Our experience with ECH group was first class from start to finish.
The installers were professional, polite and did a great job.
They took the time to ensure i fully understood the system, how to use the app and answer my questions.
We found communication with the office staff very good and responsive all this whilst being very keen and competitively priced.
I wouldnt think twice about recomeding them, in fact i have alresdy passed their details to a few family friends and collegues.

Excellent service as usual from ech.
These guys have now fitted systems on 4 of our properties with no problems and good aftercare.
The installers have always been polite and courteous and left the job tidy.
Highly recommend local company.

Price Baiting-they waste your time with an unrealistic price.

And the responses to the trust pilot reviews… wow! I popped in here to see if I should continue with ECH, then saw the tone they use in their responses to negative reviews… I’ll take my business elsewhere I think.

Reason for a one star is the complete lack of communication from ECH. Several weeks after the installation was complete and paid in full, I am still waiting the hand-over pack and relevant Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) certificate's. They do not answer mails or phone calls or respond to voice mails.
Product is great and both the electrician and panel fitters did the work on time, polite and tidy. I hate to think if something goes wrong!
Therefore I do not recommend going with ECH.

Very disappointed. I was recommended this company by someone on my local facebook group. I was keen to use a company that was local, well established, MCS registered and competitively priced and ECH ticked all my boxes. The sales man was lovely and the engineer who fitted the battery and inverter was very professional. Unfortunately the panel installation team rushed the job leaving 10 tears in my roof felt which was totally gutting as I had literally had a whole new roof installed only 4 years ago. I only found out about the tears as I asked my partner to go up into our loft to check the workmanship before I signed off on the paperwork and he showed them to the installer who did not apologise just started texting on his phone but did not explain he was informing the company. I have not had an apology from the company either When I informed them they said, 'thank you for your email I am fully aware of the situation as xxxx called into the office whilst on site , he is fully trained to repair the damage , the installation team are ordering the goods now'. I was stunned that they did not even apologise!
I had to chase them to do the repairs which they finally did 10 days later after me saying I would be coming into the office. I literally would have sat there until they had done the repair because by this time I was really, really mad especially as it had been raining on several occassions.
I was just so happy when I read all the nice reviews and thought I was going with a good trustworthy company. Perhaps I have just been very unlucky but I have not had the personal customer experience I had expected and at no stage have I ever read about installer causing multiple tears to the roof felt. I 100% would not have proceeded with solar panels if I had known this was an issue and now that I have been googling it, it always states that this is caused by rushed and poor workmanship. There really is no other excuse. I wasn't happy with the fact that the installers threw excess fittings from the roof directly onto my new driveway either....just another sign that they were rushing the job and not taking due care.

Where do I start. I've given ECH 4 stars.
They are very competitively priced and to be honest on the whole very responsive to quieries. Several appointments were rescheduled for this and that which was a bit frustrating. The installation did drag on and the cable routing initially was not acceptable. This was sorted out without fuss. I was more than a little bit concerned that the roof guy was working with only a ladder and not even a second person steadying it. The prominent point of contact was Beth and she seems to on the ball, well done Beth you definitely made the evolution smoother. All relevant paperwork was supplied in agreed timescales.

All in all its all working fine and making a massive dent in the energy bill. ECH beat the nearest local companies (the ones that could be bothered replying) by a decent margin. Could it have been a 5 star review, yeah communicate more effectively and just understand most of your customers work too and cant just shift their days off easily. A bit more regard to health and safety on the roofing guys wouldn't go amiss either.

Started as a recommendation from a friend, initial contact, site survey and quote all completed withing a week. I then had a complication from the DNO (completely outside of ECH control) however despite trying to break backs the team at ECH persisted to to accept the challenge, and retrieve documents required of particular note Beth!

Not a minutes hesitation to recommend this company on support, service, products and price point!

ECH fitted 22 panels, a gateway and an 18kwh Sigenergy battery to our house last week. We're over the moon with the system. We've not used any electricity from the grid since, and we've also been able to charge the 18kwh battery on our PHEV purely from solar. The installation team were great, completing the install in one day, and explaining everything to us. The survey and office team were also a pleasure to work with and very helpful. I've already recommended them to a couple of colleagues. Lastly, we spent an age comparing the various quotes, systems etc, and ECH were more than competitive.

Great experience. Good installation, better than i hoped for.

