Alexis did an excellent job.

Alexis, at San Diego Electric Bike in Solana Beach, did an excellent job of helping me test ride, buy, and set up my Gocyle. I highly recommend doing business with Alexis.

App set up problems

I received my GoCycle on August 16 and immediately tried to set it up. I got as far as the point where you have to wait for an email link before you can continue. No link came. I triple checked my email and tried two other emails as well. I contacted GoCycle N.America and left a message (not returned), I contacted Gocycle online support who advised I should try in the morning hours when its not as busy. I tried every day 2-3 times a day including up in the middle of the night. I finally got a link on August 24. Very disappointed that I had to miss out on a ride and had to wait so long and take up so much of my time to get through the registration and set up process. My review is just for this part. I love the bike itself and fingers crossed there are no future app problems!

The reason for the issue is that Google recently and without warning changed their Cloud based email thresholds which caused many of our customers to not receive their confirmation emails as well as many other Google customers issues. You will receive great customer attention!

My husband and I had a super experience with Shawn Jenkins at the OTR Garage! Shawn gave us all of the information we needed to make the best bike decision. I really appreciated his attention to my needs (small female). The support staff was also excellent, responding to questions before and after the sale without delay.

Gocycle makes a great e bike but they…

Gocycle makes a great e bike but they fail at exceeding the customers expectation for service My $6K bike arrived missing parts. The gocycle dealer was exceptional in getting the bike replaced however, gocycle unlike exceptional companies was slow in replacing the bike, I can send a bike fedex ground and have it arrive in 2 days. Gocycle takes 6 days. If you are selling a bike that costs $6K you need to provide outstanding responses to remedy issues if you want to grow. Also direct customer to customer interface is critical not rely on emails etc as the sole way to communicate with customers regarding critical issues.
Gocycle makes a good point re expedited shipping. I did ship 2 bikes fedex ground and took 2 days but they were not e bikes. I increased by rating to 4 stars. Again the bike itself is fantastic and with improved quality control Gocycle easily could be 5 stars.

Thank you for your feedback. Expedited shipping would certainly have saved some days of transit from our TN warehouse to LA. Airfreight is quite complex for ebikes these days where there are more restrictions on documenation due to lithium batteries. This is one of the reason we feel ground service shipping is more reliable - albiet slower. The root cause here is that we delivered a product to you that was not as ordered/expected out of the box and we are sorry about that. Exclusive Bike Rider

(Edited) I ride bikes, exclusively, because of my back. Gocycle was my first e-bike experience. Unfortunately, I could not watch the videos when setting up my e-bike app, and I think I should have tried to find them. It would have been better for me to start under “city” mode. I was in “eco” mode when I bought it, and the seat was not properly adjusted. My knees have never hurt before, but now they do after riding it that fist time with the wrong adjustment, and it has been over a week. So, make sure it is adjusted correctly, and, start with a lot of assistance to begin with, and then adjust the amount of assistance once you are used to it.

Also, watch the video for how to attach the front pannier so that it does not move while biking.

As for the rear saddlebag, if you fold the bike, be sure to readjust the rack before use. I wore down my rear tire sidewall with the saddlebag once🙃

Now that I have figured it out, I think it is a great e-bike. The transitions are smooth, and it is easy to use. (Other e-bikes were a bit more complicated when I tried them.) It also is REALLY easy to fold, which is wonderful, and small enough to transport in a trunk:):)

Also, the customer service is PHENOMENAL! I got a useful response to my original review, and when I started a chat online, I got an agent almost right away. That is hard to find these days:)

A great balance of security with…

A great balance of security with practicality , is what I’ve found with my purchases and the Gocycle store . Perhaps its because I’m late in the market but the journey can’t have been easy given the design formalities that have taken place , the bike recreates this desired conclusion for on a daily basis and in the process , it generates a confidence in the companies future .

The bike is great

The bike is great! It was sent quickly and efficiently. It would have been nice to have an email that it was shipped. I received one from FedEx, so I got the info anyway. Excellent product! I have 4 other e-bikes and I was blown away by this one. I'll be watching what new things Gocycle comes up with.
