The absolutely worst company you could ever deal with if you were dealing with any overseas companies and they are shipping something to you and they mentioned we're going to use ECU worldwide find another company to deal with they are horrible they hold your product for ransom just like a child until you just keep paying money after money after money fee after fee and rude rude employees. Do not under any circumstances use this company you will regret it and you will be out an extra 5 or $6,000

If I could give it 0 stars I would, Horrible company and avoid using them at all cost. Scammers who scammed me out of $3500 on a lcl small food truck. Could explain the itemized bill and kept sending more invoices without explanation. Wendy is working with my shipment and have yet to speak with her on the phone been calling for weeks!!! This is a nightmare and I don’t see how they are still in business.

Do not use this company, holding my stuff until the could charge storage of 450. Even on Good Friday with no extension of time! I am writing the governor of Florida as well.Scam, scam scam scam! The US custom ports should be ashamed to allow their actions here in American ports. Wasn’t never supposed to go to their storage. So they took it upon themselves to store it with no communication for days. Ransom money in America! Port of Miami! United States should be embarrassed for this to happen! us government need to SHUT THIs down!

DO NOT USE ECU World Wide Shipping. Our family used this company to ship a family heirloom (a special family cabinet that is over 100 years old) from Denmark to Los Angeles. We had the cabinet professionally packed. It was in excellent condition upon packing.

After the package was delivered to our house, we opened the packaging to discover that the cabinet was severely damaged. The decorative glass doors were totally shattered. Some of the wood panels were damaged. One of the support legs was missing, etc.

We contacted ECU immediately to report the damage and were told to take photos and file a claim.

We also hired a furniture restoration company to fix the damage caused by ECU during the shipping of our cabinet. The cabinet was restored and it looks almost as nice as when it was shipped. We just wanted ECU to cover the cost of fixing the damage it caused.

ECU ended up denying our claim and stated that the damage did not happen during the shipping of the cabinet. The company took no responsibility for the damage it caused.

They accepted absolutely no responsibility. They made no effort to help with the restoration effort. It was also very difficult to communicate with ECU. It was impossible to talk to someone on the phone. We were not able to find anyone to help us. We were continuously transferred to someone else. No one wanted to help.

This company's customer service is terrible.

I contacted their main headquarters and no one helped me with this problem: I have been trying to get something shipped to me for almost 2 years. Yes, almost 2 years. First it took long for them to ship it, when they finally said they shipped it, it took a couple of months AFTER it supposedly arrived for me to find out that it never got it here it was stolen in Ghana by their employees.They made up for it by buying my item back and shipping it. It took a couple of months for them to ship it but they did. Then it took 5 months to get here , that's fine it's by sea, it happens. But it supposedly landed here in October, we are now in November. So I've been waiting exactly one month today to
get it. No one is telling me what's going on. I feel scammed. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I'M BEGGING YOU AVOID THE STRESS AND BEING RIPPED OFF!

Sent a bill via email and I asked what it was for. I didn't hear back, so I thought it was spam. A couple months later, I was called by a collections agency. I again followed up with ECU, & asked what the bill was for, but got no response from either one. I searched and searched and found out what I thought the bill was for, and I sent a check. Today, I was called and emailed from a collections agency. I told them the check was deposited over a month ago, and they responded that ECU didn't have record of it. I sent a screenshot from my bank, but who knows where it will go from here. Complete bogus for getting sent to collections with no detail on a bill and no response after I asked what it was for in the first place. -UPDATE: Just got a response that our account has been updated and cleared, so I doubled the initial 1 star review. Still unacceptable to be sent to collections for asking a question.

Anteriormente he realizado importaciones de diferentes partes con diferentes compañías, pero ésta compañía nos cobró una cantidad extremadamente alta según ellos dicen "Cargos de Origen" intenté por diferentes medios comunicarme con Natasha Velez y nunca fué quién para contestarme la llamada y así aclarar las dudas del cargo tan alto, ni mi Broker ni los exportadores podían creer la cantidad que nos cobraron. La única persona que realmente intentó ser intermediario fué Omil Alicea, en el cual nos comunicó con las "oficinas centrales" específicamente Maggie Jiang Ling y Jolyne Ye, al preguntarles que nos provean evidencia de los cargos que nos están realizando, ellos dicen que no saben y que no pueden contestarme esa pregunta. Lamentablemente, si no pago la cantidad, la mercancía comienza a tener cargos, en el cual tuvimos que cubrir los costos que ellos nunca ofrecieron detalles. Si eres comerciante y más aún si eres un pequeño comerciante, NO USES ÉSTA COMPAÑÍA!!!

