I ordered a dress. When it arrived, it did not look anything like the picture on the website, it was either an AI image or a different dress. Despite the refund policy stating that postage will be covered for a return if the error is theirs, they refused to cover the cost and kept suggesting I keep it and offered me a discount. The dress they sent was very poor quality and the sizing was not accurate. I would definitely not recommend buying from this site.

Misleading "boutique" – dropshipped from overseas with costly returns to China

Do not be fooled by the slick website, emotional marketing tactics, or branding that implies a local boutique experience. Ellie & Sage is an offshore drop-shipping operation.
Despite claims or advertising implying they are a mother-daughter duo running a "closing down sale," this is simply misleading marketing. The items ship directly from overseas, and if you need to return anything, you are forced to send it back to a warehouse in China at your own expense. International tracked shipping to China often costs more than the item itself, making returns virtually impossible or financially pointless.
To make matters worse, orders cannot be cancelled once placed. The product quality does not match the price tag or the online photos. Save your time and money—shop with transparent, authentic businesses that maintain honest marketing and reasonable return policies.

If I could give zero stars I would.
Do not buy from this company. The quality of the dresses is appalling with poor stitching, no hemming and ill-fitting. They then refuse to refund the international postage costs despite this being offered on their website. They are not Australian based as the items come from what is no doubt a sweat shop in Hong Kong.

DO NOT buy anything from this shop. They are scammers and their clothes are made in China not Australia. My dress was nothing like the dress I bought and they refused to pay for the return shipping.

Do not buy from this company. They state they are a mum and daughter from Australia who started at the kitchen table but got too big and now are moving so having a sale. The dress on the website looked so pretty and what I received is nothing like the photo on their website, the material is cheap and horrible. I have tried to get a refund but they have offered only 35% but if I want a full refund I have to send it back to their manufacturer in China at a cost of 50 Euros ++.

This company is not what they advertise to be. The clothing is made in China and I was charged international conversion fees on my purchase. I ordered a cotton top and what arrived was 100% polyester. The dress ordered was undersized and poor quality, sewn with cotton that didn’t match the fabric color. Three emails later I finally got my money back. I will never shop with this company again.
