3 attempts to convert my gas meter to smart unsuccessfull, leading to a lit of stress and loss of earnings due yo taking time off work, still not resolved having to wait at least 5 weeks before next attempt which is shocking considering they damaged it, unable to get meter readings, not used gas but the cheek of EON are now wanting me to pay direct debits as they cannot rectify there own damage to my meter, complaint raised over 8 weeks ago has STILL not been resolved. Do not touch EON with a bargepole they are shocking and incompetent.

Eon are hands down the worst company I've EVER dealt with in any industry in my 48yrs on Earth.
The house I bought was supplied by Eon yet they had messed up the old meter readings amongst other things. They had the meter reading 7000+ units over what it reads and have threatened and abused me for close to two years for thousands of pounds I've never owed.
Called me a liar, stupid, confused and also racial slurs. Threatening to send people to my house for a 'Face 2 Face' spelt exactly like that and not allowing me to leave. I've spent 200+hrs actioning this and days, weeks and months stressed out in addition.
My mental and physical health are in tatters and now they realise I've been honest all along they've offered me £125.
I'm sure they've broken a bunch of laws and they're still trying to force me to stay when all I want is the amount they say I owe so I can pay it and leave.
Only then am I able to go to the ombudsman, citizens advice, MP and a solicitor as they've dragged out this complaint for over 18months and still won't send me a deadlock letter. Amoral psychopaths.
They ought to be in prison.
I've got a great credit score as I always paid my bills and they've used this against me threatening to ruin it continuously. My accounts are supposed to be on hold yet I've had to remove my phone number due to recieving threatening calls numerous times a day. Often people laughing at you, swearing and on occasion using racist language. They're simply awful and I'm close to cracking up. They know this and pass me around the office for other staff to laugh at. They refuse to give me an email address I can use for my complaints handler and insist they only have the one generic email to use.
Honestly, it's unbelievable. They're clearly doing it on purpose. I'm a university graduate and my conclusion is that all this is willful and institutional.

Worst Supply company in the country
We recently bought a house. The old owners were with Eon. We already had set up with our previous utilities company that we were changing houses but staying with them and what date to start it.
The old owners gave meter readings and what day to end it but eon instead of shutting off the utilities before us moving in decided to send us a bill for the 2 weeks between the old owners moving out and us moving in.
We called and paid the amount of 8.75 even though we thought it was unfair to pay for usage that we didn't use. The agent was told that were were not staying with them and she confirmed there were no additional charges on the account so we were considered done with them.
We just received another bill from them of £37 of usage between those dates.
When we called and asked why that wasn't mentioned in that call they gave some BS excuse that they didn't have all the info at that point.
They refused to let me speak to the manager about it either.
I wouldn't go with Eon if they were the last company on earth. I would put a hamster wheel attached to a generator and have my family take turns making that work before doing business with them.
Terrible company
Terrible company, they where amazing to get hold of and set the account up, and shocking for any queries or questions about the account, bills or general customer support.
We decided to move as octopus where way cheaper, and they decided to send us to final bills, two completely different amounts, they then proceeded to ring a day later chasing for payment. when I asked the customer service agent why i have to final bills of two amounts and £50.00 credit she just said 'yes' no explanation. i emailed the customer service team and was sent the number for Car Guru? so terrible. i would never use them or go back to them. they are shocking.
AVOID
AVOID! I switched providers was over £195 in credit, contact customer services 4 times to be told 4 different stories of when I will get my credit/refund. Was told immediately, then 2 days then 3-5 working days but could be longer. 2 month on still waiting. Customer service agents are not professional or compassionate just rude. I would not recommend.

I am not happy the way you handled my case and you try to blame it for SYSTEM MISTAKE and do not care about the pain and stress you caused us over the weekend.
Your Data Collector try to charge us over £1000.00 and E.on try to buy us with laughable £30.00 compensation.
We are not happy and we think, this could happen to more of your customers.
Again, if I haven't checked my Bill, I had to pay over £1000.00 extra.
This is not the right way to behave with a 68 years person.

If I have 101mm or above there will be a charge of £1600+ to top up my loft I can buy enough top up for my loft for £250 , to do the job , total rip off stay away from this company

Been asking eon next for months to reconnect my smart meter to the Internet but nothing has been done been told on more than 1 occasion it would be 4 weeks to connect it also been told I was top priority and would be connected within 48 hours but still nothing the customer service are pleasant when talking to you but they tell you lies all I want us to be charged for what I use and stop getting estimated bills I'm 76 and disabled but they don't care

If I could give zero stars this would be my choice. Overseas so called customer service at all is appalling & not well trained to solve any issues. I requested a paper bill to be posted to my home addres, all they did was bombard me with e mails chasing the due amount. I confirmed I would pay when I received paper copies. Still they didn’t send them & passed me to a debt agency. I am moving supplier to so energy as always found their good customer service prompt & helpful it’s bye bye eon from me. You are frustratingly useless.

I've given E.ON Next -100 stars. Their customer service is so awful. It's taken them over 7 months to exchange a faulty display meter. Its totally farcical and shocking!

After some 18 months received an unexpected bill for when E.on changed our meter to one that works. It took 3-4 months to persuade them to change the clearly broken meter. It is impossible to budget for E.on with surprise events. Why was this not charged at the correct time? How do We know it’s accurate or correct? Mike Sterland

Honestly, one star is already too much. Ron have possible the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm switching back to EDF who I used to be with simply based on customer service, nevermind if Eon is cheaper, because I cannot cope with the stress of terrible service from Eon.

Eon Next are the worst company of any type that I have had the misfortune to deal with.
Their customer service people lie continuously, making up stories to cover up their own incompetence. They don’t deserve any of your money.
Horrible company
Horrible company. I was informed in March 2021 that my meter was a smart meter. For the past 3 years I have either had to give manual readings, chase them and get appointments that do not either go ahead or the representative takes readings and does not feed it back to EON.
The company is fraudulent and has poor customer service. I have had to chase them to provide me with a bill for March and my online account initially skipped March and stated that I should pay for April.
Following my call, EON have provided me with a service cost but no bill on my account for March.
They are awful and the customer service is horrendous. I have reported them to Ico for data breach and advise others to do so, if your records are inaccurate or you have provided them with personal Data and they have not processed it or give you misinformation. Once I get my final bill and pay this month I am moving to another provider and advise others to do so.
Disgusting corporation
Disgusting corporation, decided to pursue my late mother legally 15 months after she passed away for a £79 debt that had already been settled back then which they made hard work of at the time .
Couldn't even get her name correct and threatened court action , the bloody minded side of me wants them to take it to court and let the judge witness what a disgusting despicable company EON are , horrible faceless company.
Useless company avoid whenever possible
This company are beyond crap which is why im disapointed that i cant give a minus rating although to be fair the feeble brains of their staff dont extend to negative numbers anyway. In January they billed me for weeks of electricity when I had gone home to my parents for four weeks so nobody was in my flat which I told them about but as I didn't draw pretty pictures their feeble brains didn't comprehend this concept. After wasting 4 hours on Facebook chat with customer services we established that their customer service reps had entered the wrong numbers from my meter readings.Being mentally disadvantaged is obviously how people get a job at this shambles of a company and part of the recruitment process is obviously clapping your hands together and missing
AS now in February they have done this again resulting in a £252 bill as they obviously recruit staff who can't count I don't trust them to bill me correctly The only reason i am staying with this shambles of a company who employ staff who obviously cant count beyond counting on their fingers is that their competition is just as crap once they sort out my quote ill be gone and i recommend that any potential customer avoids this company with the proverbial bargepole
