Before visiting the Fitshop store in Birmingham, I was unsure which type of cardio machine—elliptical trainer, exercise bike, or rowing machine—would best suit my needs.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by (one of the Store representatives) Senti, whose friendly, approachable, and engaging manner immediately put me at ease and made the experience enjoyable. He spent a considerable amount of time guiding me through the various options, clearly explaining the merits and drawbacks of each machine. What stood out most was his ability to provide thoughtful comparisons alongside honest, practical insights, helping me make an informed decision.

Senti demonstrated each piece of equipment and encouraged me to try them myself, which was particularly helpful. Throughout the process, he maintained great enthusiasm while remaining transparent and genuinely focused on finding the right solution for me. I asked numerous questions, all of which he answered patiently, thoroughly, and with clear expertise.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Taurus Elite Rowing Machine. It was delivered on time and in pristine condition, and assembly was straightforward. Since receiving it, all members of my family have been using it daily. I am confident it will support our health and fitness goals for many years to come.

Fantastic customer service. I was welcomed warmly and felt listened to. I came in with an idea of what I wanted, and had very specific requirements. Phoebe listened to these and was able to show me a completely different model that has ended up being even better than what I initially came in to buy! She was very attentive. The Birmingham shop only had one recumbent exercise bike which was not suitable . The two members of staff I spoke to were exceptionaly good and supportive. .

I bought the Taurus Design Line Dual Pulley Twin Cable machine (Art. No. TF-DP-G-66) in Dec 2025 and installed it in April this year. Great machine with very clear instructions and a boon for my fitness regime.

I also wanted the Bodycraft leg extension attachment and contacted the Birmingham store on 4 April 26 to order it. I spoke to Katie who was lovely on the phone and she offered to check to make sure the leg extension fitted the Taurus. In an e-mail response she told me that she had been told that it would not fit the Taurus as it needed the upright bar as on the Bodycraft machine and couldn't understand why it was shown as an accessory on the website. I replied explaining that the Taurus has TWO bars which appear identical to the Bodycraft bar but got no response.

I placed the order anyway and, as I thought, the extension fits the Taurus perfectly and is a great addition to the cable weight machine.

So, two great items from Fitshop, both at good prices and very quickly delivered but I was less than impressed with the customer service I received.

I went to the Birmingham Store today (01/05/2026) to look at adjustable benches. I am fairly tall and a bit concerned about backrest length. Although I have yet to purchase, I thought the staff were excellent, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Well worth a visit, thanks.

Wasn’t really sure what I wanted when I arrived. Thanks to Katie and Ethan I now know what products I need and will be returning in the next few weeks to place an order :)

Staff gave helpful advice and suggestions. They guided us to what options we had and gave us time to consider our options. Purchase was easy as well as delivery.

Spoke to Nathan a lovely gentleman who was very kind and helpful sorting out a pricing reduction on an item we were waiting for. AMAZING service. I would deffinatly recommend this company.

Just incredible service and products.
I have been searching for ages for kit for my home gym. I didn't want to spend a fortune and there were tons of suppliers online. The reviews for these online suppliers were terrible and I was a bit lost, until I found a local store offering similar prices to these online shops, but with premium quality products, an actual physical premises and great in store reps. I turned up, got to see what I was buying, ordered everything at the store and it was at my house within just 2 days. Set everything up and it is top level stuff, feeling like a boss now and it's set me up properly for my fitness journey. Thank you guys, really appreciate the support. Can't remember the guys name in store, but he deserves a pat on the back, younger chap maybe early 20's.

Not a great experience with Fitshop. Ordered a barbell and weights over the phone after taking advice on what I needed with the set-up I had at home. Goods arrived and barbell didn't work with the bench I have. Contacted Fitshop to arrange return of barbell (weights were all fine) and get a barbell that was the correct size etc. Asked me to pay for courier for return, told them that their employee insisted that the barbell would be fine so wasn't my fault. After many emails finally agreed to arrange return without a charge. Took weeks for courier to pick up barbell (went to wrong address, not available etc). Finally returned and then had an email to say the barbell was damaged and they would be deducting 35% from the cost of the barbell. Asked to see pictures, finally had them through and they were of a different barbell which had obviously been used. Sent them pictures of the barbell I returned and the packaging used and asked for an explanation. They finally agreed to refund the whole amount (the grand total of £22.48!) So they did all this to save £7.87! Still waiting for the refund from an order that was placed on 11 Sep 25 and over 40 emails later!

Came here a while ago with the thoughts of buying some gear for my home gym - the machines I’ve got are a little old school and was looking to upgrade.

Upon arrival I was greeted by two lovely members of staff, Amanda and Mila. They were extremely patient with me as I hadn’t bought brand new and modern gym equipment before, so discussed with me the differences in the new machines and which would be most similar to the ones I had at home - like trying a water rower instead of an air one, absolute game changer. So much so that I bought one there that afternoon, and had my eye on a couple of other bits of kit. Truly know their way around the equipment, and were beyond helpful during my visit.
