I ordered a credit card with you guys

I ordered a credit card with you guys, but did not get paid, I had to open a ticket and it took many weeks with follow up in between to get my money. I was hoping it would go more smoothly as it was my first time using creditcardgenius.

Sorry to hear that it's taking longer than expected to receive your GeniusCash!

We deliver GeniusCash to most customers within 30 days of their application date by automatically receiving confirmation from the GeniusCash partner that the card application has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash.

Sometimes we don't receive this confirmation from the bank automatically, and a manual investigation is required. To do this, we send your application details directly to the bank when you open a ticket with us. There are various things that the bank's affiliate departmenr needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time card or account holder, that the application was started from our site, etc. Unfortunately, the manual investigation time depends on the bank and it is outside of our control.

Sorry to hear that it took longer than expected to receive your GeniusCash.

We deliver GeniusCash to most customers within 30 days of their application date by automatically receiving confirmation from the bank that the application for the credit card has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash.

Sometimes we don't receive this confirmation from the bank automatically, and a manual investigation is required. To do this, we send your application details directly to the bank. There are various things that the bank and/or the affiliate network needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time cardholder, that the application was started from our site, etc. Unfortunately, the manual investigation is completed by the bank the timeline for this is outside of our control.

We can see that you submitted a ticket. We sent your information to our GeniusCash partner on August 4th. Depending on the GeniusCash partner, please note that this process could take 6 weeks or more to complete.

We require direct confirmation from the GeniusCash partner that the application was approved and is eligible for GeniusCash in order to pay out the marketing incentive, as per our Terms and Conditions. Please note that the bank has all the information necessary to proceed with the manual investigation.

Bad faith infrastructure that withholds payouts from creditcardgenius.ca

I have had mixed experiences with CCG. When it doesn’t work, bad business practices are revealed.

I applied for a credit card using their link, and despite being approved by the bank quickly, the status on CCG never updated from pending bank approval. CCG sent ONE reminder 2 weeks after the application date and NONE again for the remainder of the 12-week claim window.

I was manually checking the status early on but over the course of time naturally forgot about it. CCG did not respond to my email inquiry after the claim window passed. Though I accept that it’s my fault for forgetting the deadline, their one-time reminder email that came early instead of near the actual deadline is a very convenient way to withhold payments in what was supposed to be a mutually beneficial relationship.

As such, I will be using other affiliate websites in the future whenever possible.

We strive to deliver GeniusCash to most customers within 30 days of their application date by automatically receiving confirmation from the bank that the application for the account has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash.

However, in some cases, we do not receive this confirmation automatically from the bank, and a manual investigation is required. If we have not received confirmation two weeks after an application date, an automated email is sent to the email address associated with the customer’s account. This email includes a link to the GeniusCash dashboard, where a ticket can be submitted so we can send the information directly to the bank for manual investigation before the offer expires.

As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, GeniusCash tickets must be submitted within 12 weeks of the application date. Unfortunately, once that 12-week period has passed, we are no longer able to submit a claim to the bank for that application.

For any future applications, if you haven't received your GeniusCash once it's been 2 weeks since your application date, please make sure to head to your GeniusCash dashboard or follow the link the email you received and create a ticket. This way, we can get your info sent directly to the bank for a manual investigation.
