My engine arrived very quickly… even in this run up to Christmas… very well packaged and runs a treat. I’ll be back!

Ordered at the Wigan show, too large to carry on public transport and would not be home for a week, so asked for a delayed posting. Arrived as requested in great condition.

The two G Scale wagons that I ordered from Footplate arrived promptly, safely and were in excellent condition even though "pre-owned". Their prices were very fair.

I’ve been trying to resurrect an old model railway, and I had no working trains. Footplate was the only place I could find second -hand trains at a reasonable price, so they were in fact the only place I could go. Train arrived promptly (well, apart from Royal Mail being stupid) and runs nicely, what more could I want?

Of the three big railway shops I rate them first. Have had many secondhand purchases from them and what pleases me most is that their comments on the quality are detailed enough, but on the ball. Of the three they are the easiest to get to the descriptions and comments of quality. With new, also on the ball with service. Never had a reason to grumble about packaging or the speed of delivery. Of the big three I feel most comfortable with Footplate than the other two.

An amazing experience with all the help you could possibly need. Bought locos at an outstandingly low and I would say sensible price. This company has my full and sincere recommendation to all collectors and modellers.
