App is great, love the sound experience. I decided to upgrade my membership because of a 50% annual discount, but then immediately saw a full lifetime subscription for a good price point, which I signed up for. But I was still charged for the annual subscription, and then I got an ADDITIONAL charge of $119.99. I reached out using their Support AI, but received a message that I did not meet their refund requirements. I JUST SIGNED UP! I am severely disappointed in the business end of this company and will be escalating this to my bank and Apple as a scam.

Avoid this scam!!! Paid for a yearly subscription via Google. But the subscription did not appeared in the app. To refund you have to go to a special link - that says you are not eligible. Support is garbage AI that says you have to go to that link. The page with refund was built by AI 100% as it even exposes some debug info (localStorage: false). If you have anxiety or adhd - definitely don't try them if you don't want to enter full-rage mode.

Was charged a WHOPPING 119.99 with no warning on a service I did not request? Not even possible to request a refund through the appstore. This is an incredibly predatory business model that doesn’t take into account BUSY COLLEGE STUDENTS! I am broke and they took out my last payment leaving me completely and totally broke.

I have used Endel for years. I don’t know what they have done but they took something that was so easy and intuitive and screwed up. You have to make multiple selections. It is so hard to use. I want to hit a button and hear the selected sound. Done. Easy. Not program a flashing vcr.

Update after Endel reply and trying to use their suggestion - now I would give the app a negative three stars review. When you go into it - you get locked into a lifetime renew screen - I still have six months on my subscription so not necessary and a waste of my time. I had to kill the app and log back in. I want to meditate or use the app for focus not get annoyed with it but as the stoics say it is still your fault if it makes you feel bad, if it provokes an angry response from you in turn so I write reviews and feel free not bad. Endel has crossed the line from not just screwing up their app but being a little scummy. Just my speculation and pattern recognition but when companies do this they need revenue and know their runway is short so they better monetize before the last person in the building closes the door and turns off the lights. It’s been fun Endel. I hope I get to use my six remaining months. Good Luck to you little app maybe you can pivot and save yourself before it’s too late.

I toggled free trial and after checking it out backed up immediately to cancel the free trial. I found a 119.00 pending charge on my bank account this morning for a premium subscription. There is no contact information or way to contact the company at all for the “subscription” page. This is AI robbery. What happened to app purchases that used to show what the cost was instead of jamming you into free trial pages that are traps?
I want a refund for something I did not purchase.

Toggled on the free trial after downloading the app, and I was immediately charged $59.99 when I advanced to the next screen. I sent a support message asking for a refund and am awaiting a response.

I subscribed to Endel specifically because of their Instagram advertisements promoting their "major upgrade" for ADHD support, featuring 852 Hz tones and Solfeggio soundscapes that "help your brain" if you have ADHD. This was my primary reason for becoming a paying subscriber.

The Problem: These advertised features DO NOT work on the web app - only on mobile. For someone with ADHD who needs to use this tool during work (where having a phone nearby is too distracting), this is completely useless.

The Timeline:

- August 2025: Discovered the issue, contacted support
- September 2025: Told it's "not yet implemented" in web app
- November 2025: Still not working after 4+ months
- December 2025: Still paying, still no access to advertised features

Support Response: "Our web developers have been busy with backend cleanup." Meanwhile, they continue running ads and prominently featuring these ADHD soundscapes on their landing page, funneling users to features that don't exist for web users.
This is False Advertising. They market a specific solution for ADHD, collect subscription fees, but don't deliver the advertised functionality on all platforms. When confronted, there's no timeline, no compensation, just vague promises of "soon." even when the main splash screen is that it's already up!

If you're considering Endel for ADHD support and plan to use it on desktop/web - don't subscribe. The features they advertise simply aren't available, and support has shown no urgency to fix this after 4+ months of paying for a product that doesn't deliver what was promised.

I feel genuinely betrayed as a customer who chose this service for a specific, heavily advertised purpose that turned out to be unavailable on my platform.

Update: Still awaiting response to refund request for false advertising.

