Great Service
The loss adjuster visited us and explained the process clearly and instigated Disaster Care drying works very shortly after the incident. Everything he said would happen, happened as he said it would. He considered the rectification works, advised us on the best way forward and authorised works quickly and promptly. Within two months of the incident, (a flooded kitchen and dining room and ruined oak flooring) works have completed and we are delighted.

Non existent customer service
Two complaints to the Insurer and a complaint to the ombudsman have been upheld yet their service has only gotten worse. Our claim is now 5 and a half years old, and I still have no idea when it will be resolved. All progress has been driven by us. They are unbelievably poor at communicating.

Awful company , lose adjuster's they send out are un professional rude and treat you like your a scammer especially rude to my disabled elderly mother so if its you oarents dont leave them alone with them. Constantly changing what information they need, even when you provide whats requested they then say its not enough we want this other information. Also if they tell you 10:00 expect them to arrive around 11:30.

This company is an absolute shambles
This company is an absolute shambles, they were appointed by Integra Ins (who are also incompetent until it comes to sharp practice) after we were burgled. 14 months later we are still not settled, I think they must have a high turnover of staff as they recruit from the local bus stop. Two months now trying to get a simple spreadsheet from them which no one seems capable of putting together. My only positive comment on this company would be that we need them because no one else would employ them, which means a further drain on the unemployment purse.

Over a year since agreed on a cash settlement in lieu of carrying out remedy works. Slow, tedious process and after 12 months still have not received the payment agreed but they have closed the file. Seems impossible to even get a reply by email.

Shocking company
Shocking company. Clearly inadequate service and profit centric. Oct 2023 was the date of our claim and after one upheld OFS compensation claim, for failure to mobilize in a reasonable time, we are about to embark on a 2nd case due to their failure to replace like for like products. We tried for over 7 months to reach settlement after works ceased when contractors walked out never to return. We utilized their 'Contractor Connections' customer complaints process only to be led around the block repeatedly and today i received an email that is inadequate to even explain their position, so it's time to raise a 2nd case with the OFS.
If your insurance company appoint Crawfords as their loss Adjusters for your claim, point them to this site and demand another company. If you don't, then expect less than a 1 star service.

The saga continues
I have written two bad reviews for this company since February or March last year and this is my third one , I have a long way to finalise my problem with them. I have made two formal complaints directly to the insurance which were upheld and I have written to the Ombudsman, which is now being investigated. This company doesnât learn and carries on with providing the worst service I have come across my entire life. What is interesting that they check the reviews on Trustpilot so they are well aware how many very distressed unhappy clients they have. They still mislead people by responding to the bad reviews and asking them to contact customer service so the problem can be resolved, donât bother, waste of time, they never have when I contacted them. I agree with the post of VV on 3 January 2025. Letâs get together and do something about it .

Awful awful company. Would never have been use them again. They have advisors who canât even understand simple English. Sounds like they canât be bothered half the time. Claims get denied even when everything has been explained to them via email about sick leave. Seems as if they donât even look at their correspondence. I would avoid at all costs and would never ever use them even if I was dying. Even if a doctor gave me a sick note I wouldnât notify this company as theyâre absolutely useless.

Bogus company. You buy an insurance, but when you need them they decline everything. Too bad it is not possible to rate a negative review.

Professional and responsive - would certainly use again
In October 2023 we experienced a major incident and our insurers assigned Crawfords to our case. We were visited within two days, our cover was clearly explained and all our questions answered. During the year that followed we have dealt with Crawfords on a regular basis and have found them professional, helpful and responsive at all times. Particular praise must be given to Elaine and Andy who tirelessly answered our many questions and were always cheerful, helpful and at the end of a phone line if we needed them.
I've seen several poor reviews for this business and can only say that this hasn't been our experience of them - so much so that when we had a followup incident we specifically requested that they were assigned to our case.
Thanks to all at Crawfords, they have made a traumatic and stressful time very much more bearable.

absolut unseriös und inakzeptabel. Ich habe meinen Schaden bereits sieben Mal gemeldet und alle Unterlagen vollstĂ€ndig eingereicht. Trotzdem erhalte ich immer wieder die Aufforderung, die Meldung erneut ĂŒber das Portal einzureichen. Es fĂŒhlt sich an, als wĂŒrde mein Anliegen konsequent ignoriert.
Die angegebenen Telefonnummern fĂŒhren ausschlieĂlich zu Bandansagen, die keine Lösung bieten und nur Zeit kosten. Das gesamte Vorgehen ist Ă€uĂerst frustrierend und wirkt wenig kundenfreundlich.
Man bekommt den Eindruck, dass man so lange hingehalten wird, bis man aufgibt. Das ist fĂŒr mich absolut unseriös und inakzeptabel.

Customer services and crawford ignoring me where it suits and no one in charge of our claim
UPDATE 2: I am all for some positivity when I actually get it, so updating that yes on the same day as below I was finally allocated a claims handler and given an explanation from one of the (sadly few in my experience, wish I had experienced more) competent people at Crawford. Letâs hope this kind of arrangement lasts and holds for the remainder of this claim. Itâs sad what lengths I have had to go to to get the claim out of nobodyâs inbox but when it does happen (been several times for us) we do see the occasional competent person, just need to get to them (or anyone at all!). Now letâs hope this fix lasts this time!
UPDATE: the response below from Crawford is not factually accurate. I still donât know who in Crawford is our go to person for our claim, who will actually respond. And I still donât know what is going on with the claim. And no these were absolutely not resolved. Yes someone spoke to me and other things were done but no these main points are continuing to be ignored. Pls read the email carefully every line not just what you want to read and ignore the rest
Nobody at Crawford is in charge of our claim it appears, and customer services also ignoring my complaints and emails. Please donât ask me here again to just contact customer services as itâs ignored - please refer to the customer services email inbox for our complaint sent in on 27 November at 9.15am, asking for anyone with any clue what is going on with our claim to please tell me what is going on and what next steps are. Please check your emails and actually action this and not just refer me back to the customer services email address where my emails are ignored.

Water escape 23rd Sep 2024
Water escape 23rd Sep 2024, requested dehumidifiers when Aviva called me back, never heard a thing despite knowing that dehumidifiers are only useful within 42 hours, carpets flooring in bathroom dried out in situ, breakfast room ceiling half collapsed, now moulding , itâs now 19th Dec , trying to speak to anyone is impossible but today after many calls to both Aviva and Crawfords Iâm assured a call will be made to me to arrange furniture wrapped & removed to storage so carpets can be removed so flooring can be inspected for possible rot and flooring quotes can be got.
Arranging for quotes from our own builder to remove all bathroom and flooring , inspection report incase further damage found to joists etc .
Weâre certainly not at all impressed with Aviva or their chosen Assessor's etc
Hopefully repairs etc in January 2025 đ€update then
