Don't use Ecover dishwasher tabs
Where to begin? I've used ecover products for a long time but a simple complaint about the mess our dishwasher and glasses were left in by a pack of dishwasher tabs has dragged on for over 2 weeks now. Apparently photographs, emails, and an offer to share some of the tabs with them are not sufficient. I am apparently required to ring or let them call me to complete a form....part of which can only be completed by telephone?!!!! What a load of nonsense. Well, I won't be using them again. And I am sharing these concerns with as many consumer groups as possible. Because...my dishwasher and my glasses are still trashed by ECOVER.

One of my worst customer experiences to date. I can strongly recommend avoiding buying direct.
In the past everything went smoothly.
However, they used a different courier this time who lost/ate it/threw it in a hedge.
Any company can encounter this and it happens sometimes.
A good company resolves the issue quickly and efficiently.
Ecover chose..... Slow, inefficient and useless as a standard.
After raising the issue on a Friday after my package failed to appear I heard back on the Tuesday with a genetic oh dear, we'll see what's happened (i'd ordered thing over a week ago at this point).
Time passed
The courier notified.e they were returning the package to the sender. An unsurprising twist, they rarely bother trekking out our way.
Anyway, THE NEXT WEEK, I received a vaguely apologetic email, with no explanation and their hope that a replacement would be sent out at the end of the day - with the same courier
I'd already messaged warning them about this courier round here. I frantically emailed again begging them not to send it with the aforementioned company
My warnings went unheard
I elected to resort to sarcasm at this point
Nobody asked what I wanted and the time between responses was long than an NHS waiting list.
These guys are just the worst

Urgent Escalation Required - Unacceptable delivery service
Dear Ecover Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent order placed through your website and the unacceptable delivery experience I’ve had with your chosen courier, Yodel. Unfortunately, as a customer, I was not given the option to choose a different delivery partner, meaning Ecover bears full responsibility for the service failures I have experienced.
Delivery Failures
For several consecutive days, I have received false “delivery attempted” notifications from Yodel. These updates are clearly inaccurate because:
No one rang my doorbell.
I received no phone call from the driver.
Based on timing and local activity, it appears the driver was not even near my address.
This repeated misrepresentation of delivery attempts suggests either negligence or dishonesty on the part of your courier.
Technical and Customer Service Failures
I also attempted to resolve the issue by redirecting the delivery to an InPost Locker using Yodel’s online system, but the website repeatedly returned errors and failed to process my request.When I tried to contact Yodel for help, I was only met with automated messages. There was no way to speak with a real person, and the limited options offered (such as changing the delivery date or leaving the parcel with a neighbour) did not address the underlying issue.
Impact and Requested Resolution
I have now been waiting several days with no progress, wasting considerable time trying to chase a delivery that never properly reached my address.As Ecover’s chosen delivery partner has failed to perform adequately, I hold Ecover accountable for ensuring swift resolution. I therefore request that you:
Immediately escalate this matter to a senior manager.
Provide a full explanation for the repeated false “attempted delivery” claims.
Guarantee successful delivery within 24 hours.
Offer compensation for the inconvenience and wasted time caused by this experience.
Investigate why your delivery and support systems (both with Yodel and your own escalation channels) are not functioning effectively.
This experience has significantly damaged my confidence in ordering directly from Ecover. I expect a prompt and comprehensive response from someone with the authority to resolve this issue and ensure it does not happen again.