Used them to send some handicrafts and furniture from Bali to the UK, worth about 1500gbp, before they had delivered it I got a bill for 14 days storage whilst I was out the country for 1400gbp. Utter joke, they can go to hell. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Stay away of using ECU if possible, they simply send invoice to all in-relevant parties!

I had paid the shipment charges since Jan 2022, but they simply invoice to my USA warehouse company and my custom broker clearance company since end of July 2022.

This cause my warehouse and custom clearance account suspended for 45 days for not able to ship my order to customer!
We actually send out all payment proof immediately since day one, but ECU take 2 week to reply us.

This is resolved, but ECU didn't compensate our lost here.
Did you know how many order I lost for the past 45 days?
It affect 20K USD Revenue for this 45 days, and our product expiry is counting down.

Not a big amount to big business like cooperate, but I am just a small family business.
This hurting us badly!

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!! They charged double the quote that was initially provided and this was AFTERRRRRR failing to pick up my cargo on the specified day so that I incurred additional charges (at my own expense) as I had to rent a van and store all my boxes on my own since ECU failed to pick them up on the dates/times specified. Even rescheduling their failed/not attempted pickup attempt was not smooth and had more delays....and AFTER ALL THIS INCONVENIENCE I still had to pay MORE MONEY than initially quoted to get my cargo. RIDICULOUS!!! STAY AWAY!!!

They extort you for money daily people don't have the money to pay for multiple days of storage I don't even know who these people are or how to contact them.

Horrendous customer service, always late on their shipment, they lie about everything. They make up stories like we had to change Vessels & that is why we are late. Cannot be trusted, pay extra money with another shipper & get your goods on time

Incompetent, inept, un professional...I know they are all synonym but I need to type them!

My package is stuck at port waiting for the proper paper work for one of other company EcuWorld stuff in the "conciliated container" with my order.

As this order is time senitive I made alot of calls to find out what is the holdup. Today an employee from EcuWorld told me in no uncertain terms that I should stop calling everyone and that they are handling the problem and it will take the time it will take!

WOW kutos on the customer service.

Why did they not request all the paperwork from each client before putting the packages in the container! KISS

Luckily I did not pay these guys any money but as you can see from their reviews, very bad. I had to chase over and over for clearing quote for my imported vehicle and when it came it was for a different country. Gave up in the end which as it turns out was a great move!!!

This is possibly the most incompetent company in the world. Their tagline is geography simplified. Well, news flash, they may have simplified geography but they've made a total freaking mess of global logistics. They are supposed to be experts in moving freight, but they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They have literally cost my business tens of thousands of dollars. This is not isolated to one event either, because due to the current challenges with global shipping, sadly they are one of the only companies providing a service in the shipping lane I need. So this review is written based on over at least 10 different bookings. I have spent countless hours following up to try to ensure that my shipments follow the very basic SI that I provide, or fixing their mistakes, or requesting repeatedly basic information and documentation required for customs import, and the list goes on and on. I have hundreds and hundreds of emails covering only 10 shipments. You name it, they have failed it. Also, I thought at first this was isolated to a problem with the origin office being amazingly incompetent, but I can now confidently say that it is a systemic problem. I have found massive levels of incompetence throughout the company - and no one seems to know what they are doing, and NO ONE can make it better. In my 30+ years of business, I can't stress this enough, it is a shocking level of incompetence. Their online system that is supposed to streamline things? Broken. Doesn't work. Book through the import desk, get 12 different reference numbers that don't correspond to anything - even they can't tell you how a booking number matches a routing number matches a HBL or MBL. Want a BL or ISF data? Good luck. Want the shipment delivered per SI? Best wishes. Want them to hold your shipment hostage costing 1000's dollars a day because they didn't provide the origin shipper the proper invoice to pay a $100 FOB fee? By all means, book with ECU. Oh, and on this one, you get the bonus of paying $1000's in storage fees at their receiving CFS because they refuse to issue the proper invoice at the origin. Want to pay for door delivery, but not get it? ECU. Want to lose multiple weeks or more while the ECU office decides to arbitrarily ignore your SI and decide instead to change to a different MOT because, well, why not? ECU. Want to lose your freaking mind? ECU. I can go on here, but hopefully you get the point.
