    Absolutely fantastic experience

    Absolutely fantastic experience. Car was delivered on time and it is just the most beautiful car ever. The staff are just an absolute credit to this company.     Would leave 0 stars if possible

    We've had nothing but hassle from start to finish with Elmo. My wife and I subscribed to a Renault Zoe (WP70CKK) at the start of December. To begin with the vehicle didn't turn up on the first day. No one from Elmo contacted us. We had to call Elmo numerous times on the day until eventually someone called us back in the evening to say the car wasn't coming until the next day. My wife ended up having to take two days off. Then in February the car was due a service. No one came to collect the car as agreed. Again we had to chase Elmo to find out what was happening. In the end we decided to end the agreement. Now Elmo were supposed to collect the car today. Yet again no one turned up and my wife had to keep calling Elmo to find out what was happening, only to be told at 17:20 that the car wouldn't be collected today. We went with Elmo because we wanted hassle free motoring, but it's been nothing but stress. Paying £119 to have the car collected and no one turning up or telling us what's happening is unacceptable. Now we're stuck with a car we don't want and have to take another day off to have the car collected. I understand that things sometimes go wrong but Elmo's lack of communication or attempts to resolve issues is really poor.

    Poor customer care and service

    We had 2 cars from elmo and had had multiple issues with the cars and customer service. We received 1 car with a broken visor mirror and we're simply asked to 'tape it' as fixing it would mean that we would be without a car despite paying a significant amount to elmo for the vehicle. For another car, we unfortunately had a windscreen chip in early December 2022 and were shocked to find out this was NOT covered in the insurance. It then took Elmo and their partners over 2 months to arrange to fix the windscreen. I was stuck with a car that was bordering on being road worthy and elmo continued to drag their heels in and failed to respond to my multple email and phone calls to fix it. I was left paying for a car during this period that I was afraid to drive because of the issues with the windscreen and elmo continued to ignore me. Elmo didn't seem to care much about it so I quickly decided to end all business with them and use a different provider. Very disappointed and have told others to AVOID THEM.

    We are so sorry the broken visor mirror was not picked up prior to your delivery, this has been raised internally with the image you kindly provided at the time. Please note, that our team contacted you directly to advise that we have logged the damage and also provided a way to book a repair to your convenience through our Fleet Assist link. You made us aware that due to the inconvenience of having to book the vehicle in you were happy to keep the vehicle and not proceed with the repair.

    We can see that our Technical Support team were assisting you with rectifying the chip in the windscreen. I cannot see that we have failed to respond to any correspondence received from you. Our team forwarded on your replacement windscreen request to All Screens, they also confirmed they made contact with you to organise a booking but sadly did not receive a response.

    A replacement windscreen was fitted at your address and calibration organised to take place at the Liverpool branch. We note you raised your concerns in an internal complaint and we took the time to respond, offering an alternative possibility of organising recover of the vehicle into one of our vehicle prep centres and carrying out the calibration of the windscreen ourselves for you. Sadly, we did not receive a response to this email.

    We will always do our best to ensure the repairs of a vehicle issue are made as easy as possible for the customer and we do have a process in place for All Screens to assist when a replacement windscreen is required.

    We are so sorry for any inconvenience caused and while we completely understand your frustration with the time this took to resolve, we must also acknowledge that our dedicated Technical Support team handled the vehicle issue with care and worked to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

    Absolutely terrible customer service

    Absolutely terrible customer service, contradict on charges, delays galore!

    First few 5 star reviews are from their own staff members!!! lol

    - Car delivery delay - Driver shows up at about 11pm when he was supposed to come by 5pm. + Car swap - Delayed car for over 2 weeks!

    - DAMAGED CAR - Elmo gave me a damaged car, charger flap broken, SOS light on, Car doesn't charge above 80% - They expect me to resolve their broken car issues with their nominated garage which is 30miles away from me

    - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - On multiple occasions staff members promise to call back but ALWAYS fail to do so.

