Evergreen Care UK is a Christian charity dedicated to supporting those in later life with compassion, dignity, and trust. For more than 10 years, we have provided care, companionship, and community to older adults and their families across Bexley and Dartford. Our mission is simple but vital: to reduce loneliness, support independence, and help people live later life with joy, respect, and connection.
We know that later life brings both opportunities and challenges. That’s why Evergreen offers a wide range of services designed to meet not just practical needs but emotional and social ones too. From home support visits that go beyond household tasks to include conversation, friendship, and encouragement, to our befriending service and Elderberries cafés that bring people together to share laughter and companionship, Evergreen is about more than care — it’s about connection.
Our values of Compassion, Dignity, Connection, and Trust guide everything we do. We treat each person as an individual, respecting their choices and honouring the life they have lived. Families tell us we bring peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are cared for with warmth and professionalism. Volunteers say Evergreen gives them the chance to make a real difference, offering kindness, time, and friendship. Staff describe Evergreen as a place where care means more than a service — it’s a relationship.
Unlike commercial providers, Evergreen is a non-profit Christian charity. Every pound we receive is reinvested to support those in later life. This allows us to prioritise quality of care over efficiency alone — spending time with people, listening, and “going the extra mile” to ensure they feel valued and supported.

Carrying on the most important functions and work so sorely required and needed in our society. All this with great sensitivity and compassion. As a voluntary voluntary worker I felt well supported and completely comfortable in my work.

This organisation is fabulous. They run pop up cafes for 60+ age group, offering drinks & meals . Offering companionship at different venues around Bexley borough. The volunteers are so welcoming and make new visitors feel at ease ,fostering new friendships. They also have a Befriending scheme which has been a life line for my family member, having a regular visitor brightens her week. I whole heatedly recommend either having lunch at the vintage cafes or volunteering for such a friendly group.
