Sarah & Annie excellent trainers, understand dogs so well.

Ghillie our lab has amazing fun at socials and as a reactive dog it teaches him great skills around other dogs .. would recommend this to all and Dorset dog training in general ..

Sarah is excellent at what she does , all breeds of dog are trainable with Sarah, she just knows her stuff, I recommend her to everyone who what’s some sort of dog training

The training hasn’t started yet but I found the booking system very informative and easy to use.

After getting my 3 year old dog 5 months ago I took my dog for a reactivity and lead pulling assessment. Wish I had done it sooner, it’s earlier days and I have a lot to learn but the difference already is amazing. We are starting to enjoy our walks already, and looking forward to our future!

My Scottish Terrier puppy and I have just completed our initial puppy obedience course. Over the 5 sessions my pup's confidence has grown - going from refusing to walk on a collar to happily trotting along. We both really enjoyed the classes and the step by step manner in which each instruction was taught. The written PDF after each class was excellent and of great assistance when doing our homework between classes. We also appreciated the opportunity to play with classmates. Having taken other puppies to classes in years gone by, this was something I always wished for but never had. Suffice to say we are signed up for Stage 2 😊

Highly recommend Sarah & Annie at Dorset Dog Training. My dog struggles with excitability / impulsivity around other dogs and the Neutrality courses have been great for us to work on regulating his behaviour. He absolutely loves the social sessions too, learning how to play appropriately with other dogs. Sarah is an expert at interpreting “dog language” (verbal and non-verbal), translating in to basic terminology to help owners have a clear understanding of their dog’s rank, personality and behaviour.

Very well organised and a great time for the dogs to not be too hot and have a great time. Sarah as ever was very helpful. Nice and easy to book also

We urgently needed help with our dog’s aggressive behaviour and Annie came to see us in our home the same day I reached out for help. She was so understanding and calm and practical. I immediately felt reassured. She listened carefully, gave considered opinions and lots of practical tips. Then we went out on a walk with my dog and she showed me how to get control with a slip lead. As if by magic he was walking to heel. It was only yesterday she came. I’ve spent today implementing all her advice and it’s been remarkably calm in our household. I’m feeling so hopeful. It will take some hard work and consistency to build new habits but at least I now know what to do. Thoroughly recommend this service.

Took my dog up to the adult dog socialisation class. He absolutely loved running round with the other dogs. Great to be able to let him off with other dogs in a safe enclosed area. Sarah and Annie on hand too.

We attended our second adult dog social with Dorset Dog Training this week and enjoyed our time immensely! The lovely trainers are full of advice and knowledge - I learned a lot about dog behaviour and it gave me some insights into my own dogs view of his world. The sessions are well managed and I feel more confident in recognising and understanding the interactions we might have when meeting other dogs on our walks or in other social settings.

We started obedience training with Azurite from a very young age — from session 1 and now progressing through session 3. We have three dogs, but she’s the only one we trained properly from a puppy, and the difference is very noticeable.

While the others might wander off and get distracted, Azurite always stays close to us. She’s very well behaved, her recall is strong, and she’s learned a lot.

With our other dogs, ehwn they were puppies we focused mainly on socialisation, but honestly, that alone isn’t enough. Proper training from the start really sets you up for a much easier life with your dog.

Both trainers we’ve worked with, Annie and Sarah, are fantastic and very experienced with dogs. They truly understand dog behaviour and guide you through each step of teaching your puppy new commands. They also explain your dog’s body language and support you individually if your pup is struggling with certain tasks.

Very highly recommended!

Very happy with the instructions from trainer . Learnt actually quite a lot from her with my German Shep and I thought I was quite experienced .
