Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience. I used this telehealth service because I had an infected gum and was trying to get help before it became worse. Instead of providing any proper treatment, I was told to massage it and basically manage it with Panadol and Nurofen.

The doctor said that because it was telehealth, he could not do much unless he could physically see pus coming from my mouth before prescribing amoxicillin. That made no sense to me given I was already explaining the infection, pain and inflammation and was trying to prevent it from getting worse.

It has now been 3 days since the consult and I am worse than I was before. I paid for help and got nothing useful out of it. It honestly feels like unless you are in absolute physical distress, they take your money and tell you to just deal with it yourself.

Very poor service and a complete waste of time and money.

Medication order was not received at…

Medication order was not received at the pharmacy. Spent 1.5 hours and 3 separate calls to get it straightened out. Now a month later I have a new medication and went to the pharmacy to pick it up and guess what? It's not there. So I don't get my medication over the weekend and I have to call and spend several hours, just straighten it out again. I brought this issue up to the doctor at the last visit but she said the only thing I can do is just pay to have another an appointment if I need to talk to her sooner.

Beware- WORST Healthcare Experiences Ever

I waited 2 and a half hours and didn’t even get a real doctor. It was a “health care professional” The person couldn’t even prescribe medicine.

I paid $55 to get told to take Mucinex. He was condescending, mean & had no sympathy.

He flat out told me I didn’t have a sinus infection when I told him I haven’t had smell or taste for 3 weeks, pain & pressure in my sinuses, sinus headache, stopped up nose. Also couldn’t stop blowing my nose & so much mucus I couldn’t breath.

Don’t waste your time or money. There are plenty of other great telemedicine companies.

Had to fight to get the medication that was prescribed! Unacceptable!

I had a visit with a new doctor on Friday to refill a subscription. It took me four days without my needed daily medication, complaints, and chats to finally get my meds. I have been taking the medication for years with no problems. In order for her to fill the subscription, she wanted monthly appointments at $229 a crack AND she would only give me 30 days at a time. I usually get 90 days and enough refills for the year on 1 yearly doctor visit. In addition, she wanted me to stop taking medical marijuana, which is the only thing that helps during the day, without the side effects from the kinds of medications that she would subscribe. Translation: the doctor had very old, antiquated knowledge of the effectiveness of medical marijuana. So, I will never go to that doctor again and I find this service to be no where close to the quality of Teledoc. On the bright side, going without the pill that helps me sleep more than a couple of hours caused me to try melatonin gummies that were delivered by mistake. Wife says I have been sleeping much better and I am already noticing the negative side effects of the pill going away. After FINALLY getting my prescription, I am going to put it in the cupboard and continue for a while without it. My natural happiness and joy is coming back, after being suppressed so long thru chemical medications that ALL come with negative side effects.

Worthless scam..

Worthless scam... We used them to get my wife birth control. They only gave us a prescription for one month. To renew your prescription you need to book another appointment and pay their fee. They don't tell you this on their website. Stay far away from this scam company...

Excellent telehealth…

I am so confused by the negative reviews. My son had a telehealth video appointment with Lisa Hansen. She was amazing! Thorough, asked a lot of questions, his meds were called in immediately and we could not be more happy with this telehealth! Highly recommend!

Had 3 appointments, no one actually wants to treat me. First two suggested someone who specializes in trauma and the third spent the last 20 min of our appointment looking up books to refer me to. Not listening to me. Horrible let down when your looking for help going through the worst time of your life.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. They took my $99 and did not give me anything that I went to them for.
I was very clear on the reason I needed to consult with the doctor. I had the video consult and the PA said she can't help me with that problem I need to see a specialist. They should never have given me the appointment if it is something they can't help me with. They charged me $99 and did not do anything to help me. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Overpriced, Unreliable, and Completely Frustrating

My experience with Doctor On Demand was extremely disappointing. The appointment process seemed simple at first, but everything went downhill from there. I dealt with long wait times, unclear communication, and a provider who felt rushed and uninterested in actually helping.What frustrated me the most was the billing. I was charged more than expected, and getting a clear explanation was nearly impossible. Customer support was slow and unhelpful, leaving me feeling ignored.Based on many similar complaints about hidden fees, poor service, and unresponsive support, my experience doesn’t seem uncommon.Overall, this felt like a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable or professional healthcare.

