The lamp seems to be working as designed.

Reliable operation is especially important for a component designed to work continuously in the background. We’re pleased to hear that the lamp is operating as designed, Cheryl, and we appreciate you sharing your experience with the 12 GPM UV system. Thank you!
The product works as advertised. However, it is finicky and very easy to break. It took a few revisits from my well specialists for the downstream side to stop randomly leaking. One time it electrocuted my finger! They got it right this time around but this could use a more robust design.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re glad the system is now working as intended, but the repeated leaking and electrical shock you described are concerning and not the experience we expect you to have.
Even though the leak has been corrected, we would appreciate the opportunity to review what occurred. Please contact our technical support team with your order information and any available installation details or photos. If any leaking or moisture reappears near the system’s electrical components, disconnect the power and stop using the unit until it has been inspected by a qualified professional.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the design and will make sure it is shared with our product team.
