The precious metal, rescued from industrial waste, has been ground into tiny particles and mixed with an organic binder. The silver clay is shaped, moulded and textured by Esther before she fires it in a small kiln - where the transformation to solid silver takes place. A form of modern alchemy! She adds colour to her work using gemstones and enamels. In 2021 Esther achieved her Extended Certification in Precious Metal Clay and registered her Hallmark with the London Assay Office. As well as an online shop via her website, she attends local craft markets and has products in Art & Soul, Queens Arcade, Leeds and on Folksy.