Do NOT use Dr On Demand

Do NOT use Dr On Demand. What a waste of money, insurance, and time. Total scam. Severe cough for my 16 yr old son - affecting his sleep, comfort, pain from the continuous coughing, wearing him down - and I’m trying to get him some relief. But it is "against their policy" to prescribe cough medicine to children because ‘some’ studies have shown it's not effective. However, based on experience, I know an Rx is the ONLY thing that provides relief. We have tried every OTC med and none help. I have used other virtual care apps in the past and they didn't hesitate to prescribe him cough meds to help relieve his symptoms. So now my insurance will be billed for a virtual care visit where the Dr on Demand suggested we take the OTC meds (that haven’t worked) or go see another doctor if we wanted to get him on a prescription.

Trust the bad reviews

Trust the bad reviews! They have the WORST customer service. I canceled my appointment 24 hours before my appointment. I did it by messaging the customer service and of course they didn’t get back to me about 48 hours later so they charged me a late fee. I tried to fight it and they said they don’t take back late fees. Well keep that up and you will have NO customers. By the bad reviews they have, you’d think they’d change

Doctors on platform are unprofessional

I tried using the platform to see a different psychiatrist, only to be dismissed and made to feel like I was doing something wrong by trying to get new eyes on my mental health. I am a nurse practitioner and I know it's normal to try to find a doctor thats right for you. This psychiatrist Dr. Joshua Werblin who looks like he takes lithium on a daily basis himself was so demeaning, dismissive, made me feel like an idiot for trying to see a new provider. I hung up because the appointment was just getting irritating. Had I done my research I would have seen that he is not a good doctor and he has actually been disciplined by the medical boards in the past, for something simple but still speaks about his character. Dr On demand allows these type of providers onto their platform, and I personally will never book another appointment with Dr. On demand. I will find a doctor that works for me, thats my right and anyones right. I reached out to Dr on demand to report my experience and no one from the platform ever responded to my concerns. After I hung up 5 minutes into the appointment, I must of cried for the next 30 minutes and was upset for the next few hours. I would never treat a patient in this manner.

SCAM SERVICE

Dr. on demand is a scam service - they don't have doctors but rather two bit nurse practitioners that have the nerve to hang up on you. I had to charge back the B.S they attemped and will never use this service again. I will be filing a formal grievance with both my insurer and my employer as well as the better business bureau.

Scam!

Scam!! Every time I have booked an appointment with them. It says I owe zero dollars with my insurance and now all of a sudden they’re trying to charge me $120 from past appointments. And when you try to call them or ask them, you can’t get a hold of anyone.

I would have rated it five stars. Last year was my first time using Dr on Demand. I used it for the first time because my in person primary care had left the practice and I needed refills for maintenance medication. I then set up an appointment for annual physical. Knowing that my last in person one was all talk and lab work, I liked the convenience. However, since my insurance pays 100% for Dr on Demand, I never received a bill. That is until 6 months later when I got a collection notice for the second visit. I contacted included health and they told me that it was a glitch and that I shouldn't worry about it and wouldn't receive any additional collection notices. About a month later I received another collection notice. Contacted included health. While waiting, I went to the collection site and found that the visit had been mis-coded as self pay. This time they admitted that was the issue and resubmitted to my insurance. Problem solved or was it? After this received a notification from my insurance company about a claim with the lab that Dr on Demand had sent me to for testing. The claim was processed as out of network. I contacted included health and they asked if I had chosen the lab. I couldn't remember after 6 months, but later found the conversation with Dr on Demand on the included health app. It clearly shows that during the initial previsit that I was given a choice of labs, the closest was 45 minutes from home, but only 15 minutes from my work. I checked the covered labs in the included health app and it didn't show anything close to me. I contacted included health about this again with this information and they told me that with the new information, quality control would contact me within 5-7 business days. After 7 business days I contacted them. No helpful response. Today, 11 business days later, I contacted the original person and was told that it was still under review and would be another 5 business days. When I told them that I believe that they were just pushing it out so that I would give up, she just repeated what was said. Seriously, we need single payer/universal healthcare.

5 minutes late to counseling and got charged 158 dollars

I got charged 158 dollars because I was 5 minutes late to a 50 minutes counseling session. The app took down the session link so I couldn't even enter the session. Multiple calls and emails made. The staff told me it was my fault to be 5 minutes late to counseling session. Come on, counseling session has usually 15 minutes grace period and the session won't get cancelled but shortened if being late. If your platform can't practice beneficence and ethical care for counseling clients, don't offer those services. I deleted the app. More worries and stress were caused by the app. Not worth it.
