I have only been with DBO Academy for roughly a month... and I have seen steady results from day one. the website is easy to navigate, there is never any question on what i should be practicing the placement quiz put me exactly where I needed to be and With a great community of Drummers you can turn to to share frustrations and struggles with different perspective and support is only a keystroke away, joining the wait list was probably the best drumming decision I've made, second only to finally deciding to buy my Drum kit and get back to playing again!!!

This website was extremely useful!! I was only able to use it for a month but I learned a lot during that time! It provides you with everything you need to keep building your skills and has a very dense package of lessons per skill level. The website is very easy to use and allows for practice tracking and recording practice info so you don't get lost with what to practice next. It's great for anyone who's stuck or just wants something new to learn! After the survey, I was put into a category where the lessons would challenge me. I recommend using this for as long as you can to get the full experience!

This is hands down the best online drums course i've seen.

Not only the lessons are really good and didactic, the teacher is super talented and quickly help us with any doubt we might have. The methodology used is on point for everyone who wants to play the drums, from begginers (like me) to professionals!

And also, the quality of the videos are great and the website is super easy to use!

This course is quickly making me feel waaaaay more comfortable around my kit and more confident as a drummer. The layout of the website and lessons are very user friendly and making the boring stuff (rudiments, slow tempo learning, etc.) more fun.

DBO rocks! Gabe is fantastic and the lessons are always on point.. not to mention the beats are insane! Think of it like this.. DBO is Scorpion and you, you are some "I think I'm good drummer".. the lesson starts and all you hear is "Get Over Here... followed by Fatality"! Gabe (in this post aka Scorpion).. kills it every time!

For the beginner to the advanced player, Each step builds upon the next step, don’t deviate from the lessons and make sure you have them down before moving on. Thanks Gabe (my beautiful friend) I’m definitely making great progress because of DBO Academy. Keep doing what you do man, I was about to give up, you convinced me that it will come sometimes fast other times slow. But it will come if you stick with it and Dedicate the time needed.

It just works the more confidence you get the more you practice the more you practice the better and faster you progress. If your serious about learning the drums, or want to bring your drumming to the next level, why wouldn’t you give this a try? Man I’m glad I did. The only thing with me is I’m 56 and wish I would have started a long time ago.

But I started and I’m playing and that’s good enough for me.

I really love this because of the stage system like when I am stage 4 I can not go to watch any video in stage 5.

Gabe has helped me a lot. I'm a new drummer and this program has helped me develop my basic skills and knowledge. I look forward to seeing how I develop over the next few months.

DBO academy was the best drum school that I have ever learned from. I was one of the best decisions that I have ever taken related to drums.

The content is very in depth and broke down so much that when starting from ground zero it turns so
Something so complex so simple and for some people who get drums and don’t have a scooby doo of what’s going on it’s a super structuring tool.
I am not nearly as good as I’d like to be, but I’m fairly advanced and there was sticking, rudimentary exercises that was beginner level I wasn’t 100% with so it helped me with my “weak” hand.

When you fire a question, concern or comment directly to Gabe, he usually responds back almost immediately! The program and the legend himself are as solid as I think you’ll find for online school for drums/percussion.

This is a great online drumming community. Gabe does a great job in his video lessons and is quite responsive to people's posts or student review videos. It's been a wonderful experience so far!

This is the best site/course to learn drums.
the way of the courses arrangement and the exercise are fit exactly to my level and challenge me exactly where i need to be improve

My time with DBO has been great. I do watch all of the videos and lessons which have been extremely helpful. My only downfall, is just not getting on and practicing enough. I'll go a week (or more here lately) without sitting down at the kit or practice pad. By the time I do get to it, there have been several videos and I don't know where to pickup from. It's great seeing everyone support each other in the DBO community. Hopefully one of these days I'll actually post a video for a student review. I'd say 85-90% of what I've learned on the drums is from all of your past Youtube videos and DBO. The other 10-15% is just from trying to play along to songs. Thanks for all of the lessons Gabe!

Its been a month so far at DBO academy and my friends in jam session had told I have improve so much. My tempo its getting better and I seen the difference in my playing. Its a great place to start your drum journey.

DBO has been a fantastic experience. As a new member, the site is very well organized and is extremely easy to navigate. The sessions are very good, Gabe goes through the topic of the day and provides examples on how to play (or muscle build (-: ) the exercise. Gabe and the community are very good about responding to questions and comments. The curriculum flows very well. I entered at level 2 which was the right determination by the system, although I went back to 1 in between to get some more training. In addition to the more structured sessions Gabe has many 'one-off' lessons or mini-courses on various subjects. Full disclosure, I am a member of another drumming site but Gabe's site beats (pun intended!) the other. Simplicity, to the point and structure are the differentiating factors. For anyone considering a drumming online solution, this DBO is the best I've found. Only comment to add would be around songs. Not sure if I missed it or this or maybe could be looked at, would be great to have the ability to go through a song database with notation and explanation.

Being part of DBO has given me structure to my drumming journey and I'm making great progress, the lessons are so helpful, Gabe is a fantastic tutor and gives you all the right guidance.

It’s been a great experience thus far. Your lessons are very easy to follow and you are a great teacher. In three months I completed the beginner phase and I am on the Coordination Conquest. I recently retired so I have had time to practice for 1 to 2 hours a day.
I really enjoy DBO Academy.
