I've been following Doctor Shana on IG for some time and she posts the most interesting and engaging sex education related content. Even things that don't impact me at all or that I wouldn't be personally interested in are presented in a way that's fun to read about.

Dr. Zhana has created a safe and welcoming space for all in her Uncensored conversations! Talking about sex can often still be taboo and uncomfortable for some of my close friends and even my therapist, so I feel really lucky to have found a space that attracts curious, likeminded, and non-judgemental people from diverse backgrounds. Hearing others talk about their personal experiences and perspectives about sex and relationships has made me feel less alone in my desire to have a non-conventional romantic relationship. I appreciate that there is room for everyone to share their thoughts, but there is no pressure to talk.
Continuing my sexual education is really important to me so I LOVE that Dr. Zhana provides so much scientific research and field studies. I’m really looking forward to future Uncensored conversations!

I know dr. Zhana from instagram where I've been following her for around two years. I have also read a couple of her scientific papers, and took part to the squirting survay last year. Uncensored is a new and whole different experience with Zhana. She is hosting online sex talks via zoom for a month now, and as far as I know this is a project that will last until June 2021 for sure!!

As a Balcan living in a country with non sex ex and dealing with a society filled with feelings of shame when it comes to sex and pleasure, I was thrilled when I discovered I could attend these meetings. People are paying what they can (the tickets start for 1 dollars + fee, which is around 1,80 euro - for me) which is also amazing. Uncensored is nothing like a school course as we know it but exactly what our society needs for educational courses to be. Zhana is an amazing host, respectful, really quick and smart when dealing with so many different people, who are stranger to her and one another.

For me these meeting feel as a group therapy and a lesson at the same time. I find myself feeling connected to people living so far away and these really amazes me. I think that dr. Zhana succefully created a safe space for different individuals, and a sex space of revolution, connection, solidarity. For me, this is exactly what I needed this long and lonely year.

I recently attended an Uncensored conversation, and it felt like a genuinely collaborative space with Dr. Zhana expertly guiding the group by leaning into her deep knowledge base, personal experience, and keen facilitation skills. The Uncensored topic and discussion points were gleaned from stories and surveys Dr. Zhana gathered from her wide audience and thoughtfully curated and prepared. Utilizing the chatroom while concurrently "passing the mic" for audience participation felt like a great balance and enabled us to cover a lot of ground. It is difficult to speak about taboo topics for logistical and emotional reasons, especially when those areas pose personal challenges. Yet, when I left the Uncensored session, I felt less alone and more clearheaded. Now I know a place to go while mulling over similar issues or even just toying with a new curiosity. I'm grateful for the space and Dr. Zhana's efforts.

I had a really great experience taking a Human Sexuality course with Dr. Zhana at NYU. She is truly inspiring, and her lectures are really insightful! The classes are fun, informative, and very engaging. Dr. Zhana facilitates a positive learning environment that makes me comfortable to share my thoughts and feelings. She is really understanding and brilliant! I can definitely say that after taking this class, my attitudes and behaviors towards sexuality and even my personal experiences became more positive. It was a big privilege to have such a knowledgeable and amazing professor teach this course!

My husband and I grew up in very religious Mormon households, and he grew up feeling a lot of shame about his sexuality and desires for many sexual partners, often feeling like there's something wrong with him. Last night's uncensored talk gave him an actual visual, and reminded him that there are other people doing open relationships to varying degrees out there, and that it's not just him who isn't content having sex with just one person for the rest of his life.