    - Excess mileage charge - Staff have emailed me to say excess mileage is at 12p per mile. Upon returning the car, they charge at £1~ per mile approx.

    Overall, i do NOT recommend Elmo at all!

    Absolute scam company with no customer support at all

    Currently having to raise this to Financial ombudsman as Elmo are trying to put their customers out of pocket by charging excessive amounts and not sticking to what they initially advise on cost!

    I don't have option for 0 stars, i wouldn't even give them 1 star.

    Initially, you try to give them the benefit of the doubt but they take advantage of this in multiple ways!

    Four cars with Elmo. Going strong!

    Paua has been an Elmo customer for several years now. As a business we have had a number of different vehicles that we use for business purposes. A Nissan leaf, a Renault Zoe, a Jaguar iPace and our next car will be a Polestar. Each time we get quality service, great data and a friendly team.

    Friendly personalised service

    It has been some time since my experience with elmo, but for the most part it was positive. I have tried a few providers and they haven't come close service wise. I had so many issues with my BP pulse membership and Kayla was excellent in making sure the issue was resolved by providing me with a temporary card number and reporting the constant issues with my local unit. I see now that they have removed BP Pulse and have a new card for charging. This might be enough for me to give them another go.

    Pros and cons…

    Pros:
    Elmo are pretty good to deal with (though a lot slower now than they were 6 months ago).
    Car was fairly new, clean, good condition.
    Everything including London congestion charge is included, as promised.
    Cons-
    London ‘surcharge’ is annoying.
    No manual, no spare key, no ownership documents (think ‘hire car’).
    Complex and ugly tracking device in windscreen - they know where you are, when you drive, how fast you go, when you exceed the speed limit etc.
    Delivery and collection procedure requires you to be home all day - no time slots.
    Quite expensive (but that’s electric cars I guess).

    We are a subscription company which does mean you won't receive a spare key or ownership document as the lead driver will not be the owner of the vehicle.

    Our telematics system is used to track the mileage and other driving events. Don't worry though - this isn't Big Brother, we aren't watching you and the system is only on when triggered by the vehicle.

    When a delivery driver deserves their own 5-stars

    I have already left a review for Elmo and their excellent customer services team for their excellent pre-delivery work (which was a 5-star review) but I have decided their delivery driver deserves his own 5-star review!

    I had my new car delivered by Stephen and he was with me for around 25 mins and every moment was a pleasure.

    Stephen was friendly, warm, and genuine. He obviously took great care in making sure the delivery experience was top-class. I could see he loved his job and his enthusiasm was definitely welcome.

    The car was late, through no fault of Elmo or the driver, but Stephen seemed genuinely upset that this might have affected my day and my experience. It didn't but I was grateful for his concern and the unrequired apology.

    When he left I was happy the car had arrived in a clean condition, I likened the condition to 'like new' and I was left with everything I needed and all the required information to start enjoying the car immediately.

    Thank you Stephen for an outstanding experience and your obvious care and commitment to the customers you assist. I wish there were more than 5 stars available.

    Great customer service!

    Subscribed to a car from elmo. It was so easy!

    Had an issue but it was resolved super quick by Louis. Louis is an asset to elmo and was extremely caring towards me and my situation.

    The car arrived pristine and I would certainly recommend these over a long term lease!

    Elmo winter lease

    We wanted a car for about 5 months over the winter period. We considered buying a budget second hand vehicle & looked at renting but Elmo was the perfect solution. It offered a very flexible lease, 30 days at a time with no up front deposit. We got a brand new Fiat e500, economical with cheap running costs, zippy around town & the preheat option in those cold winter mornings was also an excellent feature. Elmo look after servicing, maintenance, insurance etc giving hassle free motoring - it was great to know they have your back. Samantha & Dale from Elmo looked after my account & gave a first class service & answered any queries straight away.I will definitely use Elmo again & have been given a £60 promotion code off next lease if I return. Highly recommended especially if you want to trial a fully electric vehicle before buying or want one for an extended period but less than a year.
