PLEASE DON’T GO LET YOURSELF IN HIS HANDS. Dr ZAFER DESTROYED MY BODY

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the outcome of the surgery I underwent through your facility in Istanbul on 31/10/24.
After sharing photos and discussing my concerns for almost six months with you, you have reported the surgeon has seen the photos and concluded that I indicated for a mini tummy tuck and liposuction from the inner thighs.
I arrived at the hospital the day before the surgery, but Mr. Zafer did not see me until the following morning, just before the scheduled surgery. At that point, he told me that I don't need the surgery that I was there for and was previously agreed upon before I traveled to Turkey.
He proposed a different procedure and gave me only 30 minutes to decide. Feeling pressured and unprepared, I reluctantly agreed. The result has been a large, unnecessary tummy tuck with a lengthy incision extending across my abdomen and around to my hips.
Additionally, there is now a noticeable swelling on my left hip just above the incision that appears through my clothing. I have never looked so bad. I feel like my body has been destroyed. This is clearly evident when comparing the pre and post surgery photos. It hugely affects my appearance and confidence.
I have since consulted with a plastic surgeon here in UK and he was extremely puzzled by the size of the incision. I have also since checked Dr Zafer's website and was horrified that he is actually specialised in breast surgery.
Furthermore, about a month ago, during a video call with Mr. Zafer, he admitted that if the issue doesn't correct, it would be the result of "poor planning" (his words) on his part.
It has now been four months since the surgery, and my condition remains unsatisfactory, requiring further medical intervention. This outcome has caused immense distress, and I am seeking compensation for the inadequate service and the need for corrective
I been asking for a compensation to repair my body and they wanted me to go back to the to the same Dr.. which of course I will not do it, I have to be crazy to go back to the same surgeon.
I can prove pictures before and after surgery, I can t expose myself confidently
... even now after 8 months my issue is still there

Zafer is a wonderful surgeon. Extremely meticulous in his pre surgical preparation to ensure you get the best possible results. My MMO results are phenomenal. He is caring after surgery and the aftercare provided by the Medaway clinic was superb. Would highly recommend.

From start to finish, Dr Zafer, his right hand woman (surgical assistant Seher) and his team gave exemplary service and care.
Dr Zafer is extremely knowledgeable, transparent but also had a great bedside manner. He does not sugar coat or allow you to have unrealistic expectations but equally works with you to ensure your results are what you want.
The day of surgery he was meticulous with drawing me up. He did not rush the process and talked me through everything. Post surgery he visited me when I woke up and gave me an update on my surgery. The next day he visited me first thing as well. Even once I’d moved to the hotel his team checked on me daily. The level of genuinely care shown was beyond my expectations.
The day before I left I visited dr Zafer and he gave clear instructions on what to expect and what I needed to do for the best long term outcome.
I’ve been home 6 weeks and in that time I’ve had a video call with him and spoken to his assistant 1-2 times a week. This has far surpassed my expectations. I’d certainly use him for all of surgery going forward and have recommended him to many friends.

I was very happy with the care, attention to detail and the results of my procedure. The aftercare was also exceptional.

I am currently 12 weeks 5 days post op tummy tuck, liposuction and muscle repair.
I have had a brilliant experience with medway. First day of arrival me, fiancé and my little boy was taken straight to the hospital for blood work, ECG and had a questionnaire about my health. The nurses were all very nice and polite very welcoming too. After this we was collected from the hospital and taken back to the hotel where was was staying.
The day after I was told we was going to be collected at 12:30pm but shortly after was asked if they can collect us at 12pm which i agreed as we was all ready to go. We got to the hospital and because the time had changed to be pick up my room wasn't ready but it was absolutely fine and I understood.
Shortly after been shown my room I was asked to get changed into the hospital gown which I did and just waited for my surgeon Dr.Zafer (which who i wanted from the start so was extremely happy). All of the nurses were all very nice, polite, loved my son who was 15 months old at the time when we went.
Dr.Zafer came to talk and draw on me ready for surgery, and asked how I was feeling, which i was scared, nervous but couldnt wait for my results. He was very patient knowing I had brought my son with me, his english is brilliant and easy to understand and very friendly. He said I was a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck as I had lost 100lbs after my pregnancy and had loose skin around my front belly and sides.
After this he said he will see me in surgery. I got told to go through consent forms and sign every page, I did this and then not long after I was collected for my surgery I was really emotional as I don't like going under anesthesia. I said bye to my fiance and my son and told them I loved them. As they was rolling me down to surgery both nurses reassured me and held my hand all the way down. Which made me feel safe. As I was in the operating theater no one spoke English. I got told to lay down so I did. Then back up a few times. One of them in surgery grabbed my arms and pushed it onto the side of the bed. Before I knew it I was asleep.
After surgery I was out of it for 2 hours, I was freezing they gave me heated blankets and my fiance gave me our sons blanket to keep warm. As I was shivering it was hurting my belly. I couldn't breathe properly so I had a oxygen mask on to help, but that made me feel very nauseas so I took it off.
After I had come around properly Dr Zafer came around to see how I was and gave me a lung test to keep doing to make sure my lungs are still working. I really struggled to do this as I was in a lot of pain. The second time he came around I tried to do it and I said it's too painful, he said I don't care if your in pain you need to do this. Which gave me the motivation to do it and I was able to rise all the balls.
I had my catheter out after this and tried my first walk, very scary. One of the nurses put my hair up for me which was very helpful. Felt like there was too many nurses to get me out of bed so in the end I got my fiance to help me and I did a big walk. I did serval big walks while I was in the hospital.
We went back to the hotel i was still needed help so my fiance helped a lot as well as looking after our son. I had serval visits from the nurse at the hospital. She also took my drains out in the hotel. She was fantastic so gentle and it didn't hurt having them removed. She also helped with the chunk of skin missing on my back which she put something on there to help as everytime I walked as my garment was stuck to the skin it kept been pulled off which hurt. But she helped me so much.
The day before i flew home i had a appointment to see Dr Zafer for a check up. He checked everything was okay he took the tape off and put fresh on. He said to keep an eye on my swelling as all my lower belly and top of my pubic area had swollen a lot.
When I was 2 weeks post op I had a red area under my incision on top of my pubic area. I was told to remove the tape 2 weeks after surgery. So I did this. Later on that night I had just bathed my son put him in bed, I came into my room and on the right side of my leg was sticky, and it smelt foul. I started to take my shorts off and underwear and noticed I was leaking oozing puss from my incision. I was so scared and didn't feel right. I managed to fill a lot of gauzes up. I let Dr Zafers secretary know and she told him.
I went to the walk in center and see if they could help me as everytime I moved in leaked alot and through my clothes. While I was waiting to be seen Dr Zafer called me and spoke with me with what was happening. He offered for me to come back and he will sort it and it will be a 3 day stay. I did let him know I want to see what the NHS can do here if anything first, and then I will let them know.
The Dr I saw at the walk in center refered me straight to the hospital they said I have a abscess and it needed a cut and drain. Within a few days I had emergency surgery in the UK.

I booked in to have a breast uplift with implants and 360 lipo. Unlike other surgeons, Dr Zafer told me I didn’t need implants and that I would only need an uplift. I was pretty amazed with the results, as it looked like I actually had implants and also how lifted they were! They’ve kept in touch with me since I returned home 12 weeks ago and reassured me throughout the healing process.
