The Dish company is not so good …BUT

The Dish company is not so good …BUT, here in Port Charlotte, Fl, we had a technician named Gonzalo who went WAY above and beyond. I would definitely recommend him for any Dish job.
I was supposed to get a survey FROM Dish but never did so I couldn’t let Dish know directly. I hope they see this. Gonzalo deserves accolades AND a raise!!! He wouldn’t leave until everything was RIGHT. After TWO other techs tried and failed, Gonzalo fixed us. I would recommend him specifically if I could. I just don’t know how.

Terrible Installation and Customer Service – Unsafe and Unprofessional

Dish Network came out to install service at my home and did a completely unacceptable job. They ran wires along the sides and front of my house without my permission, damaging my siding in the process. Even worse, they strung wires across my stairs in an unsafe way, which caused people to trip and get hurt.
When I called Dish to fix the mess, they refused to send anyone out, so I ended up having to pay someone else to repair their mistakes. Despite all of this, Dish has not reimbursed me for the siding damage and even had the nerve to charge me a cancellation fee after everything I went through.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and costly. The installation was unsafe, the damage was ignored, and the customer service has been terrible. I would strongly caution anyone considering Dish Network — they do not stand behind their work or care about their customers’ safety or property.

I’ve been a customer of Dish network…

I’ve been a customer of Dish network since 2011 I just received my new bill and it went up again. I get the basic package no frills no expensive add-ons nothing they raise my rates from $69 a month which I was not happy about paying to $75 a month which I’m really pissed off about paying. I called their customer service. I had some holier than now moron trying to tell me how nice it would be if we can both be nice to each other and touchy feeling and you know what I wasn’t being rude nasty or raising my voice. I was asking for a simple explanation as to why the hell are you raising my rates? They gave me the same old song I had heard the last time which was within this year that they’re raising the race because the cost of their programming is gone up. They offered no discount no senior citizen discounts no loyalty discounts nothing I’m tired of Dish. I’m going to get rid of these people. They suck. There’s no way in oh and by the way they said oh we’re gonna give you 200 free channels I don’t want 200 free channels. I watch about two or three channels that’s it. I want reduced rates. I’m tired of Dish. I’m gonna get rid of them and I suggest no one signed up for this rotten lousy, horrible company.

What a nightmare

What a nightmare - sloppy install, unreliable service snarky customer service people for making complaints, ,then scheduled repair technician do NOT show up for appointments. Then when you try to cancel you have to wait at least 25 minutes to talk to a person then they will say they can't hear you and hang up so you have to start over. Try streaming over this poor and expensive option. Finally got my contract cancelled today after having no service for 90 days at a rate of $180 a month.

Dish has got to be the ABSOLUTE WORST

Dish has got to be the ABSOLUTE WORST! Cox wasn't good, but Dish has to be the Absolute WORST. Has to be rebooted every single day. We had guys out every few months. The guys try and help, we'll what they actually do us sell you and it still doesn't work. Of course no offices to go to, everything is in the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, people can't even speak English. What kind if company is this? They constantly BS you, don't fix anything and take your money. Better business bureau is goingvto help.

Dish wants YOU to pay them to fix THEIR equipment that you pay them monthly to lease for their service..BS!
They reduce the number of channels in a package and still charge the same price - robbery!!!
Contacting them is a nightmare and a waste of time when you finally get off holding..

$190/month for 14 years and the service failed every time it rained, snowed, or was windy. When I tried to cancel, the rep kept putting me on hold and even dragged out stupid small talk about sports teams in my area. It appeared to be an attempt to wear me down. I told him I was on a time crunch, but he didn’t care, he just kept repeating “it’s part of the process, ma’am.” Only then did they suddenly offer to cut my bill by MORE than half after years of overcharging me. They also told me to climb on my roof to remove equipment or face charges, then mailed me a box for gear I said I couldn’t remove. Easy to pay a bill online, but canceling is made nearly impossible. I do not recommend DISH.

🔥 WARNING: Do NOT Join Dish Network Worst Customer Service Experience Ever!

We were loyal Dish Network customers for over 10 years. Recently, we decided to cancel the service because we simply no longer needed it. That’s when the nightmare began.

Cancelling Dish Network is nearly impossible and it’s a painful, frustrating, and deliberately complicated process. The moment we called to cancel, they started playing games. Multiple reps, endless holds, transfers, and pressure tactics to keep us from leaving.
Even now, the cancellation still isn’t complete. They’ve tried every trick to squeeze more money out of us and keep delaying, misleading, and dragging out the process. It honestly feels like you can check in, but never check out.

