HEY THERE! My situation is a bit different from these other reviews. I did the following: 1. Applied to several jobs(4 by now). 2. Passed CCAT and aced all assessments with flying colours. 3.... Se mer

Best work place I ever had, smartest bunch of people around you, great team and clear communication from management
I found Crossover on Linkedin.
I found Crossover on Linkedin.
I am looking for a remote job. And I applied.
About a week later, I received an email and a test. It looks simple, and the email said it should take no more than 2 hours. But it's really not that simple, when implementing a user registration program at a price, with a discount over a period of time. Although he emphasized that the test should take no more than 2 hours, he gave me up to 2 days to submit the test.
With 15 years of software experience, I struggled with 4 hours to complete. Most of the time is testing with many special cases. Although quite satisfied with the results. but then I got a pretty general rejection email.
I started to have doubts because I had never taken such a test. And I started to search...
There are countless complaints about this company. Luckily I only had to spend a few wasted hours.
I think people should stay away.
They give you 15 minutes to answer 50…
They give you 15 minutes to answer 50 questions which is 18 seconds to answer each question... think about that.
These questions are filled with maths, pizzles, comprehension tests...
Damn all companies that use this piece…
Damn all companies that use this piece of ish.
Wasting time to the world.
Too good to be true? It seems the answer is yes!
I saw the job posting for Crossover on LinkedIn and decided to find out more about it since it seemed too good to be true. I'm so glad I did. What really made my decision easier was reading the positive reviews from people who allegedly work there and managed to pass that insanely difficult test. The grammar, spelling, and sentence structure in their reviews are atrocious! LOL!
I'm cross; it's over
Like scores of others here, I wasted time and care on Crossover's Mickey Mouse testing for no job. I don't know what their real game is - feeding testing data to an AI, perhaps - but their standards are suspiciously impossible to satisfy.
Poor choice for employer branding and reputation
Awful experience. Spent 3 hours, qualifying positively across 5 stages for a job application.
5 mins after I completed after those 3 hours, I was declined and the autoresponder shared that I was not a fit for the role. A huge waste of candidate's time, and a poor reflection on employers.
Never use this as an employer.
Applied for accounts payable job which…
Applied for accounts payable job which doesn’t need CPA, ACCA or CA but they need all this qualifications to do normal accounts payable job. Waste of time, they make you feel like you are unworthy.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I would never want to work for a company who uses this awful tool to hire for a position.
Trash process
Trash process, don't waste your time solving their impassable test, They are not based on scientific studies like they claim, even software engineers at MAANG would struggle with this test.
AI in HR instead of Human Reviews? You be the judge!
I would say the application process is fairly streamlined and straightforward. Yes, there are tests and practicals to complete, but if you think the job is right for you, why complain?
Where I do want to voice a concern is in the review and response category. I got a response after only a couple of hours of completing my final practical exercise telling me I was not selected to move forward for the position I applied for. Yes, a bit of a heart-smasher, but what bothers me is the turnaround time being so fast. This tells me that there is likely not a human reviewing applications even at this stage and that you are being vetted by their in-house (or external!) AI system. If I'm wrong here, please respond. If I am right, I can see how a lot of talented candidates are falling through the cracks, which is a shame. What I would offer is this: IF the applications are being vetted automatically by your HR-AI, THEN I would suggest training the AI to also give applicants constructive feedback on where they erred in their applications, to better improve the chances of repeat applications making it through to next steps in the process.
Only data gathering
This company only exist for data gathering. The let you do unpassable tests. Absolutely unprofessional and close to being a scam.
I have read many of the negative reviews...

Understand this, that the so-called "cognitive assessment" is really an IQ test. They cannot call it that for obvious reasons. So no surprise it bears no relationship to what you will do on the job. No IQ test does.
I got to the cognitive assessment part, and wanted to do some research on Crossover before I wasted my time. I am highly intelligent, but tend to do badly with timed Whiz Kid tests. 18 seconds per question? I hate that!!!!
A real IQ test takes 2 or 3 hours to do. While the outcome of their "cognitive assessment" may correlate to your actual intelligence, many would say it is not a proper test.
I think I will try to take that test anyway, just to see how I do. But one of my impediments for tests like that is that I like to spend time on each question, particularly if the question is interesting. Nope. Do that any you will go down in flames.
For once I would like to see an intelligence test that is not so damned time critical.
One spoke of an unexpected Chrome update during the testing, which disqualified him. I use Firefox on Linux, and I never get those annoying prompts. Still, another running application might kick up a prompt and steal the focus.
Overall, I get negative "vibes" for Crossover, and will not rely on it for my main income, even if I do scale all the hoops and run the gauntlets. It does have a "too good to be true" odor to it.

Learning in high Optempo
I have learned so much working for this company and really love their data based conclusions. I have worked for other organizations where decisions were taken on a whim and this company has a clear direction. The Optempo is very high which can be stressful but the pay, fully remote position, time flexibility, and professional development make it worth it.
System Engineer
I started the shift and go into the details of work with with a good job culture. There is some query which are difficult but that are interesting to work and the work culture with freedom is best part.
Overall view about company
Firstly, the people in my team are very supportive so it is nice to work in the company. The second thing is that you will get paid for what you do.