Decided not to continue before a trial period. Now I can’t find how to cancel. Followed all instructions to no avail. They say it’s been signed up thru website. However, I downloaded app thru App Store. It’s not listed in subscriptions. I will be disputing with my cc when billed!

Absolute trash, canceled a free subscription and then it didn't just fail to cancel, it charged me for AN ENTIRE YEAR ahead of time even though their website continues to say "No active subscription." So I get to pay for an entire year while not even getting to use the damn app! Disputing with the credit card company.

Ich nutze das Lifetime-Abo, weil mich die Grundidee total überzeugt: Akustische Unterstützung statt Ablenkung ist genau das, was ich brauche. Aber in der Praxis funktioniert das für mich einfach noch nicht reibungslos.

Mein Problem ist gar nicht die Musik als Ganzes, sondern es sind oft kleine Details. Mal ist es ein penetrantes Klickgeräusch, ein komisches Kichern oder mal eine bestimmte Frequenz, die unangenehm resoniert. Statt mich zu fokussieren, reißen mich genau diese Spitzen immer wieder raus. Ich würde diese Störfaktoren gerne einfach leiser drehen, habe aber keine Möglichkeit dazu.

Der Support erklärte mir auf Nachfrage, dass die Monotonie und die Mischung wissenschaftlich so gewollt seien. Das mag in der Theorie stimmen, ignoriert aber die Realität: Jeder hört anders. Was der Algorithmus als „neutral“ mischt, kann für den Einzelnen extrem nerven.

Genau hier wünsche ich mir mehr Flexibilität. Andere Apps kriegen das auch hin und bieten simple Regler für einzelne Layer. Gebt uns Nutzern doch bitte diese Kontrolle. Eine Option zum manuellen „Feintuning“ würde die App nicht schlechter machen, sondern für viele erst wirklich nutzbar.

In Endel steckt wahnsinnig viel Potenzial. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn das Team das starre Konzept hier etwas lockert und solche Anpassungsmöglichkeiten (z. B. einen Mixer für einzelne Elemente) nachrüstet.

Beste App für Soundscapes. Relax, Focus, Sleep, Study und mehr. Absolute Empfehlung.

been with endel for 5+ years. it’s evolving constantly and genuinely helps. the focus timer is my daily tool, and the soundscapes keep me on task (adhd-friendly). worth it.

App is not great for what I need.

I canceled it immediately and now they are trying to charge me $120, even though I cancelled the app minutes after the download.

Total scam on billing!

Don’t use your debit card for this purchase, you may never be able to cancel it conveniently. Then they’ll play dumb while you have two or three $119 charges hit you.

Endel makes great focus and relaxation sounds — the app itself deserves 5 stars.

But when I signed up on Aug 2, 2025 for a 7-day free trial, I was charged ~$60 that same day. The invoice only covered 3 months, and the app shows confusing billing info (like a “next billing” date months before I even subscribed).

I’ve emailed support four times and received zero response. That’s not acceptable.

So: 5 stars for the product, 0 for customer service. Overall I’m leaving 2 stars until Endel fixes their billing practices and actually responds to customers.

Weirdly enough, it works! I have troubles falling asleep, and Endel's Sleep mode helps me a great deal. I leave it on through the night and feel much fresher in the morning. I've started using Focus while working lately, and it helps me concentrate, too. It sounds weird, but this thing actually works for me.

****SCAM***I have not a clue who these people are. I have never downloaded their app. I don’t know what they stand for what their business is but yet somehow my credit card was charged $127 and it has been very rough getting my money back this is ridiculous. I don’t know how they get people‘s information or what is going on because I’ve never heard of them in my life

Endel has really helped me focus at work but also wind down coming home from the office. I feel a bit more mindful overall

I don’t know what they put in these sounds but they work. I just do stuff with it, doesn’t matter work related or personal. Pushed quite a few projects with Endel on the background already. Definitely worth the money for me

Great app, scientifically backed and everything, pleasant to use - great design. I use it mainly for sleep but started to work with it recently also ot it does what it claims. Worth subscribing.
