Loved the support at Gethost I think…

Loved the support at Gethost I think they are superior when it comes to their craft. Magara AI uses their services as we have complex needs from e-commerce to multiple DNS entries it just works would recommend it for anyone looking for stable hosting and domain management. Well done !!

I cannot recommend Gethost for any…

I cannot recommend Gethost for any serious or dynamic website. My experience exposed severe competency and security issues.

Limited Technical Knowledge: Their support team's expertise seems restricted to basic WordPress. For a custom, dynamic website requiring server-side configuration, they were completely out of their depth. They failed to fix a critical server setting and provided an incorrect, non-technical reason for the failure.

MAJOR SECURITY RED FLAG: To make matters worse, in an attempt to investigate, a support agent REQUESTED MY WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD. This is an alarming, unprofessional, and deeply insecure practice. Legitimate hosting providers never ask for this. They should only use hosting panel, FTP, or SSH credentials. This single request demonstrates a fundamental lack of security protocol, putting customer data and intellectual property at direct risk.

Conclusion: Gethost is unsuitable for anything beyond the simplest setups. Their lack of expertise for dynamic sites, combined with a shockingly poor grasp of security basics, makes them an unsafe and unreliable choice. I am migrating my website immediately to protect it.

Server Configuration:
You requested a global change to max_input_vars at the server level. On shared hosting, these master configuration values are standardized to protect performance, stability, and security for all customers on the server. Global server-level changes are only available on VPS or Dedicated environments where resources are isolated.

Admin Access:
Our team requested temporary access specifically to assist with maintenance mode during troubleshooting. However, our preferred and documented support methods are secure access or temporary access links. We’ve reviewed this case internally to ensure communication around this remains clear.

Your request involved configuration changes outside the scope of shared hosting, and we’re sorry our platform wasn’t the right fit for that requirement. We wish you the best with your new provider.
