Everything about our experience during this tough time was exceptional with Elissa and the team at DL.

From literally the minute I called to assist with picking up my father at his place of death, to the meeting the next morning..... the weight of the world was taken off my shoulders. The professionalism is beyond wonderful. They make you feel that you are special. Thank you for all your assistance and true concern.

Recently, my husband passed away very unexpectedly. I was in no condition to be shopping around for a funeral home to handle my wishes. I enlisted my dear friends in this task. They called me a few hours later and said they had a wonderful conversation with Julie from Distinctive Life. They had made an appointment time for Julie to come to my home to discuss my wishes. I was very happy to know that during this time I didn't have to think about leaving my home and traveling to a funeral home to discuss things. Julie was a very warm and compassionate person, She kept my wishes in her mind throughout the process and had my back during some very difficult decisions. I couldn't have gotten thru the process without her. I do appreciate the way that this company handled things and would recommend them AND Julie in a heartbeat.

Only question I had was the cost - cost of the basic, simple box cremation. Thought it was overpriced.
But the people were very nice.

I truly appreciate how Distinctive Life took care of our needs. We had actually started to pre-plan for my dad's arrangements and found that cremation was a much more reasonable financial option. I was glad that they offered a veterans package which was what we selected since dad was an Army veteran. After our initial meeting, I was given a business card, but didn't realize how soon I would need it. However, I was grateful that I had Distinctive Life's business card the night my dad transitioned. We called within the hour to notify them that we would need their services. From that point on, we didn't have to worry about much of anything with the exception of final arrangements. I highly recommend them and will pre-plan my own arrangement with them. Eternally grateful, the Henderson Family.

During a very rough time for our family we selected Distinctive Life Services for our Cremation needs. Decisions are very difficult when someone passes and their experience and guidance was very helpful for this entire event. They were not pushy or trying to sell a "one time package deal". It was a straight forward experience and for that we are very greatful. Thank you.

The funeral director, Brenda, was amazing. She accommodated all of my requests without hesitation-while remaining kind and compassionate. She was very efficient, but never rushed. I felt comfortable with her immediately.
The gentleman at the crematorium was just as kind, patient and accomodating.

Very professional. Easy to work with

It is good to know the dead do not complain about it being too hot in here, the convenience and sensitive show of caring is almost worth the cost, but I still think the price is too high, perhaps we should lay them out for the birds to practice there dinning skills in preparation of the end time feast

Our family could not have asked for more caring, professional people than those at Distinctive Life. They were there for every step of a journey that none of us wanted to take.

This was a very difficult time for us and you made the experience a little easier.

Distinctive Life was recommended to me by the hospice which had been taking care of my sister. I was very impressed by the staff's concern at all times about my feelings, decisions, and handling the grief process. My call was made late to them but they sent someone way across town to reach us and from that point on kept me totally updated. The arrangements were very suitable and pricing was excellent. I especially like the memorial items which they could create for each member of our family who had different requests. Very professional, caring, and will definitely use them again and refer others to them. The atmosphere in their facility is very calming and up to date, not old & musty like most funeral homes.

My husband, Mike, was retired from the U.S. Army. My family worked with Brenda Batman-Durham at Distinctive Life. She and her co-workers were all very caring and compassionate. Brenda came to our home to help us make arrangements rather than having us come to the funeral home. She made it convenient and comfortable for us. Distinctive Life has a very nice veteran's memorial package that was very reasonable. Brenda also coordinated the funeral mass at church with the interment at the DFW National Cemetary. She did everything for us and I so appreciate it. Brenda and the rest of the staff were very professional and compassionate. She followed up by inviting us to a grief and recovery group sponsored by a local hospice chaplain. I really feel she left nothing undone and took wonderful care of our family through our most difficult task.

Once a loved one passes, you trust most people. They did however, once they had the body, remove the body as requested, in a timely manner. Two days later, when discussing fees, the price had doubled from what was originally "quoted" , and since they already had the body, we were stuck. We arranged the memorial to be sure the ashes would be there, they were not. When called as we were waiting at the church, we were told the traffic was heavy, and they had called the Church on Friday to arrange delivery and the Church never called back, so on Monday, the ashes still had not been delivered. After the Memorial, the ashes were delivered to me in the parking lot. Two weeks later, when I called about the death certificate, I was told "there was a paper shortage", and the certificate would be a while. Then, I got a call later that day that my certificate may already be there and had been overnighted to me the day before ( a holiday) and should be there that day. It did show up three days later, no overnight, just postmarked two days after the phone call. My experience, I hope, is not normal for your organization, but I could not recommend your services to anyone.

I was scared. I had no clue what to do. My mom just died. Crying and in pain, they helped me from beginning to end to ensure mine and my moms wishes were fulfilled. I would definitely use them again.

I would highly recommend them. They were compassionate and flexible. They communicated every step so I knew exactly what would happen and when.

They are not accustomed to making 2-sided prayer cards but will work with you if you want them
