Wish there was a short cut if we need…

Wish there was a short cut if we need to edit 60 workflows at once, rather than edit ine by one. Same with adding multiple keywords to a campaign at once. It's too tedious, the way it is now.

Overall horrible experience

This company continued billing a nonprofit for two years without a single use of the platform and then refused to cancel and refund the charges.
Hiding behind policy while retaining nonprofit funds shows a clear lack of accountability. These are donated dollars intended to care for animals, not to sit unused in a billing system.
The platform is also ineffective and failed to deliver value.
This is not a billing oversight. It is a refusal to correct an obvious issue at the expense of a nonprofit organization.

Special Character Fees

My complaint is the hidden fee they charge for special characters for using the first name, address, city, etc input for the text messages. These input are typically standard but with ez text they charge you. They consider it a special character so instead of you paying 1 credit its 2 credits per message and that adds up big. My first campaign was 350 but thats 700 credits for one campaign. The next day same things. They have packages but the packages are super small its like 22 dollars for 500 credits and 45.00 bucks for 1300 credits. Thats literally little to nothing if you have to use the brackets that include the first name or address. Whats the point of skip Tracing leads if you can include that person's data within the message. My messages are under 160 characters but since im using those specific characters im charge 2 credits per message. I paid 75.00 for the monthly package that comes with 500 credits or maybe 1k credits its so laughable because if I send 350 a wk that over 45.00 per wk. For an extremely low amout of messages. This company is playing people out of money. Its ridiculous 😒

To help clarify, messages are billed based on total character length, not specifically for using personalization fields. When fields like first name or address are inserted, they populate with actual contact data, which can increase the overall message length. In some cases, this can push a message into multiple segments (for example, from 1 to 2 messages), which results in additional credits being used. Longer messages, combined with personalization or added content (like opt-out language), can make this happen more quickly than expected. Good but ... EZTEXTING 3% credit card fee is a poor choice

The templates are excellent and the overall service is strong. However, their decision to add a 3% credit card surcharge is disappointing. In my view, businesses—especially service-based ones—should treat payment processing fees as part of their normal operating costs rather than passing them directly on to customers. While the product itself is very good, this pricing approach feels like a poor business choice and detracts from an otherwise positive experience.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Based on what we can see, your delivery rate for recent sends is about 99%, which is excellent and indicates a very clean contact list with delivery rates well above industry averages.

That said, with any SMS campaign it’s normal for a small percentage of recipients not to receive a message due to factors outside the platform, such as a phone’s wireless service at the time the message was sent or device messaging settings. If someone reports they didn’t receive a text, we recommend they check their phone’s messaging settings to ensure messages aren’t being filtered into an unknown sender or spam inbox. Using our Contact Card feature can also help recipients save your contact and avoid this.

It is a good service, but there are alternatives that are quite a bit cheaper. It is overpriced.

As a texting service, this works great but the price keeps going up and I feel like I’m getting ripped off. It went from $224 last year to 309 this year. We will finish out the year, but we will not be renewing next year. You are pricing yourself out.

great customer service - ease of use!

EZ Texting is a very economical and effective platform for mass texting. I have been a customer for almost 10 years and appreciate how they treat me as a customer. The platform is easy to navigate. What few times I have had to reach out to Customer Service, the response time was quick and courteous. Great company to work with.

Regarding resending a group message, you can do this by going to Campaigns, clicking the three dots next to the campaign, and selecting “Create New Draft." Then send or schedule it as usual.

My experience echoes what so many…

My experience echoes what so many people here have experienced. I signed up, had my campaign approved and when I went to send my first message and I needed to purchase more credits to complete the send. I purchased the credits but then when I tried to send the message my campaign was all the sudden back in the review stage and the message wouldn't send. I was never able to resolve the issue and tried to get a refund for the credits that I purchased for the campaign and they've been giving me the run around for 4 weeks.

This seems like the standard for this company, tell people they need to pay for credits for a campaign, they pay and try to send a message, then say the campaign is back in review, and never refund the money or send the messages for the campaign.

The customer service is confusing and non-existent. Every time you try to contact someone, if you manage to get ahold of someone, they say you need to contact a different department (despite having only one email address available for support). It was the run around for 4 weeks.

I then tried to dispute the charges in my online banking portal but that option wasn't available for this merchant. I actually hadn't seen this before, a merchant that went out of their way to remove the banking dispute option at customer's banks - I guess EZ Texting planned for this? Fortunately our company handles National Institutes of Health grant programs so we have excellent fraud protection through our commercial bank, but I did have to go in to the branch to finally get my money credited back to my account.

Bottom line, do not use this company, there are other SMS providers out there that operate their business in good faith.
