Edu Academy Omdömen 

I write you this review on one of the last days I will be practicing. This academy is a scam. It really is. I came for a preseason tournament where it was said we would play against ACB, LEB Gold, LEB Silver teams. we did not play against them. No scouts at practices. It does not make sense. The academy did not pay the water bill so there was no water at our restaurant.

The hotel they give you is not the hotel in the pictures and videos it seems.

My room did not have toilet paper we had to buy it. The room had no towels in it. We have to buy them.

Preseason tournament did not lead right into program. Had to buy our own food and was not told until last moment

One set of keys for two people in a room.

The restaurants water got shut off so they couldn’t clean dishes or the restaurant itself. I walked in there one day and found a cockroach.

The academy is a scam and I was told upon arrival that they were facing about 30 lawsuits. do not come to this academy. there are two professionals here who were told they would be getting jobs, but have not gotten them yet. it is a big scam, don't waste your money.

This is a fraud ...
They cancelled the camp one day before the camp on the 14th. of Aug. and no refunds till now, nobody replies to my last messages or emails.

Sadly, all the negative reviews are true.
Two days before our camp was due to start on Aug. 15 the EBA informed us that it would be held on outdoor courts - in the middle of a Spanish summer. Then, on the night before my son was due to fly out they cancelled the camp.
Heartbreaking news for my son and the many other kids and families out there who signed up this camp with high hopes. As I have since discovered, the same thing happened with other camps. To make it worse, they were still selling spaces to people after having cancelled the camp. This is all documented and will be part of the legal process.
For my part, I have decided to go through the European small claims process to try and get my money back. I have also filed a complaint with the Spanish consumer protection body.
It’s hard to believe given the shiny website, but the EBA is a scam. Maybe it was a legit organisation in the past, which is why some people have made supportive posts about their experiences years ago. But something has clearly happened and these people can no longer be trusted. I would even go further and say that the organisers should be banned from running any business involving children.
There are dozens of angry families who are working together and extremely motivated to both get their money back and make these people pay for ruining the dreams of so many kids.

Dear Parents, this is my second review on Trustpilot about this Academy. The reference is made to the Europe Basketball Academy - we raise players SL in Vilanova i la Gentru. They are registered in Vilanova and London. They are not physically present at their official address in Vilanova, and the address in London is a box address for many companies.
The reason I've decided to make another review is that EBA continues to collect monies from parents who are placing children in the summer camps and then right before the start the camps are being cancelled. This happened to my son and many other kids whose program/camp ended on its second day (1 July 2022), and again to a number of kids whose camps were supposed to start on 15 August 2022. There are some parents whose camps were cancelled in previous years and no refunds are made so far. Currently parents are in touch with each other for a legal action. Scroll through the negative reviews to see the contact, join, obtain information. Please analyze the dates of reviews, you will see that from July 2022 onwards there are only 1star of 5star reviews. 5star reviews seem to be targeted at compromising the negative reviews which are true. Please be alert of names Srdjan Premovic - the EBA owner, Vladimir Mikic - the manager, Uros - staff member. Don't pay any money to EBA, it's a guaranteed loss. Check the contractual terms, no refunds can be claimed if not paid directly to the EBA account. During my contacts with Mikic, no official accounts were proposed for payments, I made the payment via myposdoteu links. Don't ruin your kids holidays!

After reading the reviews from about to be attending Europe basketball academy i have officialy said no off these reviews cause it always says they invited people to rate them a 5 star and the 1 star reviews sound more accurate with exposing them and the 4 star pretty much exposed the whole program and so did the owners after the replies I would encourage people to do the same cause we don't if a scout is gonna come or they are going to cancel it with no refund back.

