Medical negligence by Fertility Plus has caused harm to my wife’s health and negatively impacted our future fertility treatment.

Undergoing treatment at Fertility Plus has resulted in harm to my wife’s health and wellbeing due a serious failing in patient safety and care that led to her being given 2 months of the completely wrong medication.

My wife did hours of research into suitable fertility clinics and identified Fertility Plus as being the one best placed to help her given the issues we have been facing during our fertility journey.

We had an initial consultation with Mr Gudi who was very positive and felt that assisted conception would be best placed to help us at this stage so recommended that my wife takes Letrozole 5mg for a total of 3 months to help with ovulation so gave the initial course of this in a box.

My wife then went on to see Dr Nisha for her appointments and was given a paper bag that had strips of medication in it. Although these were meant to be more of the Letrozole, we discovered that she was actually given Levothyroxine 25mcg. This is an entirely different medication that is used to treat hypothyroidism; a condition my wife does not suffer from. This is a serious mistake as not only was she not given the medication she was recommended, but rather been taking a medication that is not needed and has subsequently affected her thyroid gland.

As a doctor myself, I am fully aware of the issues taking medication that you do not need can have on the body and as well as having taken this wrongly given medication for two months; she has also experienced side effects. Her menstrual cycle has become irregular; something that she has never experienced before in her life. This not only impacts our future fertility treatment but has also led to her worrying about what other effects taking this wrongly given medication has had on her health. It has also caused her to feel more anxious during a time that has already been most challenging both mentally and physically.

We are both very upset given this serious mistake that has had a detrimental effect on my wife’s health and feel completely let down as well as having no trust in Fertility Plus. After informing them of their error and our concerns we were not even offered an apology. We sincerely hope no one else suffers as we have.

  
 

After over 6 years of trying for an baby and having went through a recently failed IVF cycle from a well known private clinic in London, I was really devastated and lost nearly all hope in IVF ever being successful for me.

Upon recommendation from a friend. I then went to Dr Gudi for a consultation. His approach was starkly different in a positive way. Some may have been frustrated with having to wait before undergoing a cycle, but I was so grateful and willing to do this because doing so ensured success in both cycles that I underwent with this clinic (I am now over 9 weeks pregnant). Crucially, it is always important to get a second opinion and I am so grateful I done that with FertilityPlus.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Dr Thakre and Dr Gudi. Their level of care and professionalism is amazing. We are now blessed to be 4.5 months pregnant with our first little one, all thanks to the amazing work they did at Fertility Plus. Also, I must mention the compassionate and responsive team of Fertility Plus.

If anyone is considering Fertility Plus, I must heartily recommend it. One point though, the initial consultation wait time was a month and half for us, so plan accordingly.

After two unsuccessful attempts with the NHS where we couldn’t reach the blastocyst stage, we decided to seek treatment at the Fertility Plus Clinic. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and expertise of Dr. Gudi and Dr. Shah.

The journey through infertility is slow, filled with emotional ups and downs, but they consistently supported us and kept our hopes and morale high. Thanks to their care and dedication, we are now 11 weeks pregnant following my second implantation with them.

The admin and nursing team is also excellent—efficient, responsive, and always helpful, which made the entire process smoother. I wholeheartedly recommend Fertility Plus Clinic to anyone navigating fertility challenges.

At Fertility Plus you see the same doctor throughout your treatment at every visit which was fundamental to a good experience for us. Mr Gudi was kind, engaged and informative from the outset and throughout. He patiently answers any questions you have and makes the experience a calm and positive one. He also shares his number and will answer questions on WhatsApp any time / day which is really reassuring and saves the delay of going though the admin team. We saw Mr Gudi for the first time in August last year and after trying 4 unsuccessful rounds of letrozole with timed intercourse we moved to IVF in January this year and are now incredibly grateful to be 12 weeks pregnant with our first transferred frozen embryo. We are very thankful for what Mr Gudi and the team have done for us and would recommend them to those seeking fertility treatment.

I had moved over to Fertility Plus from another clinic where my egg freezing cycles were not as successful as I would have liked. Mr. Shah analysed my previous treatment plan (which in the previous clinic was the same for 4 cycles), adjusted it to try different approaches that may work better. In addition, on my scans I was always with the doctor (rather than a nurse). Both Mr.Shah and Mr. Gudi were involved, they’ve explained the plan in detail and were always available. It was extremely good experience and I was happy with the end result as well.

I can't thank enough for the excellent care Dr. Gudi and his team has provided to us. As a patient I must say that "I am blessed that you are my doctor. Dr. Gudi always gave us honest advice and the best treatment options during our IVF journey. He is a highly experienced , kind, dedicated doctor.
