Wrongfully charged
After canceling my free trial before it was up on July 18, 2022 they still billed me on July 19. They have no way of contacting them about a refund, even though I was still charged after my cancellation.

Enotes has been erroneously charging us for a service we never signed up for or used. When called to report it Customer Service rude. Asked for full credit card number. Offered no apology snd would not refund a penny.

Free Trial Scam
Terrible service from top to bottom. Started the 2 days of free trial, and when I went to the Subscription Management page to cancel it after a day, there was nothing there. Then, hours later, they literally steal $15 out of nowhere. Disgusting company and website, please never consider starting a free trial.

I can't understand enotes. There is sparknotes and it gives you a really good view on almost every poem, novel, etc.. you need for free. Greed was never a good thing, I think enotes would be so much more popular if it wasn't that greedy.

An absolute scam
An absolute scam. The standard of writing in the essays on this site is what you would expect for a pre-teen. These notes are not in any way helpful for anyone who is studying literature. Don’t fall into their money-grabbing, lucrative trap. BEWARE that the trial is a measly 2 days! Steer very of this company, they’re out for your wallet!

NO good essays here
Awful! Don’t try it, you will get scammed for $14.99 and the essays on the site are SO BAD. They couldn’t be written by ‘educators’, they are of a far worse standard than I would expect from my Year 10 students. You will not gain anything from reading any of the banal rubbish on this site so steer well clear of any ‘free’ trials or subscriptions.

I canceled my trial and they still charged me $14.99 for the month. I opened a PayPal case and they managed to win. Poor customer support. They just want to take your money.
