As the roof on our end terrace house was badly covered in moss, it was my intention to get it all cleaned this year, and by chance a man was doing door to door visits in my area.
I agreed to an appointment with a sales manager who was called Stephen, who came to the house and discussed what and how things would be done and left us with a price, which to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised with.
Due to other things that I and my wife were dealing with, I did not commit to the work until about a week later.
Roof cleaning, tile repairs as required, followed by the roof coating.
Roof was cleaned on 26/3/26 and coating applied on 13/4/26 and can honestly say the guys (never got their names) carried out a great job.
Tidy workers and respected your property.

We don’t engage cold callers, but a representative from Exterior Building Solutions approached us while we were leaving. Given our property’s need for roof and rough cast repairs, we decided to give them a chance. Despite a family crisis on the day of an initial meeting, Kenny their sales rep was very understanding. There was absolutely no pressure, he suggested rescheduling. This was a rare positive experience in today’s pressured world!

A few weeks later, we contacted EBS again and re-started the process. Kenny explained our options, their product range, and made recommendations. We had done our homework and agreed on a reasonable price before proceeding.

In today’s world of counterfeit products, there’s always a lingering suspicion that we’re all being deceived. This paranoia proved to be completely groundless!

We hired EBS for a comprehensive exterior building de-moss, algae/lichen biocide treatment, general clean, tile replacement/gutter cleaning and rough cast restoration coating.

Their meticulous attention to detail, care, and professionalism were exceptional from the start to the end of the project.

They expertly masked all windows and ensured a high standard of cleanliness and finish. All aspects of their work was thorough!

We had our roof cleaned and protected by EBS Solutions Edinburgh. They carried out the work in one day starting at 8am sharp. They placed protective sheets around the house before staring and worked non stop throughout the day. Cleaned up after cleaning the roof before they started the protective coating. They were very professional throughout even though a neighbour was being difficult. On completion they walked around with us to make sure we were satisfied.

From the guys turning up at the door to Brian in Sales and all the guys involved, I think this is the most polite and professional company I’ve come across for a long time. Not pushy, not taking up your time trying to hard sell and they were very accommodating and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and quality of the work carried out on my roof. James and Scott arrived on time and cracked on without a break until the work was done. Their preparation by laying groundsheets before and washing down surfaces after the work was first class. Our roof was absolutely covered in moss and lichen and some of the tiles needed replaced. It's now like a new roof.
The initial survey carried out by Kenny Service was detailed and the price agreed was reasonable considering the size and condition of the roof.

Most professional from start to finish with clear communication throughout. Quote was reasonable and the work carried out by John and his son on our house walls was exemplary, including the biocide wash, the render repairs and the coating itself. Both were very pleasant and hard working and did a good job tidying up. Highly recommend EBS.

I had rendered part of a wall. I needed to get it painted as it didn’t all maych. EBS knocked at door by chance. They gave a reasonable quote, so I decided to use them. Corben and coworker finished job today, at end November. They apply with pump and product application works below freezing. Looks great. Time will tell how it lasts but looks like a good thick coat and should allow some movement.