We went with this company as they seemed to have good reviews but this has not been our experience so far at all. We are currently 16 days past our original installation date and our solar panels are still sat on a pallet in our front garden.
Warning signs started when someone was meant to come by to look at our house, measure and provide quotes. They didn’t turn up. We booked another appointment for the following week but the person didn’t turn up again. After us reaching out to the company and being told multiple times he was on his way, he turned up 4 hours late, was here for 5 minutes then left.
The day before installation day, the panels were delivered and they were not the panels we ordered. Our panels were apparently out of stock so they sent these instead but didn’t bother to inform us of this.
On installation day the electricians turned up, started working and then told us the battery was faulty and dead and ECH would have to order a new one. The roofer also never arrived that day either. The roofer was then rebooked in for Friday but randomly turned up on Thursday, started to work then left after 30 minutes as the scaffolding company hadn’t left him a rope! I was told he would be back the next day or Saturday, once the rope had been delivered. Neither of these things happened. The following Wednesday, 2 guys turned up from ECH, not to do any work but to check we had all the right equipment. Guess what…..we didn’t. They needed to order more parts. We also mentioned about the missing rope and they said that a rope wasn’t even needed!
An electrician has since been back and got the battery working so at least that is done but aesthetically the work is poor.
On Tuesday we received an email saying the roofer was due that day but wouldn’t make it due to being injured but they had rebooked it for Friday. Well today is Friday, it’s nearly 2pm and no one has arrived again!
The communication had been absolutely awful and we have had to chase the company every step of the way.
We are now sat here at the end of another week, no closer to knowing when this is actually going to get completed as they haven’t replied to our emails.

Carl and his team did what they said they would do. Very polite and efficient. 14 panels, ev charger and a 10 kwh battery. Tim set up the apps for us. Thankyou. I would reccommend ECH to our friends.

After seeing an advert, I contacted the company for a quote. The quote came through at a price quite different from the advert for what appeared to be the same, or a very similar, system.

I emailed to query this and was asked to send a copy of the advert. I was then told that prices had gone up twice since the advert and that it was an old advert.

This was on 14th September (today) I had taken a screenshot of the advert on 4th September. The advert is also still currently being run across Facebook, Instagram and Threads, and appears to have been running since 24th August. (Easy to find this via an ad search)

So, I guess I won't continue with a company that is misleading before you even buy

I've found dealing with ECH very easy.
Great price- much better than the other quotes I was given.
Team seem really nice and friendly.
The site visit was very informative, installation team worked so hard all day of fitting and the electrician was also very nice and hard-working. . System is working a treat! I live looking at the app and knowing that I'm not pulling anything from the grid!
I've recommended them to my parents and brother too.

We sought a quote as our neighbour had an installation from ECH. From requesting the quote, discussing panel & battery requirements to installation, the company were excellent to deal with. They know their stuff & are highly competitively priced as well as providing the latest available products. Well recommended.

The quote was competitive and my queries were answered with no problems. There was only a short lead time to the installation, much shorter than some companies were quoting, so I've been able to take advantage of the late summer sunshine.
The complete system (11 panels, a 6kW inverter, and 3 x 5.12kW batteries) was installed quickly and neatly. I was surprised at how fast everything was fitted, the guys were excellent and gave me no concerns
It's been running for just over a week and seems to be working perfectly.
I'm just waiting for the paperwork so I can get the export tariff sorted and then I'll get paid for all the electricity that's going to the grid for free!

Really appreciate ECH Group Ltd, they have been really helpful from the initial phone call, answering all our questions, to the installation, such a professional company, would highly recommend them, and we are so happy with the service

I recently had a complete solar energy system installed by ECH Group, including solar panels, batteries, and an inverter.

The process started with a very positive experience working with Carl, who was responsive, knowledgeable, and meticulous throughout. He provided a detailed breakdown of the available options, including specifications and pricing, which made it easy to compare solutions and make an informed decision.

During the installation, there were a couple of unexpected issues and communication challenges that created some frustrations. However, members of the ECH team took ownership of resolving the situation.

I found the team to be humble, although they need to work on better and timely communications, and better planning.

DNO approval process, Export MPAN and handover documents were smooth.

Overall, while the installation wasn't entirely without challenges, however ECH Group's dedication and their determination to put things right left a good impression.
