Our recent holiday to Namibia was nothing short of extraordinary! We embarked on an incredible adventure, exploring the rugged and stunning landscapes in a 4-wheel drive with a tent on the roof, which was both practical and exciting. The organization of the entire trip was flawless, thanks to **Explore Namibia**. From the very start, their detailed route planning and comprehensive documentation made navigating the remote beauty of Namibia a breeze. They also provided excellent suggestions on must-see sites, ensuring we didn’t miss a thing.

The combination of well-chosen lodges and campsites added to the experience, providing both comfort and a true sense of adventure. Each location was perfectly suited to our itinerary, blending into Namibia’s breathtaking natural scenery.

One of the standout moments of the trip was when we managed to lose our luggage. While this could have been a major setback, Explore Namibia went above and beyond, tracking it down and arranging for its delivery to us while we were traveling through some of the most remote parts of the country. Their dedication and efficiency ensured that what could have been a disaster turned into a minor inconvenience.

This was a holiday we’ll never forget, thanks to the fantastic planning, support, and care from Explore Namibia. In fact, we’re already planning our next adventure with them—to Botswana! Highly recommend!

Voor de tweede keer stippelden we onze Namibië-Botswanareis uit met Explore Namibië. Opnieuw zijn we supertevreden. De hele reis werd in overleg samengesteld. Er werd correct advies gegeven, tips over reisroutes, … Je voelt in alles dat ze kennis van zaken hebben.
Er is telkens een heel vlot en snel contact en alles is tot in de puntjes in orde.
Het onthaal in Windhoek is super. Alles wordt nogmaals grondig overlopen, je vertrekt echt voorbereid op pad.
Ook de samenwerking met Asco Car Hire is top!
Wij zijn alweer zeer tevreden en als we ooit nog eens deze landen bereizen, dan is het voor ons nu al duidelijk : terug met Explore Namibië!

Absolutely recommend Explore Namibia for car hire in Namibia. We hired a Hilux with rooftop tents for our visit and the truck, equipment and service were all excellent. From start to finish, we felt well looked after by Jasper, Abigail and the Asco team (thank you, Bruno) at pick-up/drop-off. Car hire included transfers to and from Windhoek Airport which took any worry out of finding the rental location. We were given a road map of Namibia and an Etosha map, plus lots of guidance on the truck and using the camping gear. The rental costs were very competitive too. We're planning another visit to this amazing country and would look no further than Explore. *****

Teimme kahden viikon unohtumattoman, noin 2000 kilometrin kiertomatkan Namibiassa: Windhoek - Sesriem - Swakopmund -Twyfelfontain - Etosha - Waterberg Plateau National Park - Windhoek. Vaikka matkanteko vuokratulla maastoautolla neljästään etukäteen jännitti, Explore Namibian tekemän huolellisen suunnitelman, etukäteisohjeiden, matkaa kuvaavan sovelluksen ja saamamme materiaalin pohjalta se sujui mukavan leppoisasti. Toyota Hilux -maastoauto oli vakaa ja helppo ajaa. Majoitukset olivat erinomaisia niin palveluiltaan kuin ympäristöiltään. Opastetut, etukäteen varatut retket eri retkikohteissa ylittivät etukäteisodotuksemme. Se, mitä oli nähnyt joskus Avara Luonto -ohjelmissa tv:ssä, oli silmiemme edessä. Henkeäsalpaavaa.
Ja erityiskiitokset vielä Johannekselle saamastamme avusta, kun yhdelle matkalaiselle matkan alussa ilmaantuneet terveysongelmat vaativat selvittelyä. Sujuvasti ja turvallisin mielin pääsimme jatkamaan matkamme.

- Erg nuttige reisbeschrijving.
- Goed onderhouden auto met alles aan boord wat je nodig hebt om erop uit te trekken.
- Prachtig land met vriendelijke inwoners.
- Aandachtspuntjes:
1) Als je in juli reist, wordt het 's nachts erg koud, dus neem voldoende warme kledij. Wij hadden zelf slaapzakken mee en die kwamen zeer goed van pas.
2) Namibië is zo groot als Frankrijk en Duitsland samen, waardoor je flink wat uren in de wagen doorbrengt. Al krijg je daarvoor prachtige natuur en de hele stoet zebra's, giraffen, olifanten, oryxen, gnoes, ... in de plaats.

