Deliciously Guilt Free is a small, family-run British chocolate maker on a mission to prove that giving up sugar should never mean giving up great chocolate. We make artisan, no added sugar chocolate for people who love chocolate but want less sugar in their lives. Whether you’re living with diabetes, following a keto or low-carb lifestyle, or simply trying to cut down on sugar, we believe you still deserve seriously delicious chocolate. And we mean proper chocolate. We use high-quality cacao, real cocoa butter and carefully chosen ingredients to create rich, smooth chocolate without adding sugar or using palm oil. Our chocolate is made in small batches, stone-ground for days and carefully tempered by our team before making its way to you. Deliciously Guilt Free started in our family kitchen when founder Dan began creating low-carb treats for his wife during her pregnancy after she developed gestational diabetes. What began as one husband trying to make something delicious for his wife has grown into a family business serving thousands of chocolate lovers across the UK. We’re still small. We’re still learning. And we still care enormously. Every day, our little team strives to make the very best chocolate we possibly can… for you.

Took over two weeks to arrive
Took over two weeks to arrive, one bar cost £5 in delivery charges and they sent me the wrong order (I got orange but I asked for plain milk). One bar is also £8. Chocolate does taste nice when you get it and I would love to order from them again but at two week delivery at £5 and £8 a bar, I won’t be unfortunately.

Stephen, I’m really sorry about this. Getting the wrong bar after waiting that long is not the experience I want anyone to have with us.
I’m glad you enjoyed the chocolate itself, but I completely understand why the delivery time, postage cost and then receiving Orange instead of the Milk you ordered has taken the shine off it.
We make our chocolate in small batches and our usual turnaround is 3–5 working days, but over two weeks is far longer than I’d want you waiting. And regardless of anything else, sending the wrong bar is our mistake.
Please get in touch with us if you haven’t already so we can put that part right for you. I’d hate for this to be the reason you don’t feel you can order from us again. hello@deliciouslyguiltfree.com

Frater, I’m really pleased you’ve found something that fits with keto and still gives you that proper chocolate fix.
When you genuinely enjoy chocolate, being able to keep it as part of your routine can make such a difference.
Thanks for giving DGF a try 🍫

Kevin, sounds like the Dark Mint made you wait for it... but at least you finally managed to get some 😊
“Not yet found anything remotely to complain about” is a pretty brilliant compliment, especially from a long-time customer.
Really glad the Mint was worth the wait 🍫

Love the caramel and orange but close 3rd the milk chocolate, order came quite quick considering the royal mail problems just right for my birthday treat

Traceyann, Caramel first, Orange second and Milk in a very respectable third... I like that ranking 😊
I’m really glad the order arrived in good time and, even better, that it made it there for your birthday treat.
Hope you had a lovely birthday and enjoyed every bit of it 🍫🎉

Marion, I love that it’s become both a little treat for you and something you’re happy to give as a gift too.
It’s also great to hear about your own experience with your blood sugar. Everyone responds differently, of course, but I know how reassuring that can be.
Thanks for trusting DGF for those everyday moments and the special ones too 🍫

Jody, “chocolate heaven” and “a dream come true” are pretty special words to read.
If you’ve had to cut right back on sugar and had gone without chocolate for a while, I can imagine how good that first taste must have felt. I’m really glad DGF has given you a way to enjoy that little pleasure again.
Thank you for finding us and for such a lovely review 🍫

Thanks for the great review 🍫

Great business, Quality ingredients , ok chocolate.
I really enjoyed the foundation of what’s driven these products to be created and developed. Chocolate as we used to enjoy , is now very different and you really have to do your research to find the better quality products out there. I genuinely don’t think anything beats a good Belgian chocolate. My preference and I’m yet to experience better or even a parallel.
I wanted to try this from the basis of ensuring a high quality level of ingredients and replacement to sugar and essentially producing what sounded like (and is) a healthier chocolate experience.
It’s expensive which is understandable as it’s not a mass produced product using cheap ingredients. So the consumer will have to pay more . The bars look great, packaging could be improved but no big issue. The taste was ok, and I guess that’s my biggest issue. The texture is different to what you’d expect from a bar of chocolate and it just tastes a bit flat. My experience from trying it was simply I didn’t rush for more , I was fine for a couple of squares and to walk away. I’ve now had the 3 bars I ordered for 4 days and not rushed back for more after my initial taste.
I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t make me really want to eat it or buy more. This isn’t a scathing review at all, there are a lot of positives from this product and company. But I wanted to be honest so the company can understand why there isn’t a repeat order from me.

John, thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and balanced review.
I really appreciate that you understood what we’re trying to do with the ingredients and why the chocolate costs more to make. You’re absolutely right that we’re never going to compete with mass-produced bars on price, so for me it has to earn its place on taste and quality.
I’m sorry that, for you, it didn’t quite get there. Chocolate is incredibly personal, and if Belgian chocolate is your benchmark then I completely understand what you mean about looking for that richness and texture.
One thing I would suggest, if you still have some left, is letting it come fully to room temperature before eating it. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the texture and flavour open up much more as it warms and melts, and that can make quite a noticeable difference.
But ultimately, if you don’t find yourself wanting to go back for another piece, then I completely understand why you wouldn’t reorder. I genuinely value reviews like this because they tell me far more than a simple star rating ever could.
Thanks for giving DGF a fair chance, John.

Whilst the chocolate is very expensive it allows me a treat as a type 2 diabetic service and the products are great

Duncan, thank you for being so fair about it.
I know our chocolate isn’t cheap, so hearing that it still feels worthwhile because it gives you a treat you can enjoy means a lot. I’m also really pleased both the products and the service have looked after you properly.
Thanks for continuing to support us 🍫

Ronald, I’m sorry we missed the mark for you.
I completely understand that if the taste isn’t there for you, the overall experience is going to feel disappointing. We do have a 3–5 working day turnaround and your order was sent within that timeframe, but I appreciate it may still have felt slower than you were hoping for.
One thing I would suggest with the chocolate is trying it fully at room temperature. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the texture softens and the flavour tends to come through much better as it warms.
We make everything in small batches using proper cocoa butter and quality ingredients, but ultimately it still has to feel worth it to you personally.
Thank you for giving us a try and for sharing your experience.

Mixed result
Liked the plain but the milk has an after taste that i find unpleasant and is reminiscent of diabetic chocolate
9 oktober 2026
Svar från Deliciously Guilt Free
Philip, thanks for being honest about the difference between the two.
I’m glad the Plain worked for you, although I completely understand what you mean about the Milk. Some people are more sensitive to the taste of the sweeteners, and that can come through more strongly depending on your palate.
One thing that can help is letting the Milk come fully to room temperature before eating it, as the cocoa butter softens and the flavour tends to open up more.
Really appreciate you giving both a try.

Even better that both you and your wife are enjoying it enough to start telling friends and family. Word of mouth like that genuinely means a lot to a small business like ours.
And I’ll happily keep the “little gem” title 🍫

Just Delicious
I love this chocolate - I’m a devout chocoholic who is also a T2 diabetic, so to find chocolate that tastes marvellous but won’t raise my blood sugar is a miracle. It’s everything anyone looks for in a chocolate bar and it’s better than anything else I’ve tasted. Best of all though, is the superb customer service and personalised messaging that comes with the subscription (if you choose that way). I recently had to call DGF and was delighted to find that my name was known at the company. My issue was resolved instantly to my complete satisfaction.

Ruth, this is such a lovely review... and coming from a self-confessed chocoholic, I’m taking the chocolate praise very seriously 😊
I’m especially pleased that the personal side of DGF stood out to you too. We’re still a small business, and I never want people to feel like just another order number, so hearing that you felt known and looked after when you called means a huge amount.
It’s also wonderful to hear about your own experience with your blood sugar. Everyone can respond differently, of course, but I know how reassuring it must be to find a chocolate you genuinely love and feel comfortable enjoying.
Thank you for sticking with us, Ruth... reviews like this really do mean a lot.
