The name comes from the phrase “looking for a needle in a haystack” — a memorable nod to making hard-to-find products and suppliers easy to discover. Since then, Find the Needle has grown into one of the UK’s largest and most-visited B2B directories. Over 125,000 companies have subscribed since 2004. Our team has expanded from five people in Hertfordshire to 50+ colleagues working across Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, with additional team members overseas. We’ve always aimed to lead rather than follow, introducing features that many online trade directories later adopted. Our 2023 rebuild delivered faster performance, on-screen editing and new functionality. Since then, we’ve continued to roll out updates that improve usability, speed and results—without adding extra charges. We believe every company, whatever its size or budget, deserves a fair chance on Find the Needle. That’s why we randomise search results for product queries to keep things fair. Company forced me into a listing on their website when I said it wasn't good enough, by issuing an invoice which they later claimed via debt collectors. Avoid like the plague. SCAM!

We have thousands of members, and over 95% of them renew with us year on year. Many of them have been using our services for 15+ years. However, we are always here to speak to members if they feel that we have 'dropped the ball' or let them down. So please be aware, we are open to speak to you whenever you wish.
We have been working with findtheneedle.co.uk for at least 10 years and the service has always been excellent. Recently we renewed our entry on findtheneedle.co.uk and the staff were very helpful. But they did go beyond what other similar companies we subscribe to offer. Findtheneedle.co.uk posted links to our blog, and entered some products for us and then told us later. This in our experience is going beyond others by far and findtheneedle.co.uk deserve a 5 star post. Recommended and probably one of the best companies of this type of service out there.
