GE Chef Connect is by design faulty
I have a range and I have a ventilation hood from the same company. No matter what I do, you can never get them to connect as promised. No matter how closely you follow the instructions, it does not work. I got it to work once and then it simply stopped. The software is poor and for what I paid I expected more. I will not be buying this brand again. I can connect a Local Area Network easier than I can get my oven to talk to my own range hood. The software is utterly appalling and they offer no help whatsoever.

I have issues with it from the very beginning the compressor failed. The fans failed. No matter how many repairs I had, it never fixed the problem and then the compressor went. Of course after my warranty was up. I also purchased a GE microwave. I’ve been in the house 5 1/2 years. I am on my third microwave is just a fluke no it’s not this is corporation greed. They don’t care about the consumer. Freezer Circulation Fan Keeps Failing, and Refrigerator and Freezer won’t cool. No Lasting Fix and significant downtime over and over again.
I purchased a GE Monogram refrigerator (Model ZISS480DNBSS, Serial LR034079) in July 2020 expecting premium quality. Instead, I’ve had repeated failures and no lasting solution from GE.
Problem: The freezer circulation fan keeps freezing up and burning out and refrigerator won’t cool below 50 degrees, making it unusable. Additionally, the icemaker has burned out and been replaced 4 times over a 2-year period.
• November 2024: Fan Failed
• January 2025: The Bodewell Technician for GE replaced the drain pan and evaporator kit. We could not use refrigerator for 2 months between November 2024 and January 2025.
• May 2025: Fan failed AGAIN!
• June 2025: The Bodewell Technician for GE replaced drain pan and evaporator kit again.
• July 2025: Three weeks later, the fan failed AGAIN and the refrigerator is out of commission with no repair date scheduled.
This is the same repair over and over, with no permanent fix. Customer service has been unhelpful — no redesign, no alternative solution, and no replacement fridge. We have had difficulty each time as the consumer advocate from GE Monogram is unable to get the technical support team to assess the situation. Ultimately the technical support team has the authority to determine whether a refrigerator is not repairable. However, we are not permitted to speak directly with this group, and they are not responsive to the GE Monogram consumer advocate team.
This is unacceptable for a luxury appliance at this price point. GE/Monogram needs to take responsibility and resolve this issue permanently.

I was foolish enough to purchase a GE…
I was foolish enough to purchase a GE Dryer (model PTD70EBPT0OG). It was delivered to me with a known defect. A pulley system was defective from the factory and as a result it make a horrible noise when running. GE sent a repair service to replace the defective part. Fifteen months later that same part failed and its making the same noise. Now GE is telling me I have to pay for the repair because its out of warranty. All I can say is, WHAT A SCAM. I'll be selling the piece of garbage dryer and the matching washer on craigslist ASAP and buy new appliances from a brand that has better quality. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GE PRODUCT AGAIN.
GE is a failure
I got GE cafe appliances as part of a package when i built my home.
My oven glass door shattered while cooking thanksgiving for my family. I asked customer service for help in replacing the glass, and what parts i would need. The agent refused to help and told me i had to tell them what parts i needed. So i ordered every single part of the over and have a whole over, minus the glass door, sitting in my garage. All she had to do was give me a tiny bit of help finding the proper part.
Now my dishwasher has sprung a leak in the water hose, always great to see a puddle of water on your hardwood floor. I know how GE works, so i found the part number and ordered a new hose (while also finding so many reviews with the same issue). I never got a confirmation, but saw the charge come out of my bank. The page says 3-5 business days for shipping. I ordered on Aug 02, knowing it was past the regular hours. So Aug 4th is day 1. The info shows my order was filled and ready to ship on the 4th, finally picked up on the 6th, and scheduled for the 11th. Where are the 3-5 days at? I ask customer service and they tell me "The delay could have been the order may was picked up after their cutoff time, it probably wasn't scanned in in time. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a definite answer. You would need to speak directly wit FedEx to see why the order did not move as fast."
GE not only makes horrible garbage products that will fail, but their customer service only exists to push responsibility elsewhere.
What a shame, this company used to be a standard-bearer. Now GE sets the low bar. Absolutely shameful.
Unresolved Warranty Issue with Café (GE Appliances)
For over 2 months, we’ve been without a working refrigerator — under warranty.
GE has sent wrong parts, canceled 5+ repair appointments (often the same day), and provided no solution, even after speaking to a supervisor.
We’ve had to take time off work, wait home all day, and throw away spoiled food repeatedly.
This is unacceptable. We demand a working fridge, correct parts, and compensation.

Je vis une situation préoccupante concernant une laveuse GE que achetée en avril 2024.
Celle-ci m’a été livrée avec un défaut de fabrication. À ce moment, GE a reconnu le problème et a assumé les frais de réparation.
Or, en juin 2025, 14 mois après l’achat, la laveuse est de nouveau tombée en panne.
Selon le réparateur mandaté chez Giasson Lacon, il s’agit de la carte mère, une pièce présentement indisponible.
Celui-ci m’a également confirmé qu’il s’agissait d’un problème récurrent pour ce modèle.
À ce jour, la laveuse est hors d’usage depuis plus de deux mois, ce qui me prive, ainsi que ma famille, d’un bien essentiel à la vie quotidienne.
J'ai demandé à GE de procéder à l’une des deux options suivantes, dans un délai raisonnable : 1. Me fournir une laveuse de remplacement neuve, ou
2. Me rembourser le coût d’achat initial de la laveuse
J'ai aussi demandé :
Le remboursement des frais d'évaluation du 11 juillet dernier du technicien de chez Giasson Laco, soit 179,31 $ ;
Un dédommagement pour perte de jouissance, considérant que je suis privée d’un appareil fonctionnel depuis maintenant plus de 60 jours ;
Un remboursement des frais encourus pour 50 lessives effectuées en buanderie, à raison de 3,50 $ chacune, soit un total de 175 $.