Ecover Dishwashing Liquid - Disappointing for Sensitive Skin
Despite being marketed as eco-friendly, Ecover's dishwashing liquid has caused severe skin irritation and cuts for my husband. We've used other brands without issues, but Ecover falls short. Customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. Would not recommend for sensitive skin.
Customer service just asked us to wash hand carefully and properly rinse it.
Appalling non existent customer service
Attracted by good “Green November” deals, I ordered over £70 worth of products on 19 Nov 2025. Delayed dispatch due to “warehouse move” which was not well highlighted when ordering. Eventually Dispatch email 16 Dec…Tracking then showed it never moved from 16 Dec. Multiple emails chasing company from 16 Dec to 9 Jan 2026. No reply whatsoever! Called, only to find answer message said they can’t deal with calls as they’re “too busy”. I demanded a refund and heard nothing… so on about 11 Jan raised dispute with my credit card company and today 12Jan they finally emailed and said parcel lost. They just said “sorry we’ve been busy”. In my view that is not good enough. If you put up a website offering a goods you should provide the goods and cooking are if there are any issues… they should not be in business. I was beginning to wonder if they had gone bust! Not only that. I contacted Ecover themselves during this time and they point blank refused to assist, they just redirected me to the fulfilment company(called Big Green Smile) — who, as above, does not answer customer emails or calls. In my view it is not sufficient for Ecover to hide behind another company.. they should have tried to help. As a result I refuse to buy any Ecover products ever again… whether from EcoverDirect or any other outlet. I have just placed an order for different eco cleaning products from a different company which has served me very well in the past. My advice … avoid Ecover and EcoverDirect and Big Green Smile at all costs.
Poor customer service
Great products but terrible customer service. Received my order 19/12/25 and one of the very poorly packed items had leaked. Contacted customer services 20/12/25 and I sent 2 follow ups last one 3 days ago I still haven't had a reply (9/01/26).
Waited almost five weeks for delivery
Waited almost five weeks for delivery. Finally arrived today (15L laundry detergent) in a poor/damaged condition and missing the tap I had ordered.
Courier projected three delivery dates and never turned up until the fourth time, today.
Would never do this again, too much hassle and I now feel somewhat scammed.
Shocking customer service!
If you value customer service, don't bother with this company. I put an order in on the 22nd November for the value of just shot of £92. It wasn't until after checkout that I got a message saying delivery wouldn't be until 11th December. Now, I'm moving house and our last day here is Sunday 14th December. But, I thought as long as ut was delivered by the 11th it would be fine. At the start of this week there has still been no communication regarding delivery, so I emailed them through their site. After a day, they emailed back saying I needed to email another company about the delivery, which I did immediately, but I'm yet to receive a response! I tried calling them this afternoon, to get an automated message saying that they weren't answering calls as they are to busy! I am assuming my order will be delivered after I have moved out, but really unsure if I'll get a refund, as I cant get through to anybody. I'm happy for the order to be redirected, but again, unless I can speak to someone, this won't happen. It's absolutely appalling customer service!!!
Ignored by customer services
Order placed 6 Nov, finally arrived 24 Nov and I've been sent the wrong item.
I received a 15L laundry liquid refill, not a 5L Zero laundry liquid, and I can't use it as my skin doesn't tolerate perfumes.
I've emailed customer services twice and been completely ignored.
Products are great usually but so unimpressed this time. I know they have been moving warehouse but to completely ignore a customer when you've sent the wrong item is not acceptable.
Poor customer service.
Waiting 10 days and counting for a dispatch of some dishwasher tablets. I have contacted customer services 3 times with no reply.
Just let me know if there is a problem with stock or delivery, it’s better than completely being in the dark. Will not be ordering directly again!!! Frustrated to say the least.

Dreadful decision by Ecover
I have been buying the 5 litre refills of washing up liquid and toilet cleaner since 2018 and loved the fact that they had a lip on the container to make it easy to refill the smaller handsized ones.
Unfortunately they have now removed the lips and it is impossible to fill the angled neck 750ml toilet cleaner bottle by pouring from the 5 litre container without pouring most of it down the side of the 750ml container and wasting a lot of it.
When I questioned why they no longer provided the lips on the 5 litre refill containers they said it was to reduce plastic but I could buy a pump that would squirt 25ml of liquid per push.
This would require at least 30 pumps to fill the 750ml handy sized container that can be kept near the toilet. I believe most of these pumps don't last long so would continually need replacing - more plastic than a lip. So I will give up buying the refill containers and go back to buying the smaller bottles on the shelves of supermarkets, thereby defeating the object of their exercise (if it is true which I don't believe it is).
Any domestic user out there bought these pumps and can compare filling the smaller container with the ease of pouring to the pumping?????
Any one out there can recommend another environmentaly friendly toilet cleaner and washing up liquid?
