Popped in today with a slightly odd request for an odd part having been told by Halfords to 'try ebay or something'. Our request was resolved instantly! The correct part identified and supplied. Very happy customer 😀

I went in to buy a bike for my 9 year old son for the Easter hols. Staff seemed completely dis-interested, We chose a basic build at home it home black mountain bike but it was faulty, a design fault with the pedal distance to front wheel, it is also the wrong frame size, and I returned it, unused, to the shop the next day, plus the box, but they have a 'no returns' policy. I was given an email address for head office to contact, but no one has responded. We have a useless bike and no refund and no assistance. Thanks Cycle King

Excellent customer service

First tried selling me the wrong item which showed in stock at Chelmsford. I had to wait 3 weeks and make a 2nd long trip to get an item close to what I was after. Good but far from top service.

Sam at Cycle King was brilliant - needed some help with my bmx bottom bracket and Sam sorted it for me then and there. Great service thank you!

Staff were pleasant, polite and helpful, but our cycle servicing work was not even started until after the expected completion date and an essential component was not checked, resulting in failure of the part on the next use. There appears to be staffing shortages that are affecting turnaround times and quality of work.

Had my cycle serviced at Chelmsford store very helpful and done very quick .a brilliant job works great. Well done people very pleased 😀.

I didn't know that a frictionless bicycle dynamo for lights existed. It popped up on a Google Search and Cycle King were the only people selling this product. I ordered online and fortunately, Cycle King exists in Chelmsford, where I was able to collect the lighting set. The staff there are always enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.. Very easy to fit and fully adjustable. The lights work very well. Impressed.

I've recently had issues with my ebike and Steve has been great with sorting everything for me. I can always rely on all of the guys for their friendliness, great knowledge and service. I also had an issue the other week with a noise coming from the bike, and while I waited Steve was able to find the problem and sort it at £0. Always such great service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you so much Steve.

The bike was very cheap looking on collections, stickers bumpy, part didn’t look right. I was told that because it was a collection they wouldn’t refund so I had to find out my rights on this and Infact it is illegal not to offer a refund on a faulty item so I managed to get one.
I won’t be buying form this store again.

Came into the shop today (8/12/24) after going to a two other bike shops. One shut and one useless. What a difference at cycle king! Excellent, helpful and showed interest and helped me pick out a fab new bike and correct accessories. Highly recommend
