FANTASTIC! Highly recommend this service. Ali Mohammed, provided a fantastic service that was afforadble for me. He was patient and listened to the issues I was facing. Ali and his team haleped me with my position statement which was the ultimate aspect that helped my case immensely. Court is an intimidating experience, especially dealing with solicitors. Ali reassured me in these times and was an anchor for me. He returned my calls promptly and was at hand when I needed it. I can't thank him and his team enough. Now my duaghter and I have the stability that we need. I have referred my friends to the service and will continue to recommend this fantastic team.

I first met Colin Brealey in March 2022. From the start he was professional, knowledgeable but more importantly supportive during a difficult time. As we progressed through the court hearings his knowledge was invaluable but he gave me the confidence to speak in court. The case ended in November with the court ruling in my favour. I could not have done this without Colin. He has given me my life and my family back and allowed me to move forward in the future. I cannot thank this man enough.

Personally, I was disappointed, left feeling that I had wasted my time and money. I experienced a McKenzie Friend who was obviously really busy - possibly overworked and cramming as many remote hearings into the day as possible. As a result, she couldn't offer or provide points or real advice prior to the court hearing or what to include (despite all the files I sent) as part of the position statement.
I've learnt from this experience and would suggest in difficult cases, or where the other party has no representation/ isn't communicating/ delays - this company WOULD NOT be the best use of your hard-earned or limited cash.
I received no real interest in my case, no discussion about the points/ issues and no suggestions, help when the hearing took place.
I will now get pro bono advice or visit a law centre/ or clinic or seek a direct access barrister rather than use this company again. I might as well have been at the hearing myself.

Tom Edrop was there for me when I needed him. I had attended two court hearings where I represented myself with no help and had come up against the other parties barrister. By the third I was exhausted and Tom calmed me and suggested putting in a positions statement. I contacted Family Law Decisions after a referral from someone I had met on a 'SPIP' who had been through similar experiences with their ex-partner as me.
I got assigned to Mr. Colin Brealey who I cannot recommend enough. Colin was with me 100% of the way through my court proceedings against my ex-partner.
I applied for a 'specific issue order' to relocate within the UK (1 hour away from my previous address) with my daughter through the courts as I had no other option but to do so due to my ex-partner's lack of communication, refusal to relocate and attend mediation and demands of it going through court.

Family Law Decisions Colin Brealey was an amazing support from the moment he started to assist me, in what had already been 17 months of proceedings in a complex family law case.
Previous to him assisting me I had employed Counsel/ barristers, but never felt I had the support I needed until Colin was recommended, as counsel costs of £3.5k p/d meant I had limited support between hearings.
As a litigant in person this was difficult, especially as throughout a majority of the proceeding's the applicant had a team of solicitors and barristers at their disposal 7 days a week.
As the respondent in the case with a shoestring budget, I succeeded against an estimate of £200k legal fees spent by the applicant and Colin was very much a part in this success.

Colins expertise was priceless and his costs were reserved, especially in comparison to using a solicitor or counsel.

The 1st hearing Colin assisted me was an application for a prohibited steps order, I reaped the benefit of his professional advice and the court imposed a PSO against the applicant, as I had requested.

Colin then went on to assist me in person for the preparation and attendance of a 2 day contested hearing at the CFC. At the end of the 2 days the Judge personally thanked Colin for his assistance, acting as a Mckenzie friend, noting that she had appreciated his assistance at court and saw the benefit of the advice he offered to all parties and Counsel.

Colin also attended the CFC in person for the final hearing and assisted me in the preparation and post hearing discussions, which resulted in an amazing final order, beyond my expectations.

The 24 month proceedings have now concluded and I feel indebted to Colin for his support and input into my case. The end result was that I won the case, with outcomes that before meeting Colin would not have felt achievable.

The truth eventually prevails, but at times it feels you get the justice you can afford, thankfully for me Colins costs were very reasonable but he remained professional and supportive throughout.

I had an excellent service from Haleema to support me in my hearing today after having a really awful experience having hired a barrister for my last hearing (and having paid 4 times as much). Prior to the hearing Haleema was very thorough in her preparations. She advised me on everything that I needed to do prior to the hearing and was very supportive and reassuring. I really feel she went above and beyond including fitting in an evening preparatory phone call with me and an early morning conference with the other side at short notice. During the hearing we communicated via WhatsApp which worked well. For a remote hearing it was pretty similar to the way I had to communicate with the barrister I’d hired previously and I didn’t feel disadvantaged that Haleema couldn’t speak for me. Haleema checked that I had understood and asked if I needed support regularly. The hearing was presided over by a High Court Judge who spoke to Haleema at the end of the hearing and then commended her for role during the hearing. After the hearing Haleema phoned me to make sure that I had understood everything and was clear about what I needed to do next. I also liked that the pricing was clear. While Haleema explained the services she could provide such as writing statements she wasn’t pushy. While she was on leave one of her colleagues answered my email query promptly. Haleema’s passion and commitment to her clients shone through. She was encouraging, calm and supportive just when I needed it most. Thank you
