Burgundy and the French Alps adventure:

We had a wonderful experience in France, in large part because of the arrangements and care we received from French Touch Travel.

We had an idea of what we wanted on our trip, but Tenley and Eva helped shape and refine our plans (clearly for the better). We had lots of private tours and experiences they arranged, all quite enjoyable. Our 8-hour Burgundy wine tasting and tour was unforgettable.

My personal wish was cycling in the French Alps, on some of the Tour de France iconic climbs. I’m also weird, and like having a bike on hand to putter around on at all times. Eva arranged both the perpetual bike and a once-in-a-lifetime epic bike ride up the Col du Colombierre.

My wife has big-time motion sickness, with the potential for adversely affecting vacations. Eva and Tenley took care to plan the trip with this factor addressed. They arranged trains and private transfer cars with this in mind. The routes were well selected, and all the drivers were acutely aware of her condition and drove appropriately.

The unfortunate icing on the cake was my wife’s fairly violent food poisoning, which started 7 hours before we were supposed to depart for the airport. What’s more, it was on a weekend with a skeleton crew at French Touch on call for emergencies. I felt a bit overwhelmed, but Sophie stepped up and shepherded us through re-booking our travel. I felt guilty for waking her early to do this, but she made me feel not the least bit of a nuisance.

In sum, I’ll definitely use French Touch Travel for my next European adventure. Thanks to all of them.

We really appreciated the personal attention from our travel agents. It was so nice to be able to send a message if we had a question and get an answer right away. Anna contacted me frequently leading up to the trip and even during our trip to check in and make sure we had what we needed. We had excellent tour guides and drivers and enjoyed the boutique hotels where we stayed. Julien and Anna gave great suggestions for our trip and tailored everything to our interests. All in all, a wonderful, memorable experience!

We recently returned from a trip that included days in Honfleur, D Day beaches in Normandy, St Malo, and Paris. The entire trip was created, planned, and supervised throughout by French Touch and their agents Anna and Sophia. Every transfer, hotel reservations, museum tickets, tours worked like clockwork. It was a complex trip that included drivers, pickups, airline travel, tours, a train ride, a rental car ...to many things to list.
Near the end of the trip, my wife fell and sustained a serious fracture. Sophia and one of the principals of the company were there to help us get an ambulance, understand the emergency process in Paris (you dont want to go), and helpful hints on how to deal with the flight back to San Francisco.

I was traveling alone for my first trip to Paris. I asked French Touch Travel to craft a trip that helped me feel safe. I wanted a car to drive me to and from my points of interest. They provided excellent car service and drivers. The drivers were English-speaking, friendly and always made sure I knew exactly where I would be picked up. While I traveled by myself, I NEVER felt alone. The FTT app kept me in touch with them. If I needed anything, they were a click away. The FTT staff were extremely attentive both before they were paid, and AFTER they had my final payment. The arrangements they made were exactly what I had requested, no unpleasant surprises. I knew what had been prepaid, and what was out of pocket. I only needed to follow the directions, maps and itinerary provided on the app. It was very easy and seamless. They work with top-notch tour groups providing English-speaking guides. I was able to see every venue on my bucket list in the 4 days I was in Paris. They accommodated every request. It was a trip I'd been wanting to make since studying French in High School. FTT made it come true with their extremely talented staff and service providers. I will use them again. I can recommend them highly!

French Touch Travel really listened to what our family liked to do and it developed an itinerary that satisfied everyone - the history buffs, the art lovers, the shoppers, the ones who want physical activity and time in nature. While it was HOT during our stay, all the guides were excellent and very accommodating. While our hotel in Nice was adequate (but well located), we know we were late in booking and there were limited options. But, we all loved the hotel in St. Remy (a delightful town). Thank you for making our family vacation so special. Wonderful memories were made!

Knowing she was monitoring things behind the scenes gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to focus on enjoying our vacation.

Eva and Victor also took the time to understand our interests and recommended destinations and experiences that perfectly matched them. Some of our favorite memories include e-biking through the breathtaking vineyards of Saint-Émilion and exploring the magnificent historic châteaux in and around Amboise in the Loire Valley. These were experiences we likely would never have discovered or planned on our own.

Another thing we appreciated was the quality of the local guides and tour operators she selected. Every vendor we worked with was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing their corner of France. Their warmth and expertise made each excursion even more memorable.

My travel agents took all of my special requests to mind as they created the perfect memorable trip for my 90-year- old mother and myself. We asked French Touch to help us explore Lyon and Paris. They answered with many detailed suggestions so that we could pick what suited our interests. We were traveling with our son and his wife and we wanted to enjoy the gastronomy and surrounding wine regions of Lyon. Eva did a wonderful job at scheduling every last detail with restaurants and wine tastings. She was helpful with hotel suggestions, restaurant selections, activities and transportation. Everyone at French Touch was personable and extremely helpful. Clement was so attentive and just fantastic, and Julien was tremendous in helping to plan the itinerary for such a memorable trip! The APP they use is the best I have experienced with travel, making day to day excursions seamless and easy to follow - with each item daily by time, place, directions, interactive maps, etc. easy to reach agents with chat or calling from the APP too. The guides and drivers the company uses were great and dependable - so friendly. We loved the tastings, the perfume making, mustard tasting, cooking with a chef in her apartment, history, art - literally everything. 5 stars across the board.

French Touch provided excellent service in planning our 2-week trip to Paris & Provence. Their recommendations on activities, restaurants, & hotels were excellent. A private guided Van Gogh tour was a highlight, as well as the small group culinary tour in Provence. Tour guides were fantastic! My Trips app was very helpful & we had constant info for support in case of problems. Everything was fine but it was helpful having a resource in case of problems. We really enjoyed our stay @ Sous les Figuiers which French Touch recommended. The staff was very helpful & attentive. St Remy is a lovely small town a few hours outside of Paris. We rented a car with French Touch’s help-fortunately my husband was up to the challenge of narrow roads & enjoys driving with the
help of gps!

Our 2nd trip with French Touch Travel was as incredible as our first! Beginning with the initial discussion about wants and needs on the trip, French Touch Travel has been easy to work with and truly partners in designing an incredible experience. The balance of activities like cooking class or guided market/food tours with site seeing of art museums, churches, etc was just what we asked for. Each guide set up for us by French Touch was prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. Each hotel was unique, provided breakfast, and located perfectly-all characteristics we asked for in a hotel.
