It's a scam. Don't use unless you like giving donations to them.
This is a company that accepts $$ for "gift certificates" and then you discover they have no restaurants that accept the credit. Haha. Jokes on you! I tried to use the credits twice with a restaurant they list. There's no phone number to discuss with them, and they refuse to answer emails asking the people who gifted you to be refunded. It's a scam.

First of all I agree with all the reviewer comments, this service has all the appearance of a scam and if at all possible Tock should figure out a way to better market their offering so people know before hand what they ae purchasing. I had an example of a restaurant in the Monterrey CA area using Tock to make a reservations but they will not accept a Tock gift card. All Tock support would offer is the have no control over they business and therefore no responsibility. Pretty shady.
I would also question this review board giving Tock 2.2 stars when every single review is a one star.

Complete mess
Complete mess. Total sh** show. Definitely avoid for gift cards. Had a special occasion ruined and lost a $200 reservation deposit because their process for using their gift card is so completely convoluted. Weeks later, and I still can't get an answer from Tock or the restaurant on whether I can even use this gift card for the restaurant I made reservations for on their site, let alone how to use it. Every response from Tock is "ask the restaurant" and every resonance from the restaurant is them being utterly confused as to what a Tock gift card even is. So, at this point, between the reservation deposit and the cost of the gift card, $500 has been wasted with absolutely nothing to show for it.

If I could give a 0
If I could give a 0, I would. Using Tock was a horrible experience and I have yet to figure out how to unlock and use the money on my gift card. Not only couldn’t I figure it out, but three waiters and the restaurant manager couldn’t figure it out. If the site promotes that you can book reservations and pay for them via gift cards during check out, it should work accordingly. This does not. I do not recommend this for any customer or business.

Impossible to use this Tock gift card
Impossible to use this Tock gift card. Been trying for a couple of years and can’t quite seem to unlock the secret key. Dine-in - nope. Wine shop - nope. Take out - maybe but only for large holiday meals? Ugh. We cast a pox upon the house of Tock.

Elaborate Scam
We tried three times to use tock. Each time they charged us money in advance only for the restaurants to have never heard of tock before, and leading to a huge billing issue each time. Until now, we haven't been able to use our money on tock, and there's no way to remove it. And all support does is give default answers. Fairly convinced their business model is to make the product almost impossible to use so that they people just never use the money they actually have. If you like someone, NEVER gift them a tock gift card - it's the worst thing you can do to someone

Terrible, DO NOT give as a gift unless you hate the person.
Terrible, misleading and useless. I received a Tock gift card as a gift and it has been nothing but a headache. First, we used Tock to make a reservation at a Tock restaurant only to find out that you can't actually use the gift card at the restaurant. Makes sense, right?
Tock is intentionally misleading about when you can use the gift card. I had to read their terms and conditions to finally figure it out.
So, can't use it at the restaurant... figured I'd order. I'm in Los Angeles so they have to have tons of restaurants that will deliver, right? Nope. 3 in my area.
Ok, well, let's pick one of those 3. It's 1.2 miles away from me. After selecting the restaurant, turns out I'm "outside the delivery area". What? A mile is outside the delivery area?
Screw it, let's keep trying. Change up the restaurant, confirm they'll deliver to me, place the order and about 20 minutes before it's supposed to arrive, Tock cancels the order because "we are unable to process the order with the restaurant." This is AFTER confirming my order will be delivered.
Holy crap Tock. I don't wish your awfulness on anyone.
