A few years ago, my wife and I decided to emigrate to the UK. After getting a few quotes, we decided to do it on our own. I mean, how hard can it be? My wife is an EU citizen, and the UK was part of the EU at the time. We got rejected, and I was asked to leave the UK with immediate effect. I can’t tell you how much this debacle cost.

When we made the decision to move to the Netherlands, we decided to get professional help, and Elizette Nel from Expat Relocations was recommended via an online review like the one I am writing.

Our experience with Elizette, Janine, and the team has been flawless. Everything has worked exactly as predicted; they ensured that we crossed every t and dotted every i. Janine made all our appointments with the local authorities and made sure that we had all the correct documentation. She recommended a property broker who was also amazing. Before we knew it, we were happily and legally ensconced in the Netherlands.

I am writing this heartfelt review to express my gratitude towards Elizette from Expat Relocation & Immigration Services. My daughter Mckenzie was interested in pursuing her Science degree in the Netherlands, and from the moment we contacted Elizette, we knew we had made the right choice. We've known Elizette and her family since their time living in South Africa, and their trustworthiness made them the obvious choice for handling such a big transition in Mckenzie's life.

At the beginning of 2022, Elizette organized a Teams meeting with us to discuss the options and requirements for studying in the Netherlands. The process seemed complicated, but Elizette made it all understandable, and eventually, Mckenzie was accepted to study at Maastricht University. Throughout the process, Elizette was there every step of the way, guiding us and making sure we understood all the ins and outs, including the visa requirements and appointment scheduling.

In December, Elizette and her husband Martin went above and beyond by purchasing a second-hand city bike for Mckenzie, ensuring it was roadworthy and even giving her a choice of color for her basket. Elizette also arranged for Mckenzie to be picked up at the airport, complete with her luggage and bike bag, and even arranged for Mckenzie's original matric certificate to be delivered from South Africa.

During Mckenzie's first week in the Netherlands, Elizette took her shopping for all the essentials and even helped set up her new accommodation, including the assembly of IKEA furniture, which was a first for Mckenzie. Elizette also arranged for Mckenzie's mobile phone sim card, bank account, and registration at her community in the Netherlands.

The care and support that Elizette and her family showed towards Mckenzie during her transition were truly remarkable. They took Mckenzie out to celebrate her matric results and made her feel at home in a foreign country. On the day Mckenzie moved in, Elizette was there most of the day to help her settle in and make sure she had everything she needed.

It's been nearly a month since Mckenzie arrived in the Netherlands, and she is now living the dream. We cannot thank Elizette and her family enough for the soft landing they provided for Mckenzie in a foreign country. As parents, sending our 18-year-old daughter abroad alone was difficult, but with Elizette and her family by her side, we can rest assured that Mckenzie is in good hands. We are forever grateful.

We were assisted by Janine and Elizette from day one. They made an overwhelming and stressful procedure much easier through constant assistance. They assisted us from the visa process to the residency application. They took a careful look at our documents and application to ensure that all the information is there. Long story short, my partner got his residency and we could not be happier. I would recommend them to any expat wanting to immigrate to the Netherlands (it will definitely make your life much easier)!
