I can’t believe I waited so long to upgrade my CC processing for my small business. It’s easy to think it’s not worth building a new relationship. I used PayPay and square for years. After a reference from another small business owner and a few talks with the folks at Dharma, I took the leap. Dharma wasn’t only there every step of the way but they really care. I feel like a human being with this company and not just another account that gets thrown in a queue when things go wrong. And lucky me, I haven’t had any batching issues after switching to Dharma. I’ve loved my experience and will absolutely be recommending them to anyone who will listen.

Dharma started charging us a $40 fee and when we inquired what it was, they indicated that it was a mistake. They said it would be updated in the next billing cycle. That was a few months back and they keep adding the charge and we keep having to ask them to remove it/refund it. It's a pain. Dharma is not simple like most merchant processors we've dealt with. It is a cobbled together mess of systems that all require regular upkeep in your logins, PCI compliance checks and scans. If you are interested in something that will simplify your business practices, we did not find this to be the solution for us.

After using PayPal, QuickBooks or Stripe account for many years of processing, I decided to work with an adult payment processor. I chose Dharma due to their reputation. Onboarding was easy. Instructions on setting up and using the account were very clear.
Always have great access to the Help Desk, and it is marvelous to not have to deal with someone who is just running a script to answer any questions.
HIGHLY recommended.
We joined Dharma recently--the service has smooth and a great experience. I really like their transparent pricing model and their willingness to help solve our issues.

We were looking to change our processor because we were upgrading our IT systems. While searching, we were looking for a processor that services NFPs by providing competitive rates and has support modern technology. Dharma was recommended to us by another NFP and it turned out to be a great choice. We got great tech support as we upgraded our systems to work in harmony with processor and got a rate that is about a third less of what we paid with previous processor. We have a dedicated contract person who is an email away and is quick to respond. I would recommend this processor to NFP that is looking for a CC processor.

They have hired unqualified VPs who don't know how to initiate talks with a new business, seems like working for paycheck only, doesn't seem they take ownership in helping future customers.
I have only used the service twice so far and both times I was not able to get in because the two-step authentication doesn't work! Wasting my time! I would like a refund

I’ve never had such an awful experience. First off the machine was sent without the cable - it says only to use a specific cable which wasn’t included. When I called I was told it isn’t included and I can’t buy one. Someone else called me back and sent it to me. First 40 minute phone call.
Next the machine wasn’t plug and go. It was the wrong machine - the more expensive model (of course) and the tip line wasn’t set up. Another 4 40 minute phone calls. So finally I am told it’s all set. Well.... come to find out the tip line doesn’t work with debit cards. So ..... another round of phone calls. After spending another day trying to figure THAT out .... someone finally s me that this machine can’t take tips on debit cards.
So .... after over a dozen phone calls, the wrong machine and a not programmed machine .... I have a machine that I can’t even use in a restaurant.
A complete waste of time.
You need to call and sit on hold forever to get transfer to tech support. No exaggeration- plan to spend at least an hour or more per phone call.
Denieal was extremely helpful, she tried to help me as much as possible. But this company is AWFUL!!!!!! I can’t stress that enough.
I am supposed to be sending the machine back and getting a refund for the money charged (for the machine). Let’s see if that happens.
What a nightmare.
In 12 years of business I have fielded hundreds of sales calls from processors courting new business. Their sales tactics are typically aggressive and rely on fostering a notion that only they can save you from throwing away your money on other processors that are out to get ya. Finding a company that does not rely on aggressive/tricky sales tactics but instead gives you the information relevant, remains available for follow up questions, and then lets you make your decision without harassment was refreshing and appreciated. Ron Lewis was patient, knowledgable, and wiling to answer the million questions I had as a new E commerce customer. Top notch service.
It was very easy for us to set up service. We're on day 1 today so still can't speak about how that is but getting in was great.
Ron was great! Responsive, thorough, and patient with educating me on the whole process.

We haven't begun using them fully yet, but I was still confused on all the prices associated and what Dharma does compared to the needed accounts with MC Merchant and Authorize.net. As someone new to this, I guess I needed more step by step help. Looking forward to how it grows with us, however!
