Working with Freedom Founders and Dr. David Phelps has completely changed my perspective on investing and even economics in general. He is a wealth of knowledge, a genuine and caring person, and a leader. I highly recommend both David and his company.

They made false promises that they couldn't keep. When I tried to negotiate and still pay them for their services they acted like I never said anything. It feels manipulative and scamy.

Very poor experience with this company. I was told to have $ 100k + funding in guaranteed but, after 2 months - I just got approved for $ 1100 amount. The sales person was Travis and he made lots of promises in order to acquire me as a customer. Guarantee was given to obtain $ 100k+ funding and there is no action so far. Funding manager Haney Mohammad takes too long to answer questions, forgot to show up in meetings for once and it's just a waste of time. I was told that they have connections with 30-40 bankers or relationship managers but, they really had one only. All other information given from the funding manager were just simple and I knew all about those already to apply for a personal loan etc. Nothing new this company has to offer. Don't waste any time or money with this company. The funding manager told me in my second call that I had an issue with credit which I had already checked with Travis and then joined the program but I was blamed for that. It's because I'm not able to get approved for more credit. It's really a waste of money and time here with this company. I joined program 2 months ago and I gave 60 days instead of 30 but, no help from them at all.

Freedom Funders and Colin Matthews are frauds. I paid $7800 for them to get business funding. I had explained to the sales rep that I had already obtained funding before and was assured that they could get more. After getting my credit report and realizing this they promised to give me a refund. They no longer return my calls. I filed a complaint withe the BBB and was informed that I should file a claim with the Florida Attorney Consumer Fraud Department

My experience with freedom funders is that they do not follow through with their promises in their guarantees in a written contract. Everything that they promise you could do on your own and you pay a lot of money for them to do absolutely nothing they’re coaching is ridiculous. I strongly urge anyone that’s thinking about Going through with freedom thunders should think twice before doing it.

I was a member of Freedom founders for a few years. I drank the cool-aid thinking I had found the answer and it cost me dearly. I did learn about various aspects of real estate investing and that earns the group one star. What disappointed me was the lack of vetting of people selling investments. A big appeal of the group to me was gaining access to a careful vetted list of "Trusted Advisors." I understood a deal can go bad, but hopefully the vetting would protect members from fraud, ponzi schemes etc. That was not the case. They charge dues to members to join and also to service providers who sell investments to the group. A clear conflict of interest.

I wish I had known the full story about Freedom Founders before I invested. As a dentist seeking financial security, their promise of passive income through real estate seemed like the perfect solution. Dr. Phelps' story about leaving his practice to be with his sick daughter, thanks to real estate income, was incredibly persuasive. I invested $120,000 in their program, believing I'd gain access to expert knowledge and carefully vetted investment opportunities. They made it sound foolproof - learn from the best, invest with trusted partners, and achieve financial freedom. The reality was far different. Over the next few years, I lost significant amounts of money in several of the investments from "Trusted advisors". Some deals involved outright fraudsters, including:

MJ Jackson, a convicted felon
Greg Hughes of Hughes Capital
Glen Stromberg, who was selling mobile homes

Other investments simply collapsed, taking money with them:

Peak Burleson and Peak Housing REIT
The Niche Student Housing
Tuscan Gardens (a senior living facility)
Warner Robbins apartments
Highland midtown apartments
Parkside Crossing and more...

What's particularly troubling is how the group controls information flow. New members are shielded from the truth about these failed deals and the financial losses experienced by members. It's only after you've invested and lost money that you become aware of the full extent of the problems. I'm writing this review to warn others who might be considering this path. Do your own thorough research. Don't let the fear of market volatility or the allure of "insider" knowledge cloud your judgment. I learned the hard way that there are no guarantees in real estate investing, no matter how trustworthy the messenger seems. If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to be more skeptical, to ask more questions, and to diversify my investments instead of putting so much faith in one group's promises. I hope my experience can help others avoid the same costly mistakes.

Joining freedom founders was one of the worst financial mistakes of my life. You are lt to believe that the people who see you investments have been vetted. In fact there was no vetting. Not even a background check despite being told no one steps foot in the room without being vetted. There have been at least 3 ponzi schemes sole to investors. MJ Jackson, one of the freedom founders trusted advisors had a record of FELONY convictions yet he was allowed to promote his investors to Freedom founders members. He sole over 20 million dollars. Other ponzi schemes include Glen Stromberg, who sold mobile homes but never did the renovations and Gregg Hughes. Freedom founders took money from these "trusted advisors" as they were called by D. Phelps to be promoted as truthworthy and battle tested to the group. Members pay 120,000 their first 18 month for access to Dr. Phelps carefully vetted network. Run as fast as you can and dont believe a word tey tell you. They have no google page where people can post reviews and members sige a nondisparagement clause for David Phelps.