We hebben een fantastische reis gehad met Explore Namibia. Voor de reis snelle, heldere en goede communicatie over wat wij zelf wilden, aangevuld met hun tips en mooie plekken. De reis was snel in elkaar gezet en geboekt - 18 dagen rondreis met eigen 4x4 Toyota Hillux van een goede organisatie (Asco) waarmee ze werken. Auto met alles erop en eraan, plus goede uitleg van te voren. Bij aankomst ontvangst door Erica die de hele route nog eens met ons door heeft genomen met weer allerlei weetjes en tips, super fijn. Hun Travelkey App is ook mega handig - heel je reis staat beschreven met afstanden, bezienswaardigheden, camps etc.
Alles is zo uitgebreid en tot in de puntjes verzorgd, zodat we met een gerust hart op weg gingen. Mooie plekken, wel soms echt back to basic & nature maar juist super mooi! Het was echt een mooi avontuur en zou deze organisatie iedereen aanraden!!

What an amazing trip.
The teams organized our entire road trip in Namibia, from the car rental to the accommodation. They were of great advice while planning, and super helpful during the trip. They greeted us with a road map of our own trip, we also had a specific app where our road trip was. Everything was great, I would highly recommend.

We definitely recommend Explore! Customer service was outstanding from beginning to end. Super responsive to questions. All accommodations were good and sometimes even better then expected.

Our two-week road trip in Namibia was made possible by Explore Namibia, with a perfectly maintained 4WD vehicle that was like new and great service.
Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy the long drive without any worries. The rooftop tent was very comfortable and we were able to enjoy our wild Namibian journey with a fully equipped camping set.

Wat heb ik genoten van deze reis en dat is zeker te danken aan Explore Namibia. De reis was door Elise tot in de puntjes geregeld. We kregen ook een heel duidelijk overzicht in welke lodges we verbleven, de route en informatie over de omgeving. We logeerden altijd in heel leuke, interessante lodges. Steeds net even anders dan de vorige en dat maakte het zo leuk. De 4x4 was een top auto met daarin alles wat we onderweg nodig zouden kunnen hebben.

Elise from Explore Namibia has put together a fantastic trip. She has been in constant consultation with us about what we wanted. She and her staff in Namibia were available for assistance at any time all through our travels.
Namibia is a wonderful land to travel through. I especially loved the people the wildlife we have encountered.
I definitely recommend to travel individually in a 4x4 Toyota; it gives the freedom to explore and go at your own pace. The car Explore Namibia had arranged for us was very well equipped and in perfect condition.

Après le tour du Delta de l'Okavango en juillet 2023 nous avons de nouveau fait appel à Explore Namibia pour organiser la découverte du Sud de la Namibie. Une organisation sans faute, une agence à l'écoute du client capable de répondre à chacun de nos besoins. Je recommande chaudement et j'ai hâte de repartir en Afrique australe avec Explore Namibia.

Africa literally gets under your skin. And in your heart. Since our first trip to Namibia, I got hooked. I absolutely love the wonderful "if we cannot handle it today, we will do it tomorrow vibe". Africa makes me forget about my busy life faster. A bit more challenging this time though. A sign that maybe I pushed the gaspedal a little too hard and for too long before my vacation 🙈🙈🙈 Luckily, Elise from @explorenamibia has once again delivered an amazing experience! Sorry, Elise, for all my critical questions and last-minute changes, but most importantly, THANK YOU! We have made memories that will last a lifetime. We have seen the most beautiful starry skies and had incredible encounters with wildlife. You managed to take me out of my comfort zone by letting us camp in a place without water, electricity, and toilets, but with a lot of wild animals! Who would have thought that seven years ago when I first met you? One thing I know for sure: I would blindly recommend traveling with Explore Namibia to anyone!

Als je vier keer met dezelfde organisatie een verre reis boekt, dan wordt je misschien wel de moeilijkste klant. Want... hoe kan het de vorige keer evenaren? Of zelfs overtreffen?

Ok, ik ben heel eerlijk, ik ben gekleurd. Ik ken na drie reizen het bedrijf een beetje, en ik wordt er gewoon blij van. Dus is de keuze om dan je nieuwe reis opnieuw uit te laten zetten bij Expore een makkelijke. Maar ook eerlijk: Alles wat je ervan verwacht is gewoon de vierde keer ook weer helemaal top. Van het contact vooraf, tot de aankomst in Windhoek met een flesje wijn en alle informatie.

Wij hebben vier weken mogen reizen door Namibië en Botswana. Vier weken ontkoppelen van alles wat wij kennen in Nederland en waar we ons verplicht toe voelen. Even helemaal in de natuur, je vergapen aan de zonsondergang en wegdromen bij die groep olifanten.

Al met al was het gewoon heerlijk. Was het helemaal foutloos? Nee, we mistten een vrij belangrijke voucher voor in de nationale parken in Botswana. Maar als je met één belletje en een beetje wifi (met dank aan het nationale park) binnen een half uur alsnog de juiste documenten hebt, dan doet dat je beleving alleen maar ten goede. :)

Dus aan alle mensen bij Explore die dit voor ons heeft gedaan: Heel erg bedank! Ik geniet al weken na van deze fantastische reis.

