Fisheyecamerakit: a huge mistake and a scandal
I ordered a bait boat from this company(fisheyecamerakit), along with a Vexilar fish finder and a camera; I paid £1,995 for the whole purchase, including delivery. When the parcel finally arrived after a seven-week wait, it turned out I had to pay an extra £5 at the post office to collect it, even I’d already paid £25,
but that wasn’t the worst of it.
In the company’s YouTube videos, every detail looks great, but that’s not the case.
- The Vexilar fish finder is rubbish; as far as I’m concerned, it’s hopeless – you can’t connect it to the app from the boat.
- The camera loses signal and disconnects and reconnects once you’re 30 metres from the shore
- The ND2 bait boat has charging issues; it takes 10 hours to charge the battery and it’s still not fully charged,
- The set is missing a battery charger for the boat with the correct voltage, a user manual for the boat, and a user manual for the camera,
Another issue is customer service; I sent them an email to which they have not replied to this day, and that was about 3 weeks ago,
A week ago I sent a private message asking for guidance on what is wrong and why this is happening; to this day I have received no reply, despite the fact that the person managing their Facebook page is available, as posts are shared every few minutes. I feel sorry for myself and for anyone else who will have problems with their kit, because customer service simply couldn’t care less about you.
Given the quality and customer service, this is a scandal, and I’d love nothing more than to return it