The best academy for improve your skills and start your professional career in Europe with so kind staff, healthy and delicious food, good and clean accommodation, professional and kind manager (Mr Srdan and Mr Vladimir) amazing and professional coach (coach Ivan),best schedule practice for players, so i mean there is the best basketball academy in the world. Try that

If you’re a top d1 player and have the resume to back it up you probably don’t need Europe Basketball Academy. If you have real talent a good attitude and work ethic but not the resume this may be the place for you . It’s closer to boot camp than vacation but the coach Ivan at the academy is as good as it gets. They have the reputation in Europe to find you a team if you deserve that opportunity, it may not be a perfect opportunity though . It likely won’t . However without a great resume you probably won’t find a better opportunity. With Europe Basketball Academy you’ll have chance to have a long successful career if you go the academy and play your cards right . If you have what it takes this is the place for you to bet on yourself

I attended the academy before going to play in Germany Reg. 1 league for the next few seasons of my career.
They were very professional and helpful in preparing me for what it would be like being a pro.
We worked out twice a day in the gym and had access to a fitness studio that had weights, fitness classes, sauna and a swimming pool for recovery. Meals were included for breakfast lunch and dinner. We also played against EBA teams. A couple of the guys also went on tryouts during my time there for EBA teams looking to add players during the mid season break. I was there a month before I signed a deal to play in Germany for the remainder of the season. They helped keep me in shape while I waited for a team and it helped that I was already in Europe.

I've been on this academy a severel of times and it's perfect for every basketball player wich wants to develop his game on the next level! The staff helps you with their maximum power with rehabilitation and to put you on the next level. The coach is one of the best coaches I ever met. He thought me how to act on and out of the court and how to become a basketball player. For director i have also no words the best person you can meet... He is kind takes time for every player to talk. This is the opportunity for the players wich wants to successed in basketball life and to take their game on the next level.

Professional attitude, led by coaches with experience with the highest european basketball. The eba gave me a huge boost to my career. Practices 2-3 times a day, everyday acces to gym and proper diet. Really liked my stay.

I'm writing this review after being contracted (by Europe Basketball Academy (EBA)) that there are a lot of bad reviews about EBA. The reason I am willing to write a review is because I personally did enjoy my stay there. However, there is room for improvement. I will discuss my personal experience here below as well with the biggest critiques I have read in other reviews.

First of all I've spent a total of 9 months at the Europe Basketball Academy (September 5th 2020 - June 5th 2021), with a break because of covid). I chose the NCAA prep program at the start, but due to COVID I decided to focus on personal development.

Now I will discuss the negative reviews. I will talk about the following things:
- Travel distance
- Food
- Training & Gym
- Accommodation
- Pro Placement Program

Side note* I read a lot of reviews about promises the academy made to people. I will not discuss these parts since I am not from the academy and I only write from my own experience.
** This review comes from my own personal experience during the time I was there, it's possible things have changed since then.

Travel distance:
I've seen a lot of complaints about the distance you have to walk to the training facilities. Yes it is true that the distance is about a 20-30 min walk. The distance from the restaurant to the court is about 20 min and from the court to the gym +/- 15. For me personally this wasn't a huge deal. You will get used to this, expecially if you stay there for a longer time. If this is too much to walk, you can always buy a cheap bike. Luckily, I was able to get a bike from the academy after some months.

Food:
The food can be repetitive, but the academy listens to your wishes and has changed a lot over the months I was there. I don't think they are obliged to give you 5 star meals, they give you healthy food which helps in your recovery and there is always enough food. If you want to eat something else you van always go to a local shop or go out and have dinner. Vilanova is a beautiful city with a lot of nice and cheap restaurants / shops. (I highly recommend eating a Yammi Yammi if you like sushi).

Training:
The training at EBA is great. As a 6'5 player you previously only played as a center / 4, the academy has helped me improve so much and I now I play the 2/3 position confidently. The training is different daily. There is a morning practise, followed by a gym session and then an afternoon practise.
The daily training is very tough. I remember sleeping at every single possible moment when we had free time, because I was so tired. They really try to push you beyond your limit, this can cause frustration by the players. If you are not mentally ready to be able to push yourself, I don't recommend coming here. I've read complaints about few people coming to practise. I don't think the academy is to blame for this, but rather the players.
The academy is focused on personal development, so you will not practise as a team as much. This was a big change for me, as I was used to practising as a team. Keep in mind players come and go, so it's hard to create a team chemistry. During scrimmages it sometimes is hard to play / do the plays correctly because of this.
In the gym I had a strengh coach that helped me gain muscles and athleticism. He made individuel schedules for all players and made sure you executed them right. A weekly schedule you can find on EBA's instagram.

