My dad died suddenly this year and I am devastated. In the middle of grieving, my family has had to deal with a false obituary on Ever Loved written by a woman who only knew him briefly. She has inserted herself into his life, calling herself his “partner” and “next of kin,” even though she was not. She even illegally cancelled his phone number and misrepresented herself to authorities. Now she has been able to publish these lies on Ever Loved, and because it looks official, people assume it must be true.
The obituary falsely implies my dad took his own life. I am a medical doctor, and I know the language used is written to insinuate suicide. Friends and colleagues have contacted me saying they read it that way. I have been forced to spend hours on the phone, repeatedly and painfully explaining the coroner’s findings and the truth of his final days, when I should be grieving. It is agonising to have to defend his memory again and again because of this misleading obituary.
This page also divulges private medical details my dad would never have wanted online. He was a proud, private man who cared deeply about how he was seen at work, and this false narrative dishonours him.
Despite repeated reports, official documents, and even legal involvement, Ever Loved has refused to remove the page. Their own guidelines promise honesty, respect, and transparency, yet they have allowed the opposite.
If you are thinking of using Ever Loved, please reconsider. In our experience, they will not protect your loved one’s dignity or your family’s peace — even when the harm is clear and the evidence is overwhelming.
Timeline of Ever Loved’s failures:
Mid-September 2025: I reported the obituary as false and harmful. Ever Loved replied with a generic investigation email.
Following days: They said they would “reach out to the creator” but refused to take it down. I had to ask if they had given my name, as I feared retaliation.
After further reports: I explained in detail how the text inferred suicide and provided the death certificate and coroner’s statement. Friends and colleagues who read it also interpreted it as suicide. Ever Loved insisted it was not “inferring suicide.”
Subsequent weeks: I highlighted repeated breaches of their own guidelines (“Be Honest, Be Respectful, Be Transparent”) and showed how the author had misrepresented their relationship. Ever Loved still demanded more documentation from us instead of requiring the poster to substantiate her claims, but that if we prove we are executors they will take it down. Our lawyer reached out to prove that we are next of kin and executors. Everloved then said that they had spoken with the creator and decided not to take it down, despite doing what they asked. I am at my wits end.