Teimme Explore Namibian räätälöimän noin kolmen viikon matkan, jossa kiersimme pari viikkoa Namibiaa paikallisen kuskin kuljettamana, olimme kaksi yötä Victorian putouksilla ja kaksi yötä Botswanassa Chopen kansallispuistossa.
Toimiston kanssa oli helppoa ja sujuvaa rakentaa matkaohjelmaa. Saimme ensin esittää toiveita, joiden pohjalta Johannes teki meille matkaohjelman.
Maahan saapuessa Johannes antoi vielä paikan päällä viimeiset vinkit, kartat ja reittiohjelman sekä esitteli kuskin.
Toimisto oli tehnyt meille erinomaisen matkaohjelman. Kaikki oli hyvin organisoitu, majapaikat olivat uniikkeja hienoilla sijainneilla sekä ohjelma oli monipuolinen, joka tarjosi elämyksiä toisensa perään.
Mielestämme matkan hinta laatusuhde oli erinomainen. Täten voimme suositella vahvasti Explore Namibiaa matkanjärjestäjäksi Namibian matkoilla.

Kuuden hengen ryhmämme kiersi Namibiaa 12 päivää landcruiserilla opas-kuljettajan kera ja lopuksi vietti pari yötä Victorian putouksilla Zimbabwessa sekä pari yötä Botswanan Chobessa. Explore Africa Travel auttoi matkan suunnittelussa ja aikatauluttamisessa ja hoiti kaikki järjestelyt.
Matka ylitti odotukset! Kaikki oli järjestetty todella asiantuntevasti. Majoitukset olivat tasokkaita ja ohjelma hyvin suunniteltu. Kaikkia retkiä ei ollut sovittu etukäteen, vaan niistä päätettiin paikan päällä kiinnostuksen ja jaksamisen mukaan. Se antoi mukavasti liikkumavaraa aikatauluun. Matkan hinta suhteessa toteutukseen oli aivan huippuluokkaa.
Ajomatkat olivat pitkiä, mutta onneksi meillä oli opas-kuljettaja! Namibian-oppaamme Dennis oli sympaattinen ja ammattitaitoinen. Häneltä ja muilta kuljettajiltamme kuulimme paitsi itse kohteista, myös yleensä elämästä eteläisessä Afrikassa, joten reissu ei ollut vain tutustumista turistikohteisiin.
Koska vietimme eniten aikaa Namibiassa, uskallan suositella sitä muillekin. Maa on hieno kohde varsinkin luontomatkailusta kiinnostuneille - ja hyvin erilainen! Oli myös kiva huomata, että kaikkialla on todella siistiä! Ihmiset ovat ystävällisiä ja englannilla pärjää hyvin. Samaa voi toki sanoa matkan muistakin maista, mutta niissä vietetty aika jäi liian lyhyeksi arviointia varten.
Suosittelen lämpimästi myös Explore Africa Travelia, jonka osaaminen ja kontaktit mahdollistivat rennon ja tasokkaan lomamatkan erittäin kohtuullisella hinnalla!

ASCO car rental provide us and excellent vehicle. I couldn't have been happier with it and the rooftop tents. The airport pick up and drop off were very convenient as well. The locations we visited were also excellent - particularly Buellsport and Okonjima - as well as the hike to the top of Brandberg and the stargazing from there. Kind, professional service everywhere we went.

Had the best time and best experience too. Car rental went well and all questions were answered quickly. Support was really good at all times. I was on my own with my car so was extra scared but as I said, support was amazing. Loved it!

Excellent customer communication from Nayra throughout the booking process and loved meeting the friendly and informative Helena at the start of our trip who gave us instructions for how to get around and potential activities along the way. The information pack they provide is extremely clear and breaks down navigation in a fool-proof way. The Asco car hire team who they work with were also thorough and helpful. We had a brand new 4x4 with a "family tent" on top and it was perfect for us. Everything was in working order and of a good quality. So, the company is excellent if not quite pricey (but actually all the tour companies are pricey in Namibia and accommodation is very expensive). They were prompt with refunding part of our payment when our planned activities were cancelled due to weather. On that topic, some advice to those who may like to do the Sandwich Bay excursion, arrange it for the afternoon, as we discovered the wind is frequently problematic of a morning.

Our 3 week trip in Namibia and Botswana plus Victoria Falls visit, was very well organised by Explore Namibia. Good advice beforehand, friendly and smooth reception in Windhoek with transfer and paperwork of the car. Good 4x4 car, beautiful accommodations and a lot of information in the app and booklets. We highly recommend Explore Africa!
