Absolute disgrace!
First time I’ve felt the need to walk out of a restaurant and instantly write a review. Me and my family are heading on holiday and had some breakfast at the Giraffe restaurant in Manchester T2. My son ordered the pancakes and strawberries and received 1 small strawberry cut into 4. This we only received after sending them back because he had zero strawberries to start with. I was then accused of swearing at the server which I fully deny doing! Never been so angry in a restaurant, to not only get served a pathetic amount of food at extortionate prices but to then have a restaurant manager come over and accuse me of swearing at the staff! I would fully recommending avoiding this place and was not surprised at all to see it already has a rating of 2.3!

If I could leave a zero star review I would. We arrived at Giraffe at Heathrow, a lady gave us 2 menus and said sit wherever you want. We chose a booth, looked over the menu and waited. No one approached us for about 15 minutes. We saw the QR code and thought we’d order via that but we didn’t have a table number and it’s says on the menu please ask staff for a table number if you don’t have one. So my husband got up, asked a server behind the drinks bar area and she very rudely told him to sit down and wait and someone would be with us and actually tutted at him.
So we sat down, waited 10 minutes and no one came. A woman walked past and said to us I’ll be there in a minute. She took another 10 minutes and finely took out order.
I ordered eggs Benedict and my husband a breakfast bap. I saw a plate come out and sit on the hotplate with eggs Benedict, it sat there and about 10 minutes later our waiter bought it over to me, at that point I refused it, she said she waiting for my husbands bap to be done which was why she left it on there. I explained why on earth would I want to eat eggs that had been sat there for 10 minutes over cooking and pay £15 for it? We refused the food and left. Honestly the worse experience ever and we wouldn’t even entertain a giraffe restaurant now. Choose elsewhere if you are going to Heathrow.

We visited Giraffe Gatwick Airport, London, on July 19 2024, on our flight back home. We hade lunch and payed more than GBP 72. The food was late, cold, too expensive, and tasteless. The server was unfriendly and had no clue how to treat a customer. I believe it was the first, last, and only one chance we gave to Giraffe Restaurants.

Awful, after a long time they produced a cold fry up and a katsu sandwich (actually ordered a katsu curry). The restaurant wasn't even that busy. It's no wonder airport food has such a bad reputation. This lot shouldn't be allowed to operate in an airport as they are obviously incapable of providing a service
Giraffe - wish they had stuck their NECK out more for a better experience
Visited the Birmingham Airport restaurant for breakfast on our way to Dublin. The member of staff greeting us advised it would take at least 8 minutes for a member of staff to take our order and the same length of time for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was less than half full The menu proclaimed Giraffe aim to deliver the food in under 10 minutes. My wife’s breakfast arrived but the Danish pastry I ordered did not so unable to find a waitress I had to walk to the service area to chase up. Perhaps the menu should be amended to Warning - Expect Long Wait!

What an absolute shambles!
Half the food didn’t turn up, the other half was wrong, the staff didn’t check allergies (we have allergies).
Overpriced
Good waitressing experience, however food is way over priced. Paid £9.50 for about 6 nacho chips with barely any toppings on.
Appalling service at T1 at Manchester…
Appalling service at T1 at Manchester Airport. The sign said wait to be seated and the staff were happy to chat amongst themselves and ignore us whilst we waited. We couldn't get the app to work and the staff refused to take an order manually or assist. I used to like this restaurant when you could order from a real person, but I certainly won't be going again. We left for the Grain Loft were the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Poor experience at Manchester Airport Giraffe
Although a pressured throughput, there was a really confusing mix of table service and online pay system. Stick to one or the other or it causes a touch of consternation. My friend ordered a pint but got two and was made to feel that it was his fault.
Our Vege Breakfast style plate wasn't really very nice, scrambled egg wasn't available.
Positives is that the phone based ordering was good and we got a table with a view.
