Your feedback is valued, however, I just wanted to address a few points in the hope of clearing things up.
With the UK no longer being within the EU we aim to provide transparency regarding the customs charges. Full details can be found on each product page within the ‘International Customer Information’ drop-down menu located below the description, alongside the regular ‘Delivery & Returns’ drop-down menu. In addition, this information can also be found within the footer of any page with dedicated ‘International Customer Information’ and ‘Delivery & Returns’ pages. Finally, this can also be found on our cart page. We find that international customers tend to understand that unfortunately, due to the Brexit situation, customs charges are now applicable when ordering from the UK. Plus, due to differences in customs charges by country, we're unable to specify the exact amount for each customer. Nonetheless, we exclude UK VAT which provides a 20% savings, often sufficient to cover these charges. Plus, with a new customer promo code, a further 10% was saved which would have offset the amount. I can only advise you to check with your local authority for exact incoming custom fees if ordering from a UK store in the future.
Regarding the shipping costs, while I recognise that standard postal services may offer lower rates, our incurred costs, which also include fees for store pickup, insurance, agent fees, and fuel surcharge, contribute to a higher overall expense. While we charged you €34.50 for delivery, our actual cost was €42.
I can only apologise for the current state of custom fees and delivery charges. I regret that you felt compelled to leave a 1-star review due to a misunderstanding of these fees and not having a chance to read our information.