If you’re considering Dish Network, please DON’T.
Unless you’re prepared to stay with them for the rest of your life (and maybe even beyond), avoid this company at all costs. After death, they’ll probably still keep charging your loved ones and making their lives miserable.

I truly don’t understand how a company with such predatory practices is still allowed to operate. Absolutely shameful.

We signed up for this service 5 months…

We signed up for this service 5 months ago. The Hopper never worked, the service was constantly being disrupted with “resuming session “, also we were supposed to get Netflix included which never happened. when we asked questions they were rude and did nothing. We cancelled and the service person told us we would have to pay $280 To cancel. Then somebody else called and said that it would be $380 plus $25 for the return of equipment. Now today we get a bill for $438. And we have no recourse. They breached the contract and we have to pay for their bad service and rude customer service. Lesson learned.

I have been a customer for over 4 years…

I have been a customer for over 4 years and i am no longer under a price contract so last month my price went from $109 to $178 i called and was told there was nothing that could be done about it but it was going to drop to $142.00 still to high for what i have. So i changer services and called to terminate service and was told i still have a contract for equipment and it would cost me $185.00 to terminate which included $25.00 for shipping the equipment back. Which was waved. wow! I was not told anything about this equipment contract until i already changed services so i have no option but to pay it. Good buy and good riddance dish network

NO RECOMIENDO DISH

contrate dish por mas de 12 años, se supone que cancele en el mes de Junio 2025 ya la mensualidad pagada, y que tenia que pagar otra, posteriormente me hicieron mas de 60 llamadas en 1 día, a fuerza te obligan a pagar para que te puedan hacer la cancelación. DE MI PARTE NO RECOMIENDO DISH.

DON'T SUBSCRIBE!!!

I will NEVER go back to DISH or any Cable company again. When I signed up with DISH I agreed to their offer of a year; meaning I could not cancel before a year was up. My year ended May 2025. Been on the phone for approximately 45 minutes speaking with a middle-eastern representative. Gave them information that needed to verify the account. The rep.then told me he was going to give me another number to call so that I can request a shipping box and label in order to return equipment. So, I called number, spoke with another representative and I had to do the exact same thing with this rep.that I did with prior rep. This rep.is the person that told me that I had been with them since May and that I was able to basically cancel. Put me on hold to get everything set up for return of equipment. My estimated time on hold was 18 minutes! I pretty much was on hold for that amount of time. I then spoke with my 3rd representative, he told me he was in customer service and would help me! He asked for the same information that I answered with the 2 prior reps. I explained that he was the 3rd person that I've spoken with and been asked for the same information. He did not know why? So now I'm arguing with this rep.because he tells me I have 10 more months on my contract; that DISH will need me to pay $200, to get out!!!! I will never go back to cable, I HAVE FINALLY LEARNED MY LESSON THE HARD WAY!!! I am so sick of people, rip-offs, and total dishonesty.

I have been sitting on hold for the…

I have been sitting on hold for the past 30 minutes. I am cancelling this nightmare today. There is nothing they can say or do to make me change my mind. I have been an unhappy customer for 16 years. It is always one thing after another. We do not have other options out here in the woods. 2 weeks ago a tech did not finish the job. He said I would get a call in a week. I have not gotten a call. I still have a wire running through my yard. Today they tell me I have to call 811 and get a dig permit for them to REPLACE AN EXISTING WIRE. I'm done. Dish sucks.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS COMPANY

Absolutely horrendous company and the customer service should receive ZERO stars.

When I switched I was promised a $350 debit card. NEVER CAME. I was promised $82.99 a month and within 6 months is was $160 and they simply added things to my account.

Just try calling customer service. And when you tell them the issue, they get nasty with you. They make things up and they don't care a wit about their customers.

I'm out of Dish and will NEVER return. Save yourself time, money and huge aggravation and run from this company.

THEY ARE HORRIBLE AT EVERY TURN.

Never pay for MLB-TV through Dish, go direct to MLB-TV

Just want to share a specific experience, of getting MLB-TV through Dish. You pay the same price as if you're going through MLB, but you don't get any of the features. There is a setup through MLB to link your Dish account to the MLB app on, say, an iPad, but it DOES NOT WORK! Chat with Dish confirmed that. NEVER set up MLB through Dish -- I'm referring to the MLB-TV streaming option, not to the expensive sports package that includes the MLB channel etc.

Bad service

My elderly parent have had dish at least 9 years and always paid the bill. Dish failed to mail the bill so the account went unpaid. They billed them for the month they missed and the current month. Ok., no problem. Mailed the check for the full amount the day after receiving the bill. Called customer service to tell them the check was mailed. They threw on the guilt trip about how they hadn’t paid and even mocked me when I told them their reviews were bad. I told them they are a bad company and they are. Just a bunch of jerks.
