Sexual harassment & danger to minors not taken seriously
I reported an instructor for sexual harassment and inappropriate, sexually charged comments regarding minors, only to be told that they will “investigate internally” but I should not expect them to act upon it as they are only a “platform”. Overall, their response was dismissive, and exhibited a prioritisation of saving face over ensuring client safety.
During my lesson, my driving instructor, who is 20 years older than I, continuously commented on my breasts size, asked if my medical device was a recording device and expressed relief when I told him it wasn’t as he was worried he’d “get into trouble for leering,” and when I asked him if he leered at children too, he said that he believed some teenage girls are “ not as innocent as they look.”
Months later, after trying to follow up, I feel Ezlicense is still not taking my report seriously, and I cannot receive clarification regarding if an internal investigation occurred or not. I have expressed to Ezlicense that I do not feel they are taking this report seriously and that they have a responsibility to ensure their clients safety. So far the situation has caused me ongoing stress, anxiety and fear of resuming driving lessons with absolutely anyone.
I have not yet been allowed to update my star review of the instructor with a comment.
Thanks to this ongoing experience I still haven’t gotten my P plates, even though I planned on going for them 3 months ago, which has caused me major inconvenience, all because of the fear Neil caused me.
I understand their refund policy, but I feel I should be able to dispute this as I did not receive the service I paid for within my lesson. I received no instruction and spent the majority of it trying to get out of the situation without offending my instructor, as I was scared of what might happen if I did. I believe that consumer affairs would back this up.
Unfortunately many people in Australia have multiple encounters with harassment and abuse, including from driving instructors who abuse their position. Not only does it go against Ezlicense policy and breach the professional barrier and the position of trust, but it can be very triggering and re-traumatising for some people.
Based on the comments made by Neil, I worry that there may be other women or minors out there he could potentially do this to, who may be too frightened to speak up.
Ezlicense must do better going forward.

Disappointed with refund policy
The instructor for my daughter was great. The issue is the way they "sell" the lessons . You load set amounts onto your "wallet" with them to buy lessons but the set value doesnt always match the amount charged for the lesson so if you have $$ left over they won't refund it. They retain the amount which isnt enough for another lesson but they wont refund it. My $40 leftover is just "donated" to them. Imagine this with every client that books on their website! Be careful booking with them. Many emails to them and they will not resolve it for me. (I initially had $170 left over but our instructor went on holidays - we booked another lesson with a different instructor so as to try to "get back " some $$)Disappointing experience.

Convenience of booking an instructor, booking the lessons and the final drivers test was seamless. George was my daughter's instructor, and he made her feel comfortable and provided her constructive feedback that was well received. With his guidance and the required hours she was able to get her license on her first attempt. No hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.

Pretty good. Had to request a refund for my account credit, as my chosen driving instructor retired after only a couple of lessons. They tried to get me to book with an alternative instructor first instead of giving refund, but wasn't too hard to state my case and get it in the end.

Had a terrible experience — they refuse to refund even when the Department of Transport cancels the driving test, which is completely out of your control! Their “policy” is just an excuse to keep your money. 😡
This company does not care about fairness or customer rights. If this happens to you, report them to Australian Consumer Protection — it’s your right as a consumer. Don’t let them get away with it! 🚫

• You paid for a service (a driving test package or lesson).
• That service was not delivered, through no fault of yours (DOT cancelled).
• Therefore, you are entitled to a refund or reschedule — regardless of their “no refund within 24 hours” or similar policy.
A business cannot rely on its own terms to avoid refunding you when the service failure was beyond your control.

I wish I had looked into other instructors!!!!
Scheduling and location changes: I booked one-hour lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, with Thursday designated as the drive test day. (Today), Tilak has repeatedly changed lesson locations and drop-off arrangements, despite clear expectations set at the time of booking.
Burden on family: My wife and I, who have three young children and (one of our children has special needs) were required to transport me to Werribee Vic Roads for Wednesday’s lesson, implying additional stress and disruption to our family schedule, but we made it happen, as instructor advised that it would be beneficial!, and that driving test day time for lesson won’t be on time due to business of day! So why we agreed to drop me to Werribee.
Incorrect planning on test day (today) Tilak indicated that there would be a total of 45 minutes of lessons on the day of the driving test due to test times and his workload, and my husband agreed to doing it on Wednesday! We later discovered that the plan altered again, with Tilak stating that he would not drop me off after the test because Altona North is too far. This contradicts the information provided at booking and the expectation set for test-day logistics.
Booking details and cost calculation: There is a dropdown menu in the app with my address for cost calculation based on test location and pickup/drop-off location which I thought, The changes to drop-off arrangements contradict the terms of service and the expected convenience we booked EZ License for.
Communication and reliability: Tilak arrived on the wrong day (Monday) despite confirmed Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday bookings, which required us to intervene and correct the schedule. This level of miscommunication and lack of attention to detail is unacceptable.
Overall dissatisfaction: I have not experienced this level of unprofessionalism with instructors in other countries, and this experience has caused significant stress, especially on a day that is already stressful due to the driving test.
I’ve paid so much money for these lessons and driving test; and now I’m feeling ripped off with services!

Within minutes an email arrived confirming a full Refund would be given checked my paypal account