Accomodation:
During my time I stayed at 3 different places. We first were in a big house where we go kicked out. Afterwards we stayed at a hotel right next to the house for a few months. The hotel and the house were both very nice. The last hotel where we stayed the longest (and still do I believe) has room for improvement. If you're lucky you get a big room, but if you're unlucky you share a small room with another player. This causes for almost no personal space in your room. I was very lucky to have two amazing roommates. Some personal space would still have been nice. The upside is that the location of the hotel is 5 minutes from the restaurant.

Pro Placement Program:
I was not a pro placement player, but during my time there I did train a lot with them. Personally I haven't seen a lot of people get contracts. There were a few players who got decent contracts. I do think this was also because of covid.

Lastly, a piece of advice: the academy is a great place to go to, to improve your game. You have to go there open minded. You can't expect to go to this academy and expect a 5 star hotel and treatment. They provide you everything you need to be able to train and recover. If you want to play basketball for a lived, it won't always be fun. Just like any other job. You can expect good training and coaching, that's why you come there

Would give zero stars if it was an option. NOTHING was as advertised. Had to walk miles to get to breakfast every morning, lunch was terrible and never ready. Apartment where we stayed was dirty and the door was unlocked all the time. ANYBODY could walk in. We had random people walk in the from the streets all the time. Once they saw people were in the house, they would turn around and walk back out like nothing happened. Even with all that, I put up with it cause I was there for basketball. Practices were poorly conducted. No structure, just layup lines and running (sometimes 3v3). Couldn’t even get access to the gym to get extra shots up. It was promised that we would play a certain amount of games each week and that games would be recorded. We played twice in the month I was there and neither game was recorded. I brought my concerns to the staff and nothing was done. I also had expensive personal items (laptop) stolen from me. Best part about the academy was when it was over.

P.s. it was required we pay $240 for sports insurance in case of injury or we couldn’t practice. It was supposed to be refunded to us at the end of the program. It’s been years and still haven’t received it.

Waste of time and money. Don’t go.

If you want to get a foot in the door and start your career overseas EBA is a great place. It helped me get my first team and have continued to play in Spain ever since attending. The coaches are great at teaching how the game is played in Europe. I would definitely recommend attending if you serious about starting a career in basketball

The Europe basketball academy helped me get my first basketball job. They have the player's best interest. I strongly recommend the academy to any of those looking to get a basketball contract. They also still give me advice once I left the academy on overseas questions I may have.

Guys stop looking at the 5 star reviews they bought these reviews trust me their comments are turned off on Instagram for a reason and their google reviews are blocked in every country except Spain for a reason and I was just there and I don’t even know the names of people that rated it 5 star saying they been here for 3 years there frauds buying reviews scroll down to the full truth when you scroll all the way down

The Europe Basketball Academy was exactly what I needed to get my foot in the door. They helped me secure my first gig and also helped me be prepared for my pro career physically and mentally. Overall great experience!

We have been frauded by this people
we have had a complete lack of attention, kids left alone to manage themself in a foreign country, no course attended, no possibility to TALK to the organiser, a real fraud, and only promise. tomorrow is gonna be better, we will refund you, be patience.....for days and then a letter and everything was cancelled. We are going to sue them with local lawyers, please do not think to send anyone here. It is a fraud. We were not even given back our deposit and our son came back after 48 hours.

They are scammers, they made my friend lose 5000 euro they are still trying to get more money and the good reviews they bought them. Check their social media, comments are not allowed, this is a big fraud, DONT PAY THEM ANY MONEY PLEASE
