Evodesk totes itself as "The best"…hardly

Evodesk totes itself as "The best" customizable standing desk option. Their website is super glitchy but I managed to work through it after a few attempts to build/add to cart. Once I did order, I received an email that the options I chose for finish weren't available. Why was it on the site then? They don't have a lot of options to begin with...you get to choose from light, medium, or dark wood (Bamboo or some other), or black, gray, white recycled wood. Don't choose dark wood, they don't have it. They only have medium, or light bamboo. Neither of those visually work for my space so I opted for the recycled wood with evoguard finish....did they refund me the difference in price? Nope. I had to verify my backup choice on desktop via phone as well, because nobody responded to their original email they sent me and I had responded to. They told me over the phone that they would send me a confirmation email...did that come? Also no.
So the next day, I receive a shipment notification that my desk was already on its way....YAY! Nope. That's where the real troubles began. I received the desk in 6 parts, and its missing a lot. I chose the wire management tray....it didn't come. I chose the additional storage compartment....the base came....nothing to attach it to the desk came. It's supposed to be a visually asthetic desk....only one of the hole covers came for the wire channels in the desktop. Now, I did get a little note in my order that "Some stuff is missing, vanity cover and Grommet" whatever the heck those are....but offers no timing on when those will arrive? "But rest assured we'll send it" I will not rest assured based on this experience so far. This was a more than $2k build....awful experience for me. My expectations were so high because another person I know had bought one of their desks and it works really well and they had a good experience.....this means they're inconsistent and lost it at the customer service component. If you enjoy the chance of headaches and disappointment, they'll do great. If you're looking for a smooth, communicative experience....look elsewhere. Should've gone with Uplift.

HORRIBLE Company!

I placed an order for a desk on September 9, 2022 for $2,856.00. To start with it took 6 weeks and myself inquiring several times to receive parts of my desk when I was told the entire order would ship in 7-10 days. I understand in this commercial climate that it might take longer but they wouldn't communicate at all.

I didn't receive the desk I ordered. I ordered a desk with a wireless charger ($199 option) and a Freeport Plus ($159 option) and a dual-level desktop ($449 option) and have not received any of these to the extent that is at all usable.

My desk PARTS were shipped with NO instructions that related to the desk I ordered. Not only that, there are no instructions anywhere online that explain how to install the FX Package Desk ($329 option). On top of that, we didn’t have the correct screws or # of screws or desktop with predrilled holes. I called support several times and was told to email what I received, parts and instructions. I was told I’d be contacted directly after with help. I emailed THREE times just trying to get help and submitted a request in their supposed portal, ZERO response. To this day, they literally ignore any emails or calls for help. I had to get a manager involved to get any sort of response and I still don't have what I ordered.

I still need 8 screws in order to place the multilevel top on. With the multi level desk, there is supposed to be predrilled holes and screws to secure the desk. I don't have either. I also ordered the wireless charger. It came with the order but there should be a machined pocket on the underside of the desktop, which of course, there is NOT, on either desktop! So the wireless charger and the dual level desk is literally useless. They said on 10/31 that they would ship the correct desktop that I ordered but I still haven't received it. I also ordered a Freeport Plus ($159 option) with my desk. It didn't come with the desk. When I inquired about it, they said it was on backorder. I had to email and call SEVERAL times to get them to send it. However, when they finally sent it 11/17, they sent a Freeport not a Freeport PLUS. I tried to call and talk to a manager today and was told they were busy. I told them I would hold and they sent me to voicemail and, shocking, I haven't heard back. I sent an email and portal request as well with no response.

On top of that, the desk is junk, cheaply made, easily scratched and not at all sturdy. The CPU Mount ($129 option) wouldn't hold my computer properly. I bought the FX package assuming it would help accommodate it because it's supposed to be sturdier, but our other desks are 1000 times sturdier. This might be partially because we had to attempt to put it together without instructions (which 4 months later I still don't have), but still.

There’s nothing worse than a company that provides partial parts of an expensive product, in thousands of pieces, with ZERO support or customer service. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and disputed the charge. PLEASE don't waste your time and money on this unethical company in hopes of ever getting a functioning desk.

The desk is a decent desk

The desk is a decent desk that I've had for a few months now. Everything seems to be working smoothly without any issues. The main reason for my 3 star rating is that the coating on the desk is extremely poor.
I always have a glass of water with ice on the desk, and if a little water gets on the coating and you don't clean it up immediately, it leaves air bubbles on the surface of the desk. My desk is now covered with these ugly little air bubbles. Not the type of quality that you would expect when you spend $1000 for a stand up desk.
