Gillibrand Accident Repair Centre is a family run accident repair business located in Blackburn, first established as a wheelwrights and blacksmiths by the Gillibrand family in 1859, but now specialising in high quality paint and body vehicle repairs. We are enormously proud to be approved by many vehicle manufacturers including Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volvo, Polestar, BMW, MINI, Suzuki, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, Kia and CUPRA. In order to become an approved repairer for the leading vehicle brands such as VW and Audi, our paint and body technicians have to be highly trained by the people who manufacturer the cars at their very own, specialised training centres. By regularly attending the manufacturer training courses it ensures we are kept right up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and repair processes. As well as receiving excellent training in vehicle paint and body repairs, the other benefits of being a repairer approved by multiple manufacturers is that we will only ever use/fit genuine parts, the paint and materials have been approved by the relevant manufacturer and we follow the correct repair methods to repair vehicles to the highest standard. We also hold a British Standards Kitemark which is an industry accreditation associated with repair quality and safety.

Top quality repair, quick turnaround
Having struggled to find a reliable garage for repairing my Polestar 2, I was pleased to find Polestar-approved Gillibrand.
The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The phone is answered quickly, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the car was collected for repair and delivered back home.
Very pleased with the quality of the repair, and the car was returned a week earlier than expected.

Excellent service and quality of repairs
I recently had an awful experience, whereby I was forced off the road by a speeding car that failed to stop. I had only had my brand new Mini for a few months so this was most upsetting.
Gillibrand took all the stress and upset away with their professionalism, empathy and consideration. My car was recovered very promptly and repaired to the highest standard using BMW parts. I was kept completely up to date with the progress of the repairs, which were completed in a very timely manner.
I must also say that the staff that I dealt with - Natalie and Keith were amazing. They were so friendly and really made me feel that they would look after my car with care and consideration. I would also like to thank the mechanics in the body shop for the quality of the repair, the speed of it and the immaculate condition that my Mini was returned to me.
A truly excellent and seamless experience with Gillibrand in such an upsetting time. Thank you to you all and you deserve the excellent feedback that you receive.

Outstanding work and communication by all the team. I was vey nervous of anyone collecting my car for repair it was all new to me.
From collecting my car to me picking it up the communication was 2nd to non. The work carried out was fantastic, my car looks brand new, even got an unexpected valet.

good service after an accident
I called Gillibrand once it became obvious that my car was unfit to drive due to an accident. They collected it that afternoon and gave an estimated time for repairs. The car was repaired to a high standard on time and delivered back to me promptly. I found the staff to be very polite and helpful.

Perfect
Perfect - honest at the start with time frame which really helped with expectations. A simple text msg each week with updates and then called to discuss options with the car and when complete, a simple call when it was ready and represented to me with a explanation of the work carried out.

Do not accept liability
My car went in for a minor repair and came out with more damage. Gillibrands will not take liability for it as it was “already there” according to their “inspection” when receiving my vehicle. So now I have a wonderful green mark on my car

Hello, thank you for leaving us a review. We do a thorough inspection on every vehicle when they arrive on site with us and make a record of any existing damage. Unfortunately, the 'damage' you are referring to was already present, this was explained to you by our workshop supervisor who advised you the 'damage' looked more like tar from the road and was clearly already present before your vehicle arrived with us as it had 'weathered'. As a gesture of goodwill we tried to rectify this issue for you.
100% happy - thank you. Easy to deal with.
Lovely job on my beautiful car after accidental errant towbar collided with front bumper/grille/sensors. Looking at my car now you would have no idea anything had happened. Excellent communication at every stage from Gillibrands, helpful and thorough. Very patient too! Clear and accurate timescales, fully informed throughout. Drop of and pick up no hassle at all and manufacturer recognised repair guarantee provided. Thank you all, Ariane has the patience of a saint and deserves a particular mention. Would recommend this bodyshop without hesitation.

The service here is absolutely…
The service here is absolutely excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to take my car back there again if needed. I was kept informed at all times about my car when it went in for repair. I had to change the date also at very short notice and it wasn’t a problem and they did it the week after. The staff are very friendly ( they actually answer the phone straight away- no queues!) and the job was even completed 5 days early. I’m so happy with the job they did on my car and the even valeted it for me. 10 out of 10 from me!