I bought a GE dryer
I bought a GE dryer, which was delivered on June 16, 2025. The dryer quit working on July 2. I have scheduled 3 services calls. The first appointment was scheduled between 12-5. The technician called after 6pm stating he was 1 1/2 hours away still and wanted to R/S. I agreed. The next appointment the tech did not show or call. I scheduled an appt for today, and called to confirm and was told I do not have an appointment. I called Consumer Relations, which was NO HELP. Do not buy GE products. They fail and you cannot get service.

GE Factory service doesn't follow thru
My complaint is for GE factory service by Bodewell(new name for GE Factory service) I have my refrigerator under contract. Contract was thru assurance and while I had to make a few calls to find the right person to come and do the work, their follow thru is horrible. Two times I had appointments for them to come finish and fix the fridge and both s
Times the parts hadn't made it. And while I am upset that I can't keep food in fridge for 2-3 weeks, the more upsetting is that both times I stayed home waiting for service guy and no show, no call and no updates occurred. Then I finally got a hold of them after waiting for 44 minutes on hold, and they just say sorry and they push off appointment for 10 days. So they are hard to get ahold of, they didn't call and had no shows and I recieved a part in mail, they said I should of recieved 2 of the in which I did not recieve them. And then there website they go to geappliances.com. Com/service which doesn't exist. Absolutely terrible followup and they need to update their voice prompts.

I would not recommend GE Appliances to a friend or family member. I purchased a stove that has needed repairs four times, and GE still refuses to offer a replacement or refund. On top of that, a freezer I bought just two years ago suddenly stopped working, and since it was out of warranty, I had no choice but to throw it away. Based on my experience, the quality of GE products seems to be very poor and unreliable.
Crosley and GE Appliances SUCK
We purchased a Crosley (made by GE) front load washer less than 4 years ago and within the last 18 months or so, it began having problems balancing during the spin cycle. Now the wash basket just bangs incessantly against the front panel. Why? Because the "spider" (AKA, spider arm/basket assembly) broke. Why? Because it's made of CHEAP metal. GE knows this and stopped stocking this replacement part. And so GE stopped making this product. So we're stuck with a machine that can only handle tiny loads and no one can fix it, and GE and Crosley just tell customers to pound sand - so sorry, sucks to be you. I'll NEVER buy another GE or Crosley product again. Ever.

We purchased a top line Monogram…
We purchased a top line Monogram fridge. The problems encountered are too many to list. 6 service visits later, the fridge was replaced with another model as the previous unit was discontinued. Wonder why? The new unit required new panels & was over $2000 our cost. We were advised compensation was in the works. Communication on this would be great.
Numerous occassions to reach the Manger Consumer Relations, Kenya Esquivei ,emails & telephone calls 3 months & counting have gone unanswered.
Not only is GE/Monogram producing an inferior product their customer service is deplorable.

I purchased a GE profile washer/dryer May 8th, 2025 and paid extra for the professional installation and 3 year protection plan. We left for the weekend to attend a wedding shortly after it was installed and returned to a flooded basement. Our plumber identified that the washer/dryer was the culprit, and a faulty installation stripped one of the plastic connections causing a slow leak (which we didn’t immediately notice since it started behind the unit). We called Home Depot who referred us to GE for a repair / replacement. GE has been to our home now 3 times over the course of 6 weeks, ordered 3 sets of parts, and has fixed absolutely nothing - their repair person actually dented the unit and the leak has broken it completely (no heat in dryer). GE stated we need to ask Home Depot for a refund or replacement, and their service tech candidly told us GE never deems a unit “unrepairable” and will continue to order random parts and schedule service appointments every two weeks hoping something works / the customer gives up.
After explaining the issue to Home Depot June 2nd, the Watchung store manager refused to refund the faulty unit (which their installers broke) and told us we needed to call Allstate under our protection plan. Allstate, when called, told us they can’t replace the unit until the manufacturer warranty expires (in a whole year) and only the Home Depot can replace or refund us.
The dryer unit is still leaking, doesn’t heat, and nobody is willing to take responsibility for selling a defective product (Home Depot, GE, or Allstate). We did everything “right” and AS OF JUNE 19, 2025 have property damage (the soaked basement carpet we had to blow out for 72 hours), emotional distress, and haven’t been able to wash our clothes in our home for months.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Buy from Lowe’s and don’t purchase a GE product. DO NOT TRUST THEIR “PROTECTION PLANS” OR WARRANTY

I purchased a PTW600 washer and a PTD60EBSR dryer . The dryer has been replaced as it failed in the first week . Both products are very noisy when operating . We had tired of the poor cleaning , noise, and reliability of a front load Electrolux and were hoping for a quiet product . We have buyers remorse. The packaging is poor and leads to unforeseen damage .
