If you want a professional, get Drain Detectives in
I have used Drain Detectives twice and on both occasions they have been fantastic. They show up promptly, do a great job and don't overcharge. There are a lot of cowboys out there, as I have learnt to my cost (one company caused £7000 damage by not knowing what they were doing), so now I would never use anyone other than Drain Detectives. And they are always so polite and helpful. True professionals. And they didn't even ask me to post a review - they don't need to!

Brilliant - I will use them again
Where do I start? Efficient, communicative, courteous, effective.
They were clear upfront about pricing, they turned up when they said they would. They contacted people about access(which wasn't trivial). They fixed my issues, which I am over the moon about.
Finding a Drainage specialist or a plumber, I am comfortable with, is challenging. These guys were so good - I will use them again.

Very efficient company
Very efficient company, professional and friendly. All staff seem very knowledgeable.
Darren, visited my property on time and throughout the time he was there was helpful and communicative.
The survey was with me the very next day, I would recommend as was well priced and job was left clean and tidy.

Reliable, competent and honest
After one contractor I had out Drain Detective came as a huge relief. I now realise I had been spun a line by the first contractor who said my roof drainage outlet needed to be flushed out but it turned out there was no problem with it and Drain Detective sorted everything out for me very quickly. The person who came was also very pleasant to deal with.
I was able to make an appointment for someone to come the same day I called, and they came when they said they would.

Went way beyond the extra mile
Turned up in less then as hour. Cleared the blocked sewer pipe very quickly. Showed me every step of the way what was happening. Then spent some time giving me advice on how to avoid the same problem, and even located for me the then hidden and covered over inspection covers to allow me to check for build up on that corner in the future. He could not have been more helpful. A class act.

I had 3 separate contractors come to my home to look at my serious issue of a severely backed up manhole overflowing into my garden. All gave different diagnosis's and charged me for their time whilst not doing anything to fix my issue. Chris arrived on time, was honest, trustworthy and was the only person who could fix my issue - money well spent. Would absolutely recommend - he saved the day!

The Engineer arrived within the time slot given and cleared the blockage. I need to wait until we have some heavy rain to be sure all is ok. However I am confident all will be well

Avoid
Sent an abandoned survey call out charge despite the fact the engineer did not even enter the property. There are dozens of drain survey companies out there, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Dear Ryan, Thank you for your feedback. We do ask our customers if there is a manhole on site before attending to carry out a cctv drain survey. We were told there was a manhole on site. If we attend and there is no manhole on site, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £50 plus vat as stated in our confirmation emails. Our engineer was on site for up to an hour looking for access to the drains, but none was available. I am sorry we were unable to help you on this occasion.
