I have had good trips in the past but…
I have had good trips in the past but this trip was a nightmare. The bus was slated to arrive at 8:45 or 9:15, I'm giving two times because these were the times offered, but did not arrive until 9:50 AM after arriving at the wrong location. I called dispatch, they called the driver. The program started at 10:00 AM so we barely made it. It does not make sense for the driver to have an address on the order that was not given to them. My original quote stated 342. All of this can be verified. This was not the address and it continues to happen with the local office. The bus was supposed to arrive to pick us up from the auditorium at 11:15. The drive stated "I'll be here at 11:15 AM." She was not there and we waited 45 minutes. I called dispatch at 12:00 PM and was told, "she will be there in ten minutes." The drive never came. We were stranded at the Robinson auditorium and we called a limo provider to pick us up. We watched other first student LRSD buses come and go. We were the last in the venue, they turned the lights out and we were still there.
I expect to be refunded for the second half of my trip. This was bad business and a bad experience for children, to be stranded. No one has called me to tell me what happened or apologized. When it comes to serving children and doing the right thing, we should all be able to come together and do the right thing. I intend to file my complaint at the corporate level.

The worst part of this experience was trying to get someone to call me back or respond to my email to reserve the bus. No one answers the phone, they say you can save your place in the line and they will call you back, but they don't. Improvement is much needed in this area.
Good service; local communication needs to improve
Since the first morning's pick up, our service has been prompt and professional. Our only problems was trying to reach the local representatives to confirm the reservation during the week and days prior to the reservation.

First, our driver Mr. Bolden was awesome! Every trip with him was exceptional if this review were based solely on his interactions and experience it would most definitely be a 5-star rating across the board & without question. He was patient, kind, positively interacted with staff and students, and participated WITH us each week. We all loved his spirit and definitely hope we can continue to work with him! Mr. Bolden was great BUT I have to take into account the long and difficult process to book and receive correct quotes from Atlantic Charter Quotes. I understand that the summer was busy and multiple quotes were coming in but most representatives made me feel like I was a burden by telling me that they were backed up and had so many other quotes to process. Even if it were the case, it made me feel like I was stressing them out by requesting quotes. At times they couldn't even account for the emails I'd sent & I had to go back into my email and give them the specific dates & times I sent in order for them to locate it. It was just a stressful process and not always easy to get someone on the phone or responses to emails in a timely manner. On one occasion I placed myself on the call-back list and did not receive a callback. The process was not easy and took too many back and forth corrections for this to be my first experience booking through Atlantic Charter Quotes.

First Charter Bus is rated the worst. The phone is never answered by a representative. And if someone answers it is after literally hours of being on hold and calling back and hold and call back, over and over again. If you leave a message they will call you back but hang up on you when you answer the call. The quote and reservation process is not consistent. This Friday we have a quote and reserved two trips; only one has been charged and confirmed. I have tried to call numerous time to resolve the second trip. No success. Currently on hold again for the third time today. Never will recommend or use this company again.

I am super happy with my experience with First Charter Bus Rental. It was very easy to schedule a booking, and I got the confirmation quickly. The buses arrived at my school on time, knew where they were going, and were there on time for pickup. I will definitely be using this service when I have to schedule a bus again.
The folks at First Student are very friendly and helpful.
The folks at First Student are very nice and helpful. My biggest complaint is that the local hub (hired by First Student, not a part of First Student) is very slow to respond.
