Poor support and no cancel option

Poor support. Unresponsive.
And now I can't find any button, link, channel to unsubscribe to their service. I'll have to block the credit card instead.

Dear Jon.

We have answered your questions. In the shared mode we only provide one user with grants for just one database. In your case you needed two databases (one for your principal use case and the second for the migrations tests, also known as shadow database). For that use case you need to create two separate databases (with their respective users) and reference them in your ORM. If you cannot use this approach, you may need a dedicated mode database instance, where you have root full database instance.

We are sorry, but concurrent connections is limited by the tier.
If you need to restore your database from other server we recommend following official guides

Cannot create database

I don't know what happend but after sign up new account i cannot create database. always show CreateInstanceError: HOST_GENERATION_FAILED

No support for new mysql

Things look great, but unfortunately, at least for mysql their server seems not to be updated, and it uses the NativeAuthenticationPlugin, which is deprecated, and removed in mysql client 9.

Webfilters lack sophistication

Currently if I use IP filters, it automatically blocks the webclient. Also I can't use CIDR blocks in the ip filter. Also I can't use IPV6 addresses. Many of my cloud clients only use IPV6 and force me to pay for an IPV4 address.

Basic Tier for basic things

I have a subscription for the Basic Tier. For my use cases, this is enough and is cheaper than self-hosting and/or another cloud provider.

I have a few lightweight applications and a few test databases. For this, the basic tier is perfect.

I also needed support only three times. I used the chat option (I don´t know if there are any other options). Support was always fast and helpful.

I will give only four stars because of the following:
After creating a new database, you must add your schema; the public schema should not be used.
One of my services did not work, and I needed the help of the support to understand what the problem was :)

I would be able to recommend this service.
